Where is the Mayor of this town at? Where the hell is the governor? Someone with some common sense needs to step in, because clearly local authorities and law enforcement are failing miserably.

The overall silence from politicians across the country shows how much they actually care. They dont.

After the tear gas clears, and the guns return to their holsters, you will see droves of politicians try to use this to benefit their careers. After the threats to turn off cameras, and the illegal incarcerations end, they will all come out and feign outrage. They will use this for political gain weeks from now, but while the batons are out and the police are swinging, they will remain silent.

Cowards.

It was a bottle. A glass bottle. They are a police line that heavily outmatch the protesters. You should not and can not indiscriminately fire tear gas and rubber bullets into a crowd, where even children are present, because a glass bottle hit the side of a truck nearby. The police have sniper rifles, assault rifles, shields, helmets, bullet proof vests, etc.

The police response needs to match the current situation, not escalate it further.

Agreed. Theyre supposed to be the ones to keep the peace, not make the situation even worse...

I'm not some knee-jerk, anti-police person. I have cop friends. But this disgusts me.

Thank goodness for social media, because we can see the reality.
 
Watching the new.livestream.com stream.... it's pretty chilling when I remind myself this is happening in my own country...
 
I like this former ATF guy on MSNBC saying he pretty much would have arrested the shooting officer the same day it happened, then let the investigation ensue.
 
It's not a "war zone". A war zone usually involves two armies. I only see one army, or at least a mob of cops with security boners playing an army, kicking the asses of the citizenry they're supposed to protect.

Fucking national disgrace.

One army has swat teams, tear gas, and snipers. The other army threw a glass bottle at a truck.
