Ferguson: Police Kill 18yo Black Male; Fire Gas/Rubber Bullets Into Protesting Crowds

So I've added a bunch of Twitter users to my feed who are there in #Ferguson and following what's going on and found this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=maA1FUJqhew&feature=youtu.be

It's a video that shows Michael Brown actually paying, not robbing the store. The word from these Twitter users are that the videos previously shown were edited together to make it look bad. This has not been reported by any news outlets, just Twitter users in Ferguson, so far, to make that clear.
Well fuck, this changes things

I don't understand why he would keep coming toward the officer though if he's being shot at. That makes no sense.

It's almost like he was in shock after having rounds pumped through his body and knowing that his life was probably ending right there, right?

The video is so grainy I didn't see him do anything one way or the other.

Why does the cashier come out?

Well he still had the confrontation with the shop owner so we have to know what that was about. Maybe he didn't pay enough. Clearly something happened that the guy ran after them. Has the shop owner said what happened?

I went to bed shortly after the police dispersed the first crowd. The news group reported them raising a building and noises in the distance.

Did anything significant happen afterwards? What about those shots that were fired?

The shop owner never even called the police about it.

Possibly, I was thinking that, he may of thought by coming toward the cop with his hands up the cop would stop shooting him. I don't know the whole thing sounds strange.

He still clearly reaches over the counter to snag that box of Cigars after he paid for something else. Then of course there's the pushing around of the little shop owner that isn't shown in that clip.

The witness said he thoughts the shots were missing because Brown kept moving forward. I imagine he thought if Brown was being hit buy bullets, Brown would have stopped moving forward, fell down, or something to that affect.

The witness in the video never mentions hands up or walking, but I didn't mentioning running because when the witness was speaking about that it was vague. The witness said running but it was hard to determine exactly what he meant in the context of the conversation plus other noised and conversation.

Watch the video and hear it for yourself so you don't have to take a second hand account of what was said.

Even after listening to the audio, that is the strangest thing about this. The witness does talk about the officer having his gun trained on Brown and Brown still approaching. He does mention that he thought the cop was missing then, but as you mentioned, shots were fired and the witness still thought they were missing because he still kept coming towards him.

Possible account, but if it is determined that he really was shot in the back, that would blow apart that entire version of the events.

The bigger problem, again, is that this narrative is the path of least resistance for an officer in a situation like this. "He was charging for me, I had to shoot" is literally an open and shut case. I find it very, very hard to believe that Ferguson PD could be so incompetent that this wouldn't have been their first depiction of the events.

Edit: Oh man, regardless on whether or not he had ID, if he at least left the money for it, that may change things on whether or not this was robbery in connection with the cigs or assault, especially depending on what the store owner actually asked him about (if he asked him about taking the cigs or requiring ID, that is one thing; if he asked him about something else entirely, then from a technical standpoint, he did not forcibly steal the item).

Twittersphere saying he had no ID. Plus, I think Johnson might be underage so that might explain why they didn't call police and why their lawyer had no comment when asked if it was a robbery. Shit wasn't worth the trouble.

But yeah, I've been wondering what happened to that whole box of cigs.

There is no narrative because they aren't telling one anything about it.

It's OK though because there are plenty of "concerned citizens" out there creating a narrative for them.

One question I have though is when was the police report for the shoplifting written? When Zoe posted it earlier in the thread it already had Brown and his friends names in the report. How was it possible that they knew that information unless the report was written after the shooting?
wait, is this the same officer that shot brown?
Yes, he never called anyone to report the shooting until an hour later and a huge crowd had already formed.

This is the key piece. If he "kept coming toward him" it contradicts the "he was on the ground with his hands in the air" narrative.

Can you really question that though when there are 4 eye witness to the event, and one of them was even a guy live tweeting out...

Looks like he reaches over and grabs stuff, then drops it on the floor.

The shop keeper comes out after he's picked it up and tried to walk out.

The female witness who placed the 911 call said he tried to slip one of the boxes to his friend without paying for that one box. The clerk called him out on it, and that's when he grabbed everything, pushed away the clerk who was trying to stop him, and left without paying.

His friend places the one he gave him back, but if you watch he grabbed more and dropped some on the floor.

He then picks them up and tries to walk out.

I never really followed the Trayvon aftermath closely, but following this situation for like a week now...it's really been eye-opening, disturbing, and sad.

Seeing how they're trying so hard to change the narrative, paint Brown one way to validate what happened, and twist public opinion, it's just sick.

Imagine if they had released that above video first?

Trayvon was even worse because everyone was harping on him getting suspended and smoking some weed.

According to Dorians lawyer (Mikes friend that was with him throughout), Dorian returned the cigs to the counter after being passed to him (which is clearly seen in the video). He said "I don't steal". This shows that Mike was involved in a robbery.

They also reported the jewelry and burglary tools in his backpack that was part of his suspension.

Zimmerman did say the kid was walking close to homes.

Again, these were things reported from the case.

What is a "burglary tool"?

So glad I don't watch media in this country anymore.

Which is why I have a hard time believing the "Brown was charging the officer while being shot" story, because if that was the case, they would be screaming it off the mountain tops.

Maybe they are waiting until the full investigation is complete. Or they could do like the internet and guess based on pieced together 'facts'.

But can't you say it's happening on the opposite side too. Painting him as a modern day Fat Albert, when he might have been more like a... Was there an evil Fat Albert, or any type of fat bully in a African-American cartoon? Maybe on Wayne Head?

I'm not even sure why this whole situation about whether or not Mike Brown stole anything is even being debated. it just feeds the idea that if he did steal something then it justified him being killed.

I don't get it. Didn't Brown's friend admit that they stole something from that convenience store?

EDIT: Either way, the alleged robbery has nothing to do with the case. Why do people keep bringing it up?

Trying to setup the possibility that he would be the type of person that would try to wrestle the gun from a cop.

Shoplifter to possible cop killer? This really gives me a lot of insight into how hopeless this situation is. There's like no chance of this family seeing justice in this case.
