Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| We Need To Go Cheaper

A little unrelated, but since we were on a similar discussion...
Could anyone explain what are the possible regions of PSN DLC/game codes?

In my specific case, I want to buy an Australian copy of the MGS Legacy collection.
It comes with a voucher for MGS1. Should it work on a European PSN account?
I know I can open an Australian one (or are they the same region?), I want to redeem it on my main account.
Also, are PSN gift cards country specific, or are they region specific?

Game codes should work in the same region (australia is PAL as rest of europe), but I'm not sure that's the case for money/PS+ cards (hence the country flag on those cards). I could be wrong though, but I assume you shouldn't use a gift card with a different currency than your account country (UK's £ in a german account using € for example).

Thanks for the info! That's what I was hoping for.

Can't believe Ocarina of Time 3D is so expensive, even used, and even on ebay.

Is there nowhere I can pick this thing up for a decent price?

Welcome to the curse of ninty franchises they hardly ever go down in price >< I lucked out on ebay and managed to get OOT 3D for 20 a few weeks back though. not a bad price i thought

Ha, I wonder if that was mine, it went a bit lower than I'd expected but since I only paid £9 new I wasn't really in a position to moan about it.

Is that right, is the expansions confirmed to be that price?

Just checked to make sure I wasn't wrong and yep:

Eurogamer said:
The Destiny Expansion Pass costs £34.99 when bought separately. Both expansions will be priced individually at £19.99 when they launch.

They're 35 and 20 dollars respectively in the US. To be honest I'm surprised there hasn't been more uproar about this nonsense pricing, maybe there will be when it actually releases.

From a quick search on Find Game the best I see is £31.85 at Shoptoo.
My point exactly.

Indeed, but really would have expected the opposite with an old N64 remake. Saying that, though, perhaps I shouldn't. I think SM64DS remained pricey after many years, too.

Think I blew my chance passing on a £12-15 pre-owned copy in GAME a couple of years back. Never knew it would become so hard to find cheap in future.

Think I'll continue to scour ebay.

Yeah sure they don't.

No they really don't, publishers set the pricing. SCE published titles are 60 euro, 3rd parties usually ask for 70 euro. TLOUR is 45 euro while Watch Dogs, UFC and Diablo 3 UE are 70 in the PS Store right now. Your problem if you don't believe it.

I went through the same search months ago. I ended up getting it used on eBay for £25 + postage, and that was after losing at least 5 auctions where people were paying £28 and up (even though it's £32 new). You're not likely to get it much cheaper. I waited and waited, but in the end I just paid the asking price.

€35 in HMV in Ireland if that is of any use, not even showing up on their site though. That's the cheapest I've seen.

Is there a reason we can't search/buy online on the UK HMV site? Or am I just blind or something?

Anyway, I'm hoping one of my online mates is gonna sell me his copy. I asked at this forum I go to if anyone could keep an eye out for a cheap copy and turns out he's trying to sell his copy to a workmate, so if he says no, I'm in luck and will buy for £20.

Fingers crossed.

If you don't mind eShop versions it might be worth seeing what the Super Smash Bros veterans sale brings. It has gone to 50% off in the past.

But it is an odd one as the price seemed to be dropping for a while and even some £5 wild goose chases, then BAM full price.

HMV had serious money issues at one point, they shut the Site down so many stores closed, and they are only sorta getting back in there.

As of right now the Online "Store" is more of a fancy blog and nothing more.

I think the store also was a separate company, in that it was run from like Jersey to take advantage of tax stuff, so never was linked up to the store system.

Same situation. In the end I got it for 25€ used at least in a condition like new. Nintendo doesn't drop the prices even when reprinting a game it seems.

i have one of the "5€-off" codes left, that were handed out at gamescom for MGS 5.

i dont need it, so if someone of you wants to order it at amazon.de, pm me.

valid until monday, 12pm, CET

In addition to what was said above, I think the reason they have an online store here in Ireland is because the owner of the Irish brand of HMV also owns Xtravision (another entertainment store) and they've merged the two in most stores and you can buy some stuff online from Xtravision, mind you both stores barely have any stock of Nintendo games (which royally sucks, especially when I read of some of the great deals people find in the UK HMV stores).

From Hot UK Deals, just ordered this for PS4...

METRO REDUX (PS4 / XB1) @ shop4world - £23.88

Use code SHOP4LFCC for £5.00 off. Delivery is charged... but still the cheapest online to my knowledge. Credit to Lucifon for the code, I noticed he mentioned it in a separate thread. (and Karla1980 who originally posted) Never ordered from these myself but seem good reviews and the same company as 365games who I personally rate quite highly!

Are they reliable? Haven't heard of them before.

Haven't used them before, so we'll see...

I ordered 3 vita games from them on Friday, paid the extra bit for 1st class postage, arrived on Saturday all brand new and sealed etc. Decent service! Can't speak for preorders though but I'm pretty sure as someone already mentioned that they're part of 365Games, so I imagine they're pretty similar for preorders.
