He'll tell the negroes to sing negro spirituals, mention the obligatory police "bad apples", try to get people to focus on "healing and calm", say nothing about police posing as military troops, may even try to get people to trust police again... I don't know.

Surely moving the body like without paramedics present has to be in violation of regulations if not the law?
#1 - Posting a response debunking a picture isn't going to change the opinion of an ignorant racist on facebook. They'll likely ignore it and move on with their life until the next situation arises that allows them to be ignorant and racist (without learning from previous mistakes).
#2 - If you can't defriend them, hide their posts. You may think that it's hard to defriend family, but instead you are basically looking for a way to one-up them in public, which seems it would cause more animosity.
Personally, I just go with defriend once someone I know makes a racist post, and when they ask why (if they even ask), I privately explain it.
I don't think he'd take time to make this statement if he didn't have some substance to back it up with. We already got a statement from Obama about his death.

Yes. They've been doing interviews with other media outlets all night and morning.
While it sucks they've probably pointed out the wrong man, it does put pressure on the PD to release the proper name.

In this situation, perhaps. But in a world where we have been somehow convinced race is a big deal, and have a world act and live with that type of petty conflict? It wouldn't be too far to assume unless you were the majority of a culture, you are a less than. Especially with constant issues stemming from it, even today.
Sure, it's bullshit, but that is the status quo of many societies, most of which are founded on and value bullshittery.

I'm not holding my breath. You have officers in military gear arresting peaceful citizens and arresting the press/ disabling their equipment. There needs to be way more than a speech.

Why wait till the latter half of the afternoon to make a statement? Seems like this should be something that is addressed ASAP.

Would it be fair to say that the Al Jazeera reporters were assaulted by being fired upon with tear gas? That was sickening and I'm glad the local police are being pulled away.

Ya know, it's gotten to the point that even if anonymous releases the wrong person's name, at the very least the Police force then will be forced to put out the right person's name. Or at least that's what one would think.
Anything he says about it is just words. What we need is laws -- I don't know if he's prepared to do any serious about it so I'm not holding my breath either. Although realistically, I'm not sure if there's anything he can do about local police officers. I hope he doesn't give another lukewarm, "so sorry" type statement if he is indeed addressing Mike Brown.

Surprisingly, (its on the Michael Berry fanpage, dont even know who this guy is) a lot of the comments are defending Michael Brown, one person even said "if a unflattering photo constitutes murder then none of you would be safe"
More importantly someone said its a photo of Joda Cain.
Surprisingly the member of my family that "liked" the photo has removed his like.
The implication is there.

Yeah but that's the thing. I really DON'T want him to talk about it if he doesn't have a plan of action. He's said enough about the situation by giving his condolences to the family. I certainly hope he gives an executive order, but again, who knows with this president.
