CNN just stated national guard on the way
That phrase has some bad historical connotations.
Why do some people think that eyewitness testimonies are magically are either fully right or fully wrong? That is a false dichotomy. The detail of Johnson saying Brown was hit in the back does not disprove the whole testimony. When something like this is taking place, you are not going to have a photographic memory of the situation. As other people have pointed out, the witnesses could have thought Brown was hit when he was shot at and started to kneel.
Witnesses can (and will) get details wrong but be mostly right about what happened.
It's really not. Military being in control, over civilians is not ideal.

How are military imposters any better? It's really not. Military being in control, over civilians is not ideal.
Here's the order. For the National Guard to come in.

People here thing his is great. Being ex army (infantry at that ) I see this as a very bad thing. If you think NG/military is going to tolerate even remotely what's going on right now as far as protests/looting/curfew violations you're mistaken.
I really hope they prove me wrong.
What the hell with the police? I mistaken them for military with their armor and vehicles. I thought that Marshall law has been declared or something.
He sounds full of shit too. They keep putting the blame on unnamed individuals looking to overthrow the police command center with organized plans and improvised weapons such as Molotov's. When in actuality, it's concerned residents who hope another white officer doesn't get away with murder.

Yeah the National Guard coming in could make things worse. Really worse. I doubt they have much training in acting as a police force.
the main problem it seems that people prefeer them over the police.
I don't think the national guard will be any better at reaching out to the community, but maybe they won't be as quick to provoke or overreact. I hope the St. Louis, not the Ferguson, PD continue to work with the community and communicate thru this.
P
What you're seeing as military imposters, I still see as police trying to control a situation. Military is a whole other beast.
Their use is going to be to squash unrest and enforce curfew.
The only thing I know for sure is a police officer shot and killed a kid.
I'm confused. If the store owner didn't call the police, how did the police come into possession of the video and a police report filed? Did I miss something here?
Let's see after tomorrow.

The National Guard won't be provoking the people intentionally. That's the difference. We had one good night when they got the highway patrol in there, and it all went to shit when the local PD came back. I have to hope/assume that calling in the guard means that they're forcibly shitcanning the locals.
They'd be tasked as another form or SWAT or will they likely be deployed in a similar fashion as when units were deployed to LA after Rodney King?

I believe the police actually requested the video themselves. A police report was filed later as Darren Wilson didn't actually file a police report himself.
Everything is fucked up.
They might also be hopeful that a lot of the anger directed at the police is diffused just by not having the police there, giving things a chance to settle down and move towards some sort of normalcy.
Seriously, what fuckin' news story have you been following?
There is literally no way I can see anyone justifying the force the police in Ferguson have been using.
That's where I'm getting hazy though. If the store didn't call the police, how were the police made aware of the shoplifting/robbery to begin with (or even made aware of the video)?
Maybe Browns friend told them sbout what happened when he was questioned? That's where I'm getting hazy though. If the store didn't call the police, how were the police made aware of the shoplifting/robbery to begin with (or even made aware of the video)?
Police force is a large and loyal gang.Is there a reason this has went this far for one guy? I mean police dodging everything, fucking with media, using tactical gear for protest. Like they even have a threshold at times and normally would have thrown in the toll for one average ass offcer with only 6 years under his belt.
What im saying is...im wondering is this one police officer tied to anything or anyone important.

customer called.
The people getting injured by gunfire and the businesses being vandalized and looted would prove otherwise.
Yes, I know most aren't doing it, but the few ruin it for everyone. Which is why they are trying to control the situation. The bad apples are hiding with everyone else.
