Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 12: Gwah, hah. Welcome to the Bowser's game.

The fanfic got really bad in Chapter 3. Hopefully 4 picks up the pace again.

Hmmm...

get some fresh air, guys. lol

hahaha the hype is too much now.

i wonder though, whats the ratio between male/female smashGAF on here?

from what i've heard, many ladies actually play smash! i would imagine there's more of us guys on here though. juding by horizon and the one member (moonlight I think?) with the fem robin avatar are the only ones that I would imagine being part of female smashGAF here. lol

Hey Sakurai, it's me, GiantBreadbug. I'm glad I caught you here. Do you have a minute? Good, good. I wanna talk to you about something.

Now I know I'm just a simple Breadbug and you're the ruler of the free (Nintendo ) world, but I just wanted to ask you something real quick.

You know Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is launching in Japan in, like, less than a month right? Normally there wouldn't be any need for alarm, but here are still a lot of veterans to be revealed Mr. Sakurai.

Now, I know lots of people joke around and call you Mashpotato Samurai, but the reason I'm taking the time here to talk about veterans to you is that I'm afraid you'll end up being the samurai that mashes the potatoes of my hopes and dreams.

It's happened before, Mr. Sakurai. Remember Mewtwo? Yeah, he was a close friend. And now it's not looking too good for my buddies Ivysaur and Squirtle, and let's not even bring up Snake (I'm sure Mr. Kojima is going to want to talk to you about that later).

Now I'm not expecting you to just haul off and reveal he whole roster before launch. I get that you want people to have some surprises and you like a good tease. I mean just look at the way you've handled Ridley's status as a stage boss! But what I'm asking is that you just reveal the veterans for whom people hold doubt in their minds.

Ivysaur, Squirtle, Snake, Lucas, Ice Climbers

We're talking about good people/Pokemon here Mr. Sakurai. They need this job. And we need to know they have a secure future here at Smash Bros. LLC. So I beseech you, shed some light on the status of these fine characters so that, if they have been given the Freezie shoulder, we can mourn the loss ahead of the glory of the finished product.

Thanks for your time Mr. Sakurai. I really appreciate you lending me your ear for a bit. Best wishes, and thanks for everything you do!

*quiet sobbing as Sakurai walks away*

I don't think I've seen a more beautiful thing in this thread

We need to have an Agatha Christie who-dunnit to determine the true writer of the SmashGAF fanfiction. Who had the means? And more importantly, who had the motive?

some guy sitting in front of me at the smash event at e3 in LA (I was sitting near the front) yelled that out when sakurai came on stage.

i hadn't facepalmed that hard in a while...

In another worldline I am actually a girl so you're technically not wrong. This fanfic is more of a look at that alternate reality.

Unless of course we're all lying hahahaha

So, I brought this up a while back and got some interest from the people who were posting at the time, but would anyone here be interested in doing voice chat with online mode when the 3DS version comes out? We did for a little bit with Mario Kart 8 and it was really fun; we just used Skype, but there may be better alternatives. I'm hoping Smash U will have some form of voice chat, so hopefully we won't need a work around for that.

Maybe. Though I'm not sure I want to hear all of you laughing when I get demolished consistently :p

You're not allowed to hear my voice of the angels.

Along with my Wolverine impersonation.

I'm too shy to do voice chat. :P

That would be awesome if it will have a form of online voice chat. Though the only concern I'm seeing is how it will affect online gameplay (we still don't know how good Smash online is :p) as voice data will certainly eat some of that bandwidth, and how many can join voice chat (players only or will spectators have the ability to join?).

As for Skype alternative, when the game comes out I'll be sure to be open about that option too!

I might be able to depending on the meetup time.

Might be fun, though I've got a sailor's tongue when I'm losing at video games.

...which is often.

Hell yeah! Then I could blame it on the lag in real time.

This is the second time I've scrolled through this page and my brain has decided I accidentally misclicked in OT Community and got the Anime Thread instead.
