I love how there was so fantastic storytelling with Ambrose telling Rollins "I still love you, brother" and then using the curb stomp on him and the commentary was too fucking stupid to do anything with it or help convey that to the viewer.

Fucking morons. Why are you people still employed?

Also, Jericho's new jacket looks like turds. Cheap and rushed.

Oh man, I didn't even know he said that, so distracted with their fucking chatter. Now I have to rewatch it.

Pretty sure that was the referee checking to see if Cena wanted to quit (in character) or was hurt from the 17 german suplexes he took on his surgically repaired neck (out of character).

Good to know the IWC "We must blame and hate Cena for all things, even if it means ignoring basic facts" force is out and about in GAF.

Opinions man, how do they work? So because I think its cheesy when the referee stops himself from calling the match, with the camera zooming in on his pained face while the commentary team talks about how its useless asking John to tap out, that makes me a Cena hater?

steve austin should return and open up a can of whoop ass on brock lesnar because austin 3:16 says I just whooped your ass and that's the bottom line cause stone cold said so

I will only accept a match that isn't Bryan vs Brock at WM31 if Brock uses THE BROCK LOCK and then after the person taps, he turns it into an F5.

Ambrose also teared up after delivering the curb stomp. Ambrose is damn good.

I actually think I'd find it more interesting if he was too scared of Brock, refused to cash in, and let the contract run out.
That isn't interesting, it's what's actually GOING TO HAPPEN. Him cashing in at this point would be a complete waste of his time. It was funny even thinking he had a chance against Cena. But after the performance he put on tonight of being the best damn mop a floor could ever meet, his chances of winning against Brooooooooock Lesssssssssnarrrrrrr are even more miniscule.

He might as well burn the papers in the briefcase in the center of the ring on RAW, and do his best Jimi Hendrix impersonation while he's at it.

EDIT: Honestly, Lesnar should just retire on RAW, taunt all of the Cena fans, then leave the WWE with the "last laugh" win over Cena. I honestly don't want to see him face Cena again, or anybody else, for that matter. His complete global saturation (of sweat) over John Cena at SS was so gratifying, that seeing him do less against anybody else would only tarnish his victory. Seriously, go out on the greatest high note there ever was, Brock. Let the up and comers shine now that they don't have to be afraid of Cena anymore.

Exactly my point!

The expression on Ambrose's face was that of a man who was hurt on a deep emotional level to do that to someone he still genuinely cared about and viewed as family. It's easy enough to pick up on, but THESE ARE THE MOMENTS the commentary team should be getting over. These are the things you want people to remember and want to relive on your fucking $9.99 network. Nah, better tell the viewer about how LUMBERJACK MATCH is trending worldwide. Because that's exactly what you should do. Get the viewer to focus away from the product you're trying to sell.

Yup.

When wrestling & the men and women involved are on top of their game, I think it's the best entertainment you can get. But holy fuck does WWE drop the ball so hard on getting that over 90% of the time.

The STAPLES Center crowd in Los Angeles, California, offered no sympathy to John Cena after losing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship to Brock Lesnar in a one-sided affair at SummerSlam Sunday night.
As the 15-time world champion was being assisted to the backstage area by WWE personnel, the L.A. crowd serenaded him with "Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye," amidst a chorus of boos. There were also chants of "Thank you Lesnar" as Cena stumbled up the ramp.

Every movie The Rock was in last year was heavily promoted on WWE programs. That's why he goes back these days, to promote his motion pictures which do well because of this promotion and because he attaches himself to established franchises or is co-staring with someone of a name as well. Thankfully, the WWE also sees some benefit from this.

After Hercules, The Rock's credibility as a real draw is suspect. Depending on his 2015 output, he will probably be back.

Complete bs. All of those movies would have done good without him in wwe.

Another lol.

Was thinking... maybe they could feed RVD to Lesnar at the next PPV.

Former Heyman guy, former World Champ...

Like I honestly have no clue what they do for Night of Champions

Lesnar just comes out at the start of the show and it will be an open challenge...but only for people who Brock hasnt beaten yet...

Lesnar vs Reigns might be worse programming than Sheamus vs Del Rio or Batista vs Orton. One of the two might be a big draw but for all the sports entertainment talk there isn't many people left to talk around, is there? Bryan wasn't exactly a mouthpiece, either.

There is only 1 former Paul Heyman guy they should match up with Lesnar.

And no I don't mean Cesaro.

Yea Dwayne is bigger than the WWE now.

Shit, right now my windows phone after i typed "Dwayne" gave me the option to place "Johnson" right after.

Dudes a bonafide star, and WWE is just a well paying hobby for him.

That's how you know he is legit. How much money did he make last year? I swear he was everywhere

The most well sourced numbers I could find say he is worth north of 130M dollars. That's more than triple the next richest wrestler ever (Stone Cold, who has a bunch of reality projects and the best residual merch deal WWE ever handed out).

He was the highest grossing actor in the world last year. He's got Fast 7 coming, and when that franchise ends, he's likely going to be part of the DC film universe. Even Hercules, for all the "bomb" talk, is going to wind up doubling it's production budget in WW gross.

He'll be back, though, because he wants to do something.

I still don't know based on what WWE thinks Reigns is the to-go character.

By the time Rock won the first WWF title at SS98 he had already cut two dozens memorable promos while he was in the midcard. Austin was more memorable before the title win than after. Hogan could cut promos, Cena was also able to.

Orton himself was decent entertainment though he was pushed as a 3rd gen superstar.

Reigns falls right in between, where do they find this long-term lasting appeal? He doesn't look anywhere near as believable as Goldberg, he doesn't have the entertaining workrate of Rock, near to no mic skills.

Let alone the fact, babyface champions nowadays seriously risk immediate burnout (maybe that is the reason they're keeping Bryan away)-

He may be not as pleasant to the fangirls as Reigns, but a tweener (?) champion like Ambrose could work just right.

I thought he was one of the highest grossing actors but I wasn't too sure. He has been working hard with all the movies

I don't follow wrestling and have no followed it for years (decade+?), but I really want to see Cena get destroyed for some reason.

I found a "way" to watch all the 1998 and newer RAW episodes since the WWE Network I subscribed to wasn't willing. And I have to say that my friends and I aren't able to watch today's product since. We'd rather watch a 1998 RAW episode than current PPV matches. The unpredictability. The pandemonium. The constant "distract the official so we can fuck this guy up". Everyone saved face because every match involved shenanigans. Today's product is too full of predictable outcomes and predictable "distractions" that involve someone's music or words causing one of those "surprise 3 count" finishes. Then the PPV is always "2 equal opponents going at it for good old fashioned "wrasslin' " while the entertainment factor that existed 16 years ago is completely gone.

The mic skills of people like Stone Cold or Shawn Michaels or The Rock or Vince McMahon or Triple H and the brilliant commentary by JR are replaced by mediocrity while the writing was equally replaced by the same.

It's like WWE has its own "BC". Before Cena and After Cena.

I want crowd and wrestling that's it. Commentary is shit.

I agree, I'm tired of:

-Cole giggling
-Lawler's fake gut laugh
-Cole saying he talked to somebody in the back and they said "Listen"
-Not focusing on the match (I missed that awesome Ambrose thing because of them)
-Using "serious voice" at the worst time
-TWERKIN MAGGLE

And all their other repetitive phrases.

The one thing I would say I'm sick of hearing most would be the "something something WWE NETWORK"

I wanna see Lesnar/Orton, but for that to happen, Orton would have to turn face first. It's not difficult to turn him either. I know those two could put on an excellent match.

Surprisingly I'm okay with this idea. Randy is one of those guys who rises to the occasion a lot. Give him a quality opponent and he can pull incredible spots no one even thinks about.

I want him to keep destroying people until we can get an epic David v Goliath showdown with him and D Bry at Mania.

Someone should actually stop JBL and tell him right in the face a pro-heel color commentator must sound like a joke, like a biased goof you don't take seriously. He comes out as obnoxious period.

He's there to broadcast Vince's lines. I'd rather hear Booker T out there. Be a heel if it matters so much.

Aside from it being the Undertakers old thing, and he and Leshnar not getting along, is there anything adding to the hilarity? The fact that he was crushing Cena whilst doing it?
