The amount of back peddling these people are trying to get away with is nuts. Why on earth would he assume cigars on a person are stolen? Unless he's racist of course... >.>

So here's what will happen with this case:

1) If only a single gun shot wound that could have happened from police car, no charges.

2) Multiple shots like witnesses say. Charged with 2nd degree murder. At the trial evidence of robbery will be used to show Brown as worried about arrest and struggled with police. Pics of cops's wounds will show he was hurt and could not think clearly at the time of the shooting. Jury will be from somewhere a ways from St. Louis. 8 white people, 4 minorities. Not guilty on 2nd degree murder, hung jury on manslaughter. DA refuses to refile. Officer is fired/quits police force.

Ferguson getting ready for the future Wilson trial. Getting their stories straight

''hey Wilson, you didn't know Brown was the cigar robbing guy, but say that you saw him with cigars with him....''

blalabla

There won't be a trial in Ferguson (assuming that any charges get filed in the first place). The cops lawyer will file for a change of venue, because we all know that black people can't be expected to be jurors on a case about racial profiling and make just decisions, and instead the case will be moved to the most conservative county in Missouri where after his acquittal Officer Brown will be treated to a ticker-tape parade and Autumn Cotillion.

I'm just basing this on every NYC police shooting case so far.

man Im sad I looked at the news in the subway I spend my lunches at, at work I seen it ... HOW THE FUCK IS THAT ROBBERY -___________________________________-
wtf... man... if it was confirmed him in no fucking way shape or from does anyone deserve to be murdered/executed for that....
I fucking hate this country... :/ I'm glad the cop left I hope he moves he is a murderer and will probably get away with it... :( :/ fuck him.... :(

How dare Gov Nixon put the officers' lives in danger

If there has been any doubt that this has essentially been a circus... well...

*Goldblumthereitisjpg*

CNN is reporting like Brown was the dude that robbed the store. If true, I'd say it's pretty much over.

It's quite the opposite; it's only just the beginning at this point. Because now the popular question everyone is going to have to face is "Even though someone robbed this store, does that give the police the authority to shoot him dead when he surrendered?"

Its simple fam. Cop saw a negro and knew he must have done something, so cop went to find out what crime he had committed.

The sad reality is that this reality will exist for a long period of time.

I am not happy on what happen to the young victim. I know I said this before but my prayers go to his family.

How dare Gov Nixon put the officers' lives in danger

Thats what the idiots at County are saying.

Look what CITY had to say

The militarized police response to protests in Ferguson has driven a rare wedge between two forces that often work closely together – the two largest police departments in the area: the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department and the St. Louis County Police.

St. Louis Police Chief Sam Dotson said in an interview this afternoon that he does not support the county police tactics in Ferguson, and has not sent officers to help them, aside from four officers to direct traffic.

He said he made the decision earlier this week, long before the confrontation between police and protesters on Wednesday night that saw the St. Louis County respond to protests with armored vehicles, tear gas and officers toting cannons and assault rifles.

“One side, the chiefly side of me, wants to always be there to support law enforcement in the city or in the county,” Dotson said. “My personal side was concerned about the things I saw transpiring in Ferguson.”

“My gut told me what I was seeing were not tactics that I would use in the city and I would never put officers in situations that I would not do myself,” he said.

Nuke the county police from orbit, it's the only way

Anybody else listen to that NPR interview today where the state senator was on? She was talking about how she was protesting with others and they ended up trapped down one way street and tear gassed. It was awful.

Nah, but if you have a link I'd love to listen to that.

So is this a new reason for the arrest of those reporters in the McDonald's? Did the officers stop them from committing a burglary?

First of all it's been confirmed it was him

Secondly, nothing is over.

Man, these past 2 years have made me cynical as fuck. It's pretty much over as far as I'm concerned.

Character assassination is now 100% successful. The 'thug' label can be handed to him and is it even 100% wrong at this point considering what he did? That cop isnt going to get shit for time and people will say that he deserved to be killed because he's a menace to society....even though the two incidents have nothing to do with each other.

Yooo. I literally was pulled, got the license and tags ran and let off with a warning… and the cop never said what he pulled me for in the first place.

Incredible picture. I also like this one someone made:

Now if only I could get wallpaper sized versions of these.[/QUOTE]

Hate to sidetrack but damn that's a dope picture. I want a wallpaper too.

Couple stories from Grantland today, Rembert Browne--went to St Louis, gives an eyewitness of cops "dispersing" a crowd--and Wesley Morris--taking more a critical lens through pop culture. Both good reads:

I think they found the guy and he said that it was riplets. I have no idea what those are though. Going to google.

Wow cool, thanks. Riplets the best, get some.

I'd love to see the "Hands up, don't shoot" thing be a nationwide protest. Like every time people walk by cops they put the hands up. I know it sounds stupid, but I think it'd be a great way to keep the event in the public consciousness.

I thought it was shoplifting earlier, now it's robbery? Hm

It was suspected shoplifting but now it is robbery, but don't worry, the officer only stopped him because he was walking in the middle of the street and didn't know about the robbery, oh wait, no, he knew there was a robbery nearby and when he saw cigars he knew they were stolen in the robbery he heard about.

oh lord...

Governor put "officers in danger" by removing St louis county from command. lol what a joke.

edit: beaten, at least we now know who was calling the shots before.

Fuck the bullshit, fraternity of secrets, police union. Of course they're going to side with the police even if there was video of an execution. Their opinion is not needed and only serves to fan the flames. It's like these assclowns want a fight.

I don't think he could bungle this anymore if he tried.

And that there is no crime that warrants summary execution in the street.

There is if you're a young black male.

I feel that there's a reason every news outlet is now focusing on how Brown robbed a store and not about how he was killed. There's no way there's going to be a positive outcome for this now. I see the cop getting/serving 1 year jail time/parole tops, probably less, while this dead kid's reputation will go down in the shitter, with him eventually be referred to as a no good thug who deserved to die before he caused greater trouble.

Unrelated or not, him actually being involved in the robbery is some of the worst news I could have woken up to. For blunt wraps, no less :/

Yeah but there's no way they can allow that as evidence if there ever is a case
Why not? The defense can provide the video as motive if they take the angle that the cop was attacked. The presented motive will be that Brown thought the cop was arresting him for robbery. How would the video not be allowed?

It's really sad how, even though it was completely unrelated, it won't matter in people's eyes.

Well if that happens, there is a 55.8% chance St. Louis burns down.

It has nothing to do with this case. It's an entirely separate issue. The cop did not know he was a suspect in any crime.
