Even though they aren't exactly bombs, the Search Snakes from Snake Man would be cool to replace the Crash Bomb. Just make them crawl along the ground towards the foe and explode.

I'll probably be using them. A lot of depends on what the competitive ruleset shakes out to, and how good the game turns out. If the game is fun enough to keep entering tournaments for, I'll be way more interesting in learning whatever is used there.

If it's easy enough to save/load custom sets I can absolutely see tournaments using them to tweak character balance.

They've been doing a lot of Custom Moveset features, we've already learned all of Palutena's moves from them.

I honestly can't imagine not messing around with custom moves. I mean, yeah, offline With Anyone is out, but that's such a minor part of the game's life cycle. I mean, right now that's literally impossible to do, and people are still playing Smash, right? Such a vast majority of the game is matches with friends.

If you're playing casually, which is what a vast majority of players will be doing, why wouldn't you want to tinker characters to fit your playstyle? It'd take like 5 minutes and make the game more fun. Seems crazy to ignore it.

Reading through the old Brawl leak thread is pretty amusing. Everyone used photobucket and there are so many dead links haha. People raged at Wolf and ROB being characters, and for a short while someone fooled everyone into thinking there was no Wolf and that the final character was Eggplant Wizard. It actually took quite a while for anyone to show proof that Wolf was even in the game. Someone was even saying Wolf's Red Landmaster pic was a fake.

I remember that well. I confirmed them as legit, but everyone suddenly turned against me, citing "proof" that they were fake.

I was wondering the same thing and was hoping it'd be Mega Man this week, but I found out that Famitsu is "taking a break" this week and should be back with Smash info next week.

Hell of a time to "take a break," though. But hopefully with this update, we can expect the next Famitsu column to spotlight all of Mega Man's custom specials!

Oh my god, built for it. I would give just about anything for a proper Battle Network or Star Force revival on the 3DS. I already love StreetPass and SpotPass, but those series would take them to a whole new level.

I never would've thought I'd see the day where Megaman, Rush, Beat, and Dr.Wily were modeled in 3D for a new generation.

I know. It's really a dream come true... I love the fuck out of Sakurai and his team for being so detail-oriented and doing the Mega Man series so much justice here in Smash. It is *to the letter* exactly what I always imagined in the Brawl days but thought would never happen.

I don't even care about Meta Knight or Hyrule Warriors or Ganondorf or whatever anymore. This is the hypest update of the week for me.

Inspired by other posters, here are my picks for Mega Man's customizable specials.

NEUTRAL B

Metal Blade - Can be thrown in eight directions

Shadow Blade - Boomerangs back to Mega Man after thrown if it does not hit an enemy. Cannot be thrown at downward angles.

Ballade Cracker - Explodes on contact. Can be thrown in eight directions.

UP B

Rush Coil - Like Sonic's Spring. Mega Man jumps off of Rush.

Rush Jet - Mega Man rides a hoverboard and moves horizontally. He can jump off at any time.

Beat - Like Snake's Cypher. Mega Man ascends and has super armor while holding onto Beat.



SIDE B

Crash Bomber - Throws out a gooey bomb which sticks to enemies before exploding.

Bubble Lead - One bubble rolls along floors and walls. Destroys mines, etc.

Search Snake - Up to three snakes roll along floors and walls. Destroys mines, etc.



DOWN B

Leaf Shield - Can be thrown.

Plant Barrier - Does not disappear after colliding with shields. Shield pressure or shield-breaker move.

Skull Barrier - Barrier follows Mega Man when he walks. Disappears after a couple seconds.
