Why are those people looting businesses and setting buildings on fire? I do agree the cop killing the kid should get punished in some way, but protesters doing those things isn't helping matters not to mention breaking the law.
Stream's here:

After a good while of uneventful partying and chilling, the local(?) PD showed up and made things miserable for everybody. Started with a single tear gas round that (allegedly) came from a police vehicle which then sped away. Soon after, the riot police showed up, all geared up for the apocalypse. They formed a line and demanded that everyone disperse or there would be arrests "and/or other actions" taken.
People didn't take to this so well, and they started getting angry and loud. That's where the stream picks up.
There were (allegedly) some out-of-towners there who had it in mind to start a ruckus so they could get to looting, and they seized this opportunity to do so. The looting happened for a pretty tense 5-10 minutes, followed shortly by protesters lining up to block the entrance to the storefronts in order to protect the businesses from the looters. There's some interviews with them in the stream.
Things wound down after that, AFAIK.

ok so the looters aren't the protesters
the video of the robbery hasn't changed my opinion much. He shouldn't have been killed, and the event is completely unrelated to his shooting. The police are just trying to justify it..smh
Conference is starting now
There's already been stories on how Darren Wilson has a history of intimidation and excessive force coming out. If you or anyone else really wishes to have Michael Brown's history be on trial, the same thing is going to happen with Wilson's history.
Guys his name is devilsadvocat.
Its funny how much noise there is to muddy the message.
People are consistently talking about a) Mike Brown being a thug and b) the protestors are horrible animals who loot.
I feel as if most Americans are only going to hone in on those two and completely disregard that a man was executed while he was trying to surrender.
edit: wow a curfew.
Gov. of MissouriWho is this talking?
I don't think I like the verbage being used here.
"I'll let you yell at me next."
Did he really say "Before we have justice, we must have peace"?
Towing that line for another couple of decades!
Conference is a mess
I hate that the Gov referred to this as a test. What are the ramifications of failing this "test"?
No peace No Justice? Wtf is he talking about?
Nixon has been pretty solid until this conference. The fuck is he doing?

In the middle of the night, the police deployed tear gas and everything went to shit.Man what the hell happened? Last I was following this thing closely the Highway Patrol took over and everything was hunky dory. When did places start getting burned down?

I disagree, he was silent for days, this is another smudge on his record asfar as I'm concerned.
For me the problem is that Brown's history shouldn't be on trial at all, because it doesn't matter who he was or what he did. He was unarmed and surrendering at the time. He didn't pull a trigger. He didn't shoot a man repeatedly to and after death.
This isn't the Old West. You can't just fill a guy with lead and walk off into the setting sun. Wilson's history is what matters here. He's the one who shot a man to death and then kept on firing. But the longer this nonsense goes on, the more I feel like we're never going to get the answers the people deserve.
I feel like people who even consider what Brown did earlier that day relevant aren't being nearly empathetic enough. What if that was your son, laying there in that street hours after he'd been murdered in broad daylight? Would you still think that something as unrelated as a minor crime which the murderer had no knowledge of justified this then?
Shit, would any of you like it to go down like this for yourself? To die and have the world bring out every tiny thing you did wrong in an underhanded attempt to persuade others into thinking you deserved to die?
Christ, he wasn't even a grown man yet.
I hope that's all there is to this.
