Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 12: Gwah, hah. Welcome to the Bowser's game.

Don't you mean your anti-buddies?

R.O.B. just wants to be your buddy. Give in to his steely cool touch.
He is not, and never will be, my buddy. >:(
It Gyro-might do yourself some good to accept that he just wants to be your friend. His sensors can only detect light, but that means you're the light of his life! And you want to crush him like he crushed those mooks for you in Gyromite? For shame...

I didn't have a ROB as a kid because I had actual friends.

I don't even know why it would be any other type of high school.

In fact....

This is amazing.

On the off-chance a DK stage is shown tonight, I want to revisit my ideas from earlier about what stage the great ape could call home. (Other than Jungle Japes on the 3DS version, I mean!)

And really, I keep thinking the cave world from Returns is where it's at. We heard the rocket-barrel theme in the Smash Direct, a theme that appeared in just about every world in Returns, but memorably so in the cave world, with the shrieking bat chasing you from behind.

IMAGINE: A cave world taking place on the Mole Train -- the series of banana-filled mine-carts that keep attaching and detaching in the boss level, as DK and Diddy worked their way to the hypnotized mole at the front of the train.

Aside from embodying the mine-cart concept that has long been a part of the Country series' DNA (and aside from being a great excuse to include the rollercoaster theme from DKC2), it would be an interesting level with moles on parallel tracks throwing bombs at you, crystal stalactites falling down, and more. It'd look pretty, too, with the overgrown mushrooms in the background, the waterwheels and aqueducts, the underground shantytown, etc.

Whaddaya think?

What version of Ganondorf do you want in?

I want a return to OoT Ganondorf with a sleek but muscular physic that tells you he's a dark warrior that calculates his and your every move. TP's fine and all, arguably a better fit for Captain Ganon, but OoT strikes as more menacing than power hungry, oddly enough.

I always thought TP Ganondorf looked more threatening.

How would you guys react if Pichu made his way back in? I know I'm in the minority but I always loved Pichu. Felt like the Dan of Smash Bros. It always felt great to win with him.

YES. We can't not be Cromartie High.

Also, I wanted Digital, but that Bundle looks soooooooo good, so it may be physical.

And I hate to say it, but we're probably getting Twilight Princess Ganondorf. I still want Handsomedorf myself, though. Maybe a DLC alt?

I've said it a lot before, but on the likely chance we get a DKCR or DKCTF stage, I'd love Grassland Groove. Though. more than that, I'd love a DKC2 stage; anything from that game would be wonderful.

Also, thank you everyone in the thread for responding to my Ganondorf question! I left for like 2 minutes and all you guys had flooded the thread.

I don't even care about the whole not tying games to actual digital account thing.
I just want the cart and case to hold and carress like I do with almost all my games.

I wouldn't be that thrilled since I feel there's a bunch of other Pokemon that would be great over Pichu. Plus, I've always viewed Jigglypuff as Smash's Dan.

I am dying to see what DK stage we get for the Wii U. A part of me is hoping Sakurai is saving it because it's part of a reveal trailer.

I haven't watched anime since Toonami in high school (exceptions: Studio Ghibli films), but I love this! What is it from?

It's called Cromartie High School and it is HILARIOUS if you like random humor.

Oh, yeah I would prefer HW Handsomedorf if given the choice, but who knows if that was ever even considered. To give a better answer than above, I want OoT Ganondorf if only because he looks energetic.

I'm thinking it'll be like the Zelda models we've seen now-- taking a basic overall look rather than using the last title for the look. TP is more or less what this overall look is, but I think Ganondorf is the most changed in all the games so I'd love to see if he's given a new look just for Smash that combines elements of all his incarnations.

Nichijou.

Damn Bandai dropping their anime licenses after licensing this. If they hadn't licensed it them I'm sure someone else would've. It's one of my favorite animes and I can't have a physical release.

At least I got the cool figures with desks.

What's with Smash Gaf posting gifs from my favorite comedy anime. Is it a sign that School Rumble is getting a stage?

I'm buying physical. It's Smash. It's a ritual to buy my most wanted games day one physical in stores. I'm not skipping out on that for Smash.

Cromartie High. One of my favorite comedy series ever.

Oh man, Mole Train'd be great! Those cave levels sure were pretty, so it'd be nice to take a tour and pay homage to DKC's strong minecart fascination. I'd still rather have Sunset Shores if they can make it work, but Mole Train's now a close 2nd!

I always thought TP Ganondorf looked more threatening.

I use to think that too. Maybe it's how Hyrule Warriors built that effect but OoT just looks like the Ganondorf we should all fear, the calculating dark sorcerer with untold amounts of power.

I like TP and, again, it's definitely a better fit for a Falcon clone. But if Ganondorf ever acquired a more magic based moveset with a hint of sword, I'd want it to be based on OoT.
