Antonio was pulled from his car by police. Never got any documentation on why he was arrested.

Because of the fact that anyone searching for facts can be wrong or right. The sad thing is, Anon is better at getting the fact than most of us journalist are because they did deep. We journalist have to trust the words of strangers who can be liars. Documents that are tucked away usually spread the truth and that's the reason they're tucked away.
And you're with what news outlet?

I hope these protests continue (peacefully) to force the conversation. We need to talk about oppression and the subjugation of our citizens. The pressure is bubbling the lid.

I'm more worried that the pressure isn't. It's isolated and contained for the time being. Anon is doing their work, and peaceful protests are happening. These are good things, but I just...I'm sick and tired of not seeing changes made. Get video cameras on police officers. Have transparency in our law enforcement. Hold criminal abuse of authority accountable.

It doesn't feel like it's happening, and there are people getting killed for that lack of change. The pressure isn't where it needs to be for something to take place, because a good chunk of America doesn't care. They don't care that a kid gets killed by a law enforcement officer for no reason...probably just a mistake in their eyes. Or a reaction by the officer because he was being "threatened" and that makes the killing justified. They don't care that whites are stopped and held accountable for actions and are perceived as non-threatening FAR LESS than other races because, well, it doesn't affect them.

The don't care because they look at a reaction, like a riot, and assume that the kid that got shot is just a representation of that action, not the other way around. They don't see the protests, they see riots. They don't see people, they see thugs. And they won't care until it's too late for them, if it ever is.

This whole bloody thing makes me sad. We still treat people differently based on their skin color, and it will take generations to right that. People will have to get old and die, move around the country, integrate with different geological, sociological and socioeconomic areas and demographics of society and then, maybe, we can stop systematically treating one person different from another because of their skin.

It's crazy how some people are looking for ANY reason to justify the police actions here. "Oh no one asshole through a bottle. Unleash the tear gas. "Peaceful protest" my ass "

Don't post personal information on people. If and when authorities decide to disclose the shooter, feel free to discuss him, but don't go hunt down his FB and post it here. We don't do that.

So I haven't been following this situation as closely as I should have. Is there a good article or post in the thread that summarizes everything that's happened so far?

He's really doing great coverage of what's going on. They arrested him with an excuse, and then he gets released with no documentation. Fantastic.

So they're replacing local police with State Police. Could be good or the same. Really I don't see how they can be any worse.

Please don't tarnish the good name of Wes Goforth because you're an Anonymous hanger-on.:(

Wait, you know Wes :D?

He's awesome dude,

And this is my first time following the Anon stuff really. I used to think they were just crazy hackers with nothing more to do until I started following this whole thing.

We watch the news every night here, that's the extent of my knowledge of him.

I've followed Anonymous for a long time. It's impossible to pin down what they're about beyond normal civil unrest, and they have a terrible track record of accuracy in previous situations. Even in this situation, they've been off a lot in the past few days. At least wait for a little more confirmation.

The governor just called me and he's on his way to St. Louis now to announce he's taking St. Louis County police out of the situation," congressman Lacy Clay (D), who represents Ferguson, told Bloomberg. Nixon apparently did not say who would be replacing them.

Soo... we'll know more soon.

Peter Parker, and Jimmy Olsen were considered journalists. I think video editor is close enough.

I got my degree in communications, concentration journalism; if I were out and I saw news going on; it's part of my job to get the video, interview, and write a story so we can run it.

If I recall correctly, Anon were responsible for a lot of the Boston Bombing witch hunt. If you keep trusting them entirely, you'll end up with a tag like ChiTownBuffalo got, which drove him away from GAF.

New witness comes forward in #MikeBrown killing, confirms what at least two others saw: http://ow.ly/Ak6s2 @colorlines #Ferguson

A new witness to Michael Brown’s shooting has emerged—and she’s also got new amateur video from Saturday in Ferguson. Her account of what happened corroborates what Dorian Johnson says he saw on Saturday.

Tiffany Mitchell told KMOV News 4 that she saw an officer inside a police vehicle wrestling with Brown through the car’s window before a shot rang out. That’s when she says that Brown began running away. Mitchell says the officer fired again and Brown raised his hands in the air before being fired upon until he was killed.

“The cop just continues walk up on him and shoot him until he goes all the way down,” she recalls. Mitchell also has new video, taken from her cell phone.

Mitchell has been dealing with the trauma of witnessing Brown’s shooting and says that she cries herself to sleep as a result of what she saw.
