I read he had one from the comments section in a Yahoo article. :-/

Man I wish I had cable. It's always interesting to see how the narrative ebbs & flows from channel to channel once more info comes out. Anyone been watching Fox News? They must have been all over the robbery vid and gang sign pics.

Don't read the comments on anything from the internet.

I was playing God of War 3 and thinking about how my young boys are going to grow up past this bullshit.

Speaking of bullshit, not a good time to test my patience, ShortBus.

I read that in Sam Jackson's voice.

What's been the general reaction so far to the revelations that Brown robbed that store, has a lot of photos throwing gang signs, has photos with guns and lots of cash, and has a rap sheet? Obviously, he didn't deserve to die but has the sentiment changed at all in the mainstream media? I actually don't have cable so I can't watch CNN, Fox News, or MSNBC. :(

I imagine that like %75 of American's have photos of them holding money and guns while making poses with their hands so that's hardly damnable evidence toward anyone.

Of course. They're paid trolls. It's best not to pay them any mind.

wow Vice live streaming from the scene on youtube... i hope they make more of a habit of doing this. pretty awesome to get a direct on the scene report

That kind of trolling I don't mind, that's just harmless trolling. Inappropriate as all hell, but harmless. It's not like the people spamming comments about how Micheal Brown was a thug or spamming racial slurs.

It's not harmless. They're spamming, but that sentiment is grounded somewhere.

He's doing a really good job too. Not jumping to conclusions or leading the protesters when he interviews them. I approve.

Also, BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP

Agreed. One of the worst online experiences I've had in that regard in a while.

He was pretty amazing throughout. He's a camera guy, he doesn't necessarily have to be an objective journalist, but he did a fantastic job.

Thanks, followed Tim on livestream/instagram/twitter. We need more journalists like this guy. This is what we should expect from one in 2014 and not enough are upping their game.

This is an idiotic tweet. With such protests going on there is a higher chance that someone will try to harm the officer. For his safety and to preserve general order it behooves everyone to move him to an undisclosed location outside the general area. Do you really want this tragedy to escalate to two murders or do you want actual justice to occur?

Just because you're an LEO you don't get automatic immunity from prosecution.

It's ridiculous. It makes it sound like they're helping him escape capture or something. If he was to be brought up on charges or any other discipline they would be obliged to bring him back.

I don't think it would benefit anyone for him to be in the middle of this right now.

Just because you're an LEO you don't get automatic immunity from prosecution.

He hasn't been charged with anything yet. He's not on the run or in hiding from being brought to prosecution.

I wouldn't take that tweet literally.

Honestly I would be worried about his family more than the cop. I am glad they have been moved, but I bet the authorities (even FBI) know exactly where was moved to.

...what does moving a person out of potential harms way have to do with immunity to prosecution?

Of course. Its another reason why the tweet was grounded in ignorance.

actually justice would be to prosecute the cop not aid and abet him by organizing his escape.

It would not shock me if the federal authorities were involved in his "escape." His family could be sitting in a hotel paid by the government in SW stl in all likelihood. Or at a relatives. They aren't at a cash motel in Montana trying to stay off the grid.

...I don't.. What? There is confirmation they loaded him and his family onto a plane bound to France or another country with no extradition treaty? What is going on with the conspiracy theories?

Secondly, you do realize this case won't start for months if not a year right?

He should be there to answer for his crime is the fucking point.

I'm sure the FBI knows exactly where he is and has agents sitting right outside of wherever he is. If he's charged he'll be arrested, arraigned and go to trial.

I've liked a lot of what you've posted here, but these reposes from you are surprisingly obtuse.

There's no conspiracy theories in my post. Dude fucking fleed the scene his buddies in the department assisted. The tweet in question raised an interested point and is far from idiotic.

Vice is legit, bookmarked.

Vice is fantastic on this stuff. Great local coverage and they do superb overseas. Ukraine Coverage etc is top notch. Their lead Ukraine guy was even taken prisoner and beaten by the Russian side and still went back out after being freed

For as amazing as the journalism is, as great as the HBO show has been, their website has always been designed terribly. So unwieldy.

We don't actually know that. I wouldn't be surprised if he left town before the FBI became involved. When he is charged him being tucked away by the police could become an issue of foul play. No one is being idiotic or obtuse in raising that concern. Do I expect them to be charged? Nope. Was moving the guy out of town a good move taking his safety into consideration? Yeah. Was it illegal if he's charge? Possibly.
