I think this is more a case of you not liking a promo than the crowd "turning" on him because of it. You're trying to argue the audience doesn't REALLY have an investment in Bryan...because you don't like some face promo he did. Come on.

They're invested as much as they are with Ziggler or the Usos or any other midcard star who isn't really exceptional or especially charismatic, sure.

the Mania main event was what it was simply by virtue of them loving Bryan so much and rejecting the idea of him not being in there, pretty sure they're invested in him

When have they hijacked an entire Royal Rumble because Ziggler or Jey Uso wasn't in it? You're just denying basic observations now.

And what did he do with it? Nothing really. He was injured and his cup of coffee as the guy was boring and unremarkable. He had a feud with Kane where he showed all the passion and charisma of a chair.

Daniel Bryan is ok, he's just not the guy, sorry. B Plus.

He's just fine as the underdog guy chasing the belt.

to be honest, it's hard not to be when you're shoved into a feud with the terminally boring kane.

anger issues bryan should come back, with this look.

...main evented Wrestlemania? You seem determined to hate this guy.

I think you're saying Daniel Bryan's rise is a legitimate long-term sustainable thing while he's saying Bryan's post-WM awkwardness shows he was just a flash in the pan. He was a perfect alternative choice in response to our collective boredom with Cena, Orton, and Batista.

Damn, who else was there?

Also, 2015 at the Metlife? Interesting.

They were all there to support Lana. They have been good friends since the filming of Pitch Perfect.

I'd argue that's the most bizarre and wrong correlation possible. They don't measure "success" by "internet user's opinion of a promo". Bryan moved ratings and merch, that made him viable as a top guy.

Cena sells merch despite a large part of the audience having pretty strong negative feelings about him. We get what WWE likes. We're talking people. There was definitely a shift in feelings once Bryan won the big one, and it's not entirely on Kane or that feud. Bryan exposed himself.

There was no "shift". Some people on the internet do their "he's popular now, I don't like him" thing as always, same thing they do every time a guy actually makes it.

You're basically acting like he was suddenly booed by crowds. I have never heard any crowd boo him since he was a heel in 2012.

Once again, every single top face in WWE sucks because they give them the same template shit character. Acting like Bryan is the only one to get that is silly.

This is all screaming "I don't like him, so no one does". Last page that guy was claiming Bryan wasn't "really" over and had no connection to the crowd.
