I'm glad people are fighting back.
Fighting back with possible bullets being shot at the police and molotov cocktails doesn't seem like the solution to me. Whole solution is just getting worse and worse.
I'm glad people are fighting back.
Not live.
When police disregard the law, who will bother to regard it?
Fuck it. Why not.
Fucking idiots
I understand retaliation but it will only prevent the sympathy they would have gotten for being attacked. They could have really gotten the world on their side if they could have survived the night without retaliating. What a terrible situation.
This is crazy.
Never in my life I thought I would see this in the United States of America.
The oppressed will always persevere.
This is going to be pushed under the rug either way.

They don't appear to have had a very difficult time explaining it so far. They've been able to explain away an untold number of young, dead, black men. If they can cow the crowds back into their homes with rubber bullets and tear gas, America won't remember this in a week. There's always a choice. They are doing more harm than good by resorting to molotovs. That image will be passed around as justification while peaceful protest being broken up is harder to explain.
This whole case couldn't stink any more than it does. You can actually hear the sound of roaches scurrying from the light.MSNBC pointed out that police incident reports are open record and yet haven't been released to the press.
Holy crap this NAACP board member on MSNBC right now is only 21 years old
They are not apparently firing live ammo. If they start getting shot at though, that current restraint of rubber bullets will go away.
Attempting to murder people isn't the solution. Vandalism, looting and even burning down empty buildings at least don't endanger people's lives.
"The politicians want the black vote but they don't want to come out here." yo damn

This will only force the cops' hands.
That's old video.

That was a replay of previous footage.
You can watch the entire clip if you want. Most of us here saw it live.
They started to fire AFTER the people were standing in the steet with with arms raised 'WE ARE PEACEFUL"
I know they're calling it live footage, but I think it's from the stream that was recorded earlier.
yup.
"From what we can see, they just fired tear gas on people who were doing nothing but standing with their arms up"
Appreciate that they are being honest about this.
When your people have had war waged on them, when you've been conditioned to believe that you ain't shit, that the system is designed specifically to make your life as hard as possible, that no matter what you do, right or wrong, society will only ever see you as a worthless nigger, it gets to a point where you may think, "well, I'm not shit either way, might as well fuck some shit up."
Thought I heard that wrong for a secondHoly crap this NAACP board member on MSNBC right now is only 21 years old

He is 1000x more mature than I was at 21. I can't imagine myself holding my own on live television talking about serious issues.Holy crap this NAACP board member on MSNBC right now is only 21 years old

Ah, apologies, didn't notice. So there's nothing live at this point?
What's sad is that this image will be used to justify what's happening right now.

If you can give me a title that covers all this shit, that I can wedge into the title space, I'd be happy to. I considered changing it to [This Thread Shut Down By The Ferguson Police Department], but I'm not feeling super jokey at the moment.Exactly. When you push people to the edge, don't expect them to be calm.
Btw, any chance you could edit the title to reflect upon everything that's going down?
