Yeah this. ATLA will be something I'll recommend to everyone if they ever feel like watching anime/cartoons.
With Korra I always have to do two things:
1. Ask if they've seen ATLA. If not I point them there first.
2. Need to say it with a 'but'. aka " it's decent but there are better shows out there to watch first"
Well I mean there's more of a chance. I've disabled ABP on Nick to support the show.

But yea huge fan of avatar, and got to say 3rd season really shaping up to be really good. Wasn't a big fan of second and didn't like the pacing of the first. 3rd season seems to be best in both those regards only complaint i have is that its ending soon

HOLY SHIT THAT WAS AMAZING!!!
Seeing Aang's kids take on the Red Lotus was awesome.
Loved that Tenzin was better than Zaheer, only having trouble when the rest of the Red Lotus came to Zaheer's aid. Was seriously worried for Tenzin though near the end, thought Zaheer was gonna pull anther asphyxiation death.
Kya and Bumi were awesome too, they lost but still put up a great fight.
Kai was also cool during this fight.
Also, Iroh was back

Tenzin is the boss. Finally he proves himself worthy of the title of airbending master.

Aang's children fight the Red Lotus, but P'Li has the upper hand, acting as a sniper from an airship. Kai manages to escape.

Here are the rest of my reactions:
Korra tells Zuko about Iroh still being alive in the Spirit World. Zuko is shocked "Wait, you saw my uncle?!"
Ba Sing Se is crumbling, everywhere.
Lol, even the Queen's guards join the looters. Mako and Bolin commandeer the airship, like in the clip. Bolin tries to fly it, gets the hang of it.
Ba Sing Se "is falling to pieces", and Mako and Bolin are fighting over who flies it best. They try to rescue their family and grandma, but grandma refuses to flee, saying its her home. But Bolin takes her grandma anyway by force, and the rest of the family (causins included) leave on the airship.
Ba Sing Se turns to hell just as they leave. The entire family heads to the Si Wong Desert in search of Korra, as Mako and Bolin are still trying to get to her and deliver the message. They find the airship and tracks leading to the Misty Palms Oasis.
They reunite with Korra.
They go back to Zoufu and try to radio the Northern Air Temple for help.

Did Tenzin....die?
Pretty Good episode
The fight scenes were fantastic in this episode and it sure got tense in the second half of the episode
Loved how will finally got to see two Master Air Benders going off at each other, Tenzin finally showing off how badass he can be. It looked he would have beaten Zaheer if the other Red Lotus members hadnt come to save him at the end
Poor Tenzin not looking so good at the end there

Nice to see Iroh back and finally Zuko finds out about iroh being in the spirit world, Wonder if Zuko will try and visit him
Ba Sing Se sure fell to anarchy pretty fast. The city was not looking so good as Bolin and mako were leaving it, Going to be interesting what sort of impact this has on the avatar world

So reading the spoilers I'm glad to hear that my predictions over
are holding true because it'd be bullshit if
Tenzin being the greatest airbender currently around
zaheer were to beat him. Even if he is talented he doesn't have years of training
Zaheer's fighting style (based on The Ultimatum episode)
However,
Zeheer fights and moves exactly like a gymnast/acrobatics. This would explain his competence with airbending.
However,
against Tenzin, who actually moves like an airbending master, Zaheer's movements looks childish in comparison. I thought they did an amazing job showing how Tenzin is super light on his feet whilst airbending and dodging Zaheer's attacks whereas Zaheer does flips and shit but they don't really help him avoid attacks.

Tenzin fought with grace, Zaheer was all about flashy moves and he was easily outclassed

Ghazan definitely is nowhere near as skilled as Toph, she would have beat Bumi in seconds, he just has that OP lava bending.
Love that they showed how a real master airbender fights vs Zaheer who just uses his natural acrobatics to get by.
Would have liked to see Jinora prove why she can be considered a master airbender.
This season needed an episode that was about developing the RL team, I really do hope they continue on to season 4.

Doubt he is dead more knocked out to use as bait for Korra but then again the show has been doing some stuff I never expected it would do (Earth queens brutal death etc)

I was expecting Zaheer to suffocate him after Tenzin said that he won't stop as long he was breathing.

I'd imagine it would be really hard to suffocate a bender during a fight. Especially an airbender who can just push himself up and out of the way.
In order to suffocate an airbender, I'd imagine Zaheer would need Gazan to hold Tenzin down and into the ground using earthbending. But even then, master airbenders can fight with their breathe! Aang would go flying 50 feet into the air whenever he sneeze!

Great episode, maybe the best fighting animation all season.
It's nice to see a few old faces.
The shots of a burning Ba Sing Se were catastrophically beautiful. Really great art all around - the setting of Team Entropy v Aang's kids was fantastic as well.

Combustion ladies long range sniping was extremely smart but completely screwed over any chance Tenzin ever had of winning that fight.
Every time she attacked it was like nooo! Tenzin showed off that air bending master that I always loved from Korra's. All in all a great season so far.

Yeah really loved the scenes in Ba Sing Se as it really shows off the scope of Zaheer's actions/impacts on the world

Whilst I was glad Tenzin showed what a real master can do, I actually thought Kya should have been able to take on armless.
I mean, Tenzin became a master after learning from Aang, but she would have had Katara to learn from. Not to mention we saw here take on Zaheer and go toe to toe with him.
It's probably just that I really hate that stupid armless design.
