LAUGHTREY
Modesty becomes a woman
We getting 2 episodes next week?
I do believe it's the rest of the episodes, I forget if its 2 or 3 though.

Well tbf if your given rare magical water with super healing capabilities your not going to use it at the first opportunity, you'll probably also won't mention it all the time (what purpose does that serve). There's no real issue with the logic. It was a special item used during a dire time. Sorta like what happens in real life,
Why is everybody spoiler tagging stuff? I thought the episode was fair game since it's already out?
Anyway, who's the Fire Lord right now? I thought it was Zuko.
his daughter is the fire lord

Should totally be called Fire Lady, imo. Even sounds better. You don't see the earth kingdom calling their queen the Earth King, do you?
Yeah, but how is she supposed to know what time is dire enough. You could have had it work in a number of different ways. For example, have it brought up when Iroh got injured. Or have an episode where she simply loses it or something. Or an episode where she has to choose to use it on a stranger, maybe just a little of it. There are a number of ways you can bring it up to keep it in mind that you have it, that will feel organic when THE situation that needs it above all comes.
But 99.9% of the people are based on people of Asian descent?I want the next avatar to be Black.
When someone is about to die otherwise... She's a healer and such an occurrence hadn't happened before. It's not at all surprising. Your trying to turn it into something it's not. She can heal perfectly fine without it. She doesn't need it to heal people, she needs it to save their lives. As a healer she can tell when someones about to die or normal water bending won't work.
Fire lady sounds like they don't know who she is, so they just call her fire lady.
But 99.9% of the people are based on people of Asian descent?
I always wonder what happy to Guru Pathik.
He is like the mostbrown-skinned Asian in that show (or the most explicitly Hindu-inspired).or only?
Hey, for everyone who thinks Tenzindied
I was just reminded of a rather important plot point. Spirits go to the spirit world, and the spirit world is connected to the human world.
So him dying is not as huge a problem as you think it is. Ming hua can cut him to shreds and Ghazan can crush his skull with rocks and melt his body in lava. Whatever gets them off.
And Tenzin can just walk out the next say at the north or south pole.
I really hopeTenzin isn't dead
I don't think it quite works like that.Maybe if you die by special circumstances like Zhao, or physically go there yourself like Iroh. But for most, if they die, they die.
It's confusing regardless.

We have no idea how it works, the show never went into it, but I don't understand why our spirits would go anywhere but the spirit world upon death.
Aang made it there anyhow, and his spirit is supposed to be within Korra, so I don't even know how that happened.
Also, if it does happen, I totally predicted in the season 2 thread that Korra effectively ended death.
bookmark this post. im never wrong.Tenzin will live.
Cool little factoid. This season finale is the 100th episode of the Avatar franchise.

I hope this gives them more freedom and money perhaps to do a full 20 episode season. Always felt that made the flow of each episode to episode little fast, esp how quickly season 1 ended. That is pretty cool. So far the season has been amazing, I just hope it keeps the quality going for the end.
I guess season 4 will not air on Nick but rather only be available through certain online channels as well? I wish they would just do a Netflix thing and release the whole season at once if that's the case.

That makes sense...as much as it can.I think we would see Aang and Sokka help out a bit more if they were spirits able to move freely between both worlds. Maybe not Aang since he was a past Avatar and the Avatar Spirit was severed, but at least Sokka.
The issue withTenzin dying is who is going to teach the Airbenders? I get Jinora is very capable, but she is still young and she still doesn't have the wisdom that does come with age. It'll just seem a bit weird if she takes her father's place.
Btw, when it comes to Combustion Woman in this episode:When she is alone in the airship using her powers against the air nomads, who is driving?! She certainly isn't, she is hanging out the door concentrating on the people below.
Ending death certainly didn't save the Earth Queen
Doesn't work like that. If Tezin original body is destroyed he can't just created a new one at the spirit world and come out just fine and dandy.
Only the Avatar can cheat death, unless they get killed during the Avatar state.
you are this time
just ask yourself, in that situation, given the players involved, why in the world wouldn'tZaheer and co. kill Tenzin? They killed the Earth queen, Combustion Lady thinks she killed Kai, Bumi, and Kya, the arm tentacle lady tried to kill Kya by fashioning big ice blades. Let's not forget, too, that Tenzin had just specifically told them that he'd never stop fighting while he was breathing.
I mean why on earth wouldn't they do it? Seriously?
Well considering how Jinora kept telling us how awesome she is at airbending and other crap she will totally take over her father.
Korra isn't black?I want the next avatar to be Black.

I find it funny that people think we are getting another Avatar after Korra when Nick clearly has done nothing but try and kill the show.
Or, you know they reincarnate, as they would in just about every religion that this show bases itself on. Iroh was in the spirit world as he died, when that happens you are pretty much there forever. Iroh is essentially a pseudo Bodhisattva, he reached enlightenment, but stayed behind to help others (sort of, hence the pseudo). The spirit world isn't the afterlife, it at most is an afterlife in very specific circumstances.
becausethen Korra won't play along with their game for sure. zaheer is dumb but he aint that dumb.
wtf, I'm listening to the commentary of beginnings part 1 and they had the origin story planned out during book 2 earth of avatar
it would have made so much more sense to have that story in book 3 fire instead of book 2 spirits, would have solved a lot of issues people have with lion turtle out of nowhere, and hell man, Wan was a firebender avatar. Would show how great good could come from a firebender
I want the next avatar to be Black.
