Stupid decision, but as soon as they said it was exclusive to Xbox and not to the Xbox One it was pretty obvious it was on the 360 too IMO.

But then again, if it was "Only on Xbox One", wouldn't they have said that today at their conference? Instead of just the general "Exclusively On Xbox"?

... that's not even close to a competition and i'm not a particular fan of either series. Uncharted 3's day 1 sales were about 4 million sold (on one console)... It took Tomb Raider (2013) almost a year to hit 6 million across PS3/360/PS4/XboxOne...

Not a lot of potential there outside of resolution bumps. Barely any resolution bump at that. The same can be said of the playstation 4, but we can be a little more optimistic there.
Microsoft continues to do bad bad things for the industry. If it wasn't for the amazing ideas that came from the 360 launch era that pushed things forward and there dreamcast-like first system, they could be considered complete poison.
People were saying the same thing before the 180, that somehow MS with marketing and advertising could change people's mind about X1. I believe that in the age of the social media, this no longer applies. You can't fool a significant amount of people with "false" advertising, at least i like to think so.

So many games are timed exclusives now, or at the very least have timed exclusive DLC. Why is Tomb Raider the one game that has made people totally flip the fuck out? Most people thought Tomb Raider 2013 was either "good" or "very good"....but not incredibly OMGWTF awesome. So why is it such a tragedy that it will only be on Xbox for a while? Particularly when you have Uncharted 4 to compensate for Tomb Raider's absence...

for me its not the fact that its a timed exclusive or exclusive whatever ( I own an X1), Im just puzzled by the explanation. You want your game to be a truly optimized experience this time around, yet you're release the game on 9 year old hardware. Why not fully optimize for next-gen, so we can have this supposed true "Next gen" experience. I loved my 360 and ps3, but its time to move on heading into 2015...

I think people that are flipping out are the ones who think its not timed exclusive. There are rumors of it being timed exclusive and most people can tell it probably is but the announcement on the tumblr Tomb Raider blog still says otherwise.

Serious? The Uncharted series have each sold roughly 6 mil on one platform. TR sold that many across all platforms (probably more with PS4/X1 sales, but not by much). I can see U4 as a system seller, but honestly have a hard time believing the same for RotTR. Granted, I was one who didn't enjoy TR (and well aware I'm in the minority) but this isn't "the world cup of competitions".

Luckily, I have both systems and I've been on the other side of this type of situation before. So, I definitely understand the anger over this. I have to say that I feel as long as the game is made, I really don't care what platform it is on. I feel there is a little too much of this going on in this post.
Be a little more humble and enjoy the game. It will probably come out at a later date on the PS4 so just be patient. It will also most likely be optimized.

Almost anybody on Steam has a backlog that's at least several months' long. Waiting for a new AAA release should be more of a relief than anything else.
Though if it wasn't obvious, I was referring more to comments like this:
I thought the same until I played it and enjoyed it more than any Uncharted game. Played all the Uncharted games on PS3 (no PS Vita here) and U2 is right up there in my top 5 games of all time. TR2 is definitely one of my most anticipated games for next year among Uncharted 4 and Halo 5.
yeah, i could see ms open to the idea of outright purchasing the rights to the franchise to fill the action/adventure "blockbuster" void on the xbox, but so many things with this exclusivity deal would have to end perfectly in order for that to happen. it would have to push enough console sales and convince ms to spend whatever se demanded for the series (and potentially crystal dynamics).
going from their history , it's more likely that if this sells well ms will just spend enough to extend timed exclusivity to future tr releases.
