One photo is from The Dark Knight Rises & one photo is from Missouri. Only one involves a terrorist with a warhead.

As they took me into custody, the officers slammed me into a soda machine, at one point setting off the Coke dispenser. They put plastic cuffs on me, then they led me out the door.
I could see Ryan still talking to an officer. I said: Ryan, tweet that theyre arresting me, tweet that theyre arresting me.
He didnt have an opportunity, because he was arrested as well.
The police led us outside to a police van. Inside, there was a large man sitting on the floor between the two benches. He began screaming: I cant breathe! Call a paramedic! Call a paramedic!
Ryan and I asked the officers if they intended to help the man. They said he was fine. The screaming went on for the 10 to 15 minutes we stood outside the van.
Im going to die! he screamed. Im going to die! I cant breathe! Im going to die!
Eventually a police car arrived. A woman with a collar identifying her as a member of the clergy sat in the back. Ryan and I crammed in next to her, and we took the three-minute ride to the Ferguson Police Department. The woman sang hymns throughout the ride.
It's one street.
One. Street.
You are a prime example of my point.
It's some fucked up shit, but it's not on the scale some of you seem to almost want it to be.
It's always amazing when you walk in to a mass group of people on GAF saying one thing and try to disagree. Logic goes out the window, you're accused of saying things you didn't say, and no one cares that you're near the situation, have first hand accounts of your friends and family, and instead choose to stick with the narrative they want to believe. Even attacking you for it. It's a little disgusting and disturbing.
It's one street. It's not a war zone.
What the cops are doing is wrong and I'm on the side of the protesters.
But there is some serious hysteria going on in here.
Who's the journalist btw? I'm not watching atm.Truth bombs on msnbc.
You don't often see that much candor from a journalist.
I have a very strong gut feeling that none of this has happened on your street. It's one street.

I'm in St. Louis by the way. And as fucked up as all this is, the situation is being over sensationalized. Sorry if you don't like that. But it's true. This thread reads like the entire god damn town is a war zone with cops somehow blocking Twitter trends. For gods sake. What was it last night? They'd cut the cable in Ferguson? All of this (again, as fucked up as it is) is contained to a pretty small section of town.
I'm not saying what the police are doing is ok, I'm saying this thread is almost like reading anarchy porn. There's some lust for this to be a war that it's simply not.
I've noticed that the trends I'm getting on Twitter right now are the same exact ones I was getting 8 hours ago. I think Twitters trend system is broken. Surely #Ferguson would be trending even in Philly?
Even changing it to all of USA it's still the same trends from 4PM. Chicken Fries are back was trending before I went to work this afternoon.
Fuck. Even changing it to St. Louis is still trends from this afternoon. Chicken Fries, Burger King and someone named Jack who made a video is trending on every location I choose.
If Twitters trend system is broken, it sure picked a hell of a time to crash.
Completely despicable.

Can't fucking believe people on social media saying stuff to the effect of, "Man, I'm so tired of hearing about this Ferguson stuff."
What the fuck.

I agree.
I have no defense for the police, but people weeping tears of blood because of tear gas and a bunch of cops more or less sitting and standing around some cars does not V for Vendetta make.
People were complaining about how the riots would take away from the murder of Brown a few days ago, and here we are getting outraged at cops moving up and down a street. Kind of ironic, no? Anarchy porn is a rather fitting term.
Again, I'm not defending the actions of the cops, but people are starting to get a little sensationalist about all of this. 90% of this stuff is consolidated along a single street in a poor suburb of north county, there is no war breaking out in the Midwest.

And violate his due process rights? If they'd backed-down several hours ago and put the officer under investigation
Maddow continuing the live coverage
And dropping truefacts
Damn, Maddow is throwing down.
didn't know about an armed protest against cops...with the cops backing down.

I bet your ass wouldn't be saying this stuff if it happened on your street.I agree.

And she's starting it out right.Rachel is back on live for a second round tonight.
Yeah, thank fucking Christ it was a poor suburb, right?
If they did this in a rich neighborhood people wouldn't stand for it.
I bet your ass wouldn't be saying this is stuff if it happened on your street.
The ToS is pretty clear that we aren't interested in seeing a lot of meta posts. If you're here to discuss the topic, you're welcome. If you're here to discuss the other posters and their posts, clear on out.
That means both sides of the fence.
If someone comes in and says something mind-boggling stupid, the best solution is to simply not respond. Saves the thread from derailing an important issue to discuss a bunch of meta shit about GAF, and it saves people from getting banned when they let someone push their buttons.
Maddow going in on the Bundy Ranch parallels.
Well lets be fair, they were white.
