Super Smash Bros. for 3DS & Wii U Thread 12: Gwah, hah. Welcome to the Bowser's game.

It's true that we didn't hear much about the music, or hear much music from the game, period.

I wonder who they got on board this time to do some arrangements. (I hope Sakuraba did more Kirby arrangements.)

I think all the Uprising composers will return at least. Just want to hear anything from Iwadare.

Working on my part 3 of my Comic Con impressions, and FINAL pre-launch impressions of Smash 4 =(

Work has been busy the last couple of weeks. Now that it's slow, I can get back to writing this thing ^_^

man between the E3 and Comic Con writeups, I've forgotten how many sections you've written up by now

I might just have bad memory, but has the name "Nightmare Wizard" ever actually been used for the character prior to this? Like, I know it's Nightmare, and this is his wizard form as opposed to his orb form, but... he's still Nightmare. And the Japanese PotD just refers to his as "Nightmare" too.

My first thought was that maybe Nightmare from Metroid Fusion would show up and they wanted to designate the difference between the two with different names, but upon further research, Metroid's Nightmare has the same name (including spelling) as Kirby's Nightmare in both languages, so I don't see why they would change it in one version but not the other.

In conclusion, I'm probably reading too much into a weird translation thing.

Edited: Sorry about double posts

Haven't we seen way more 3DS stages than Wii U stages? Yes, I understand that the 3DS version comes out first, but I feel like Wii U users have been given the short end of the stick...

They really need something to keep people checking for daily updates after 3DS got released so having full focus on Wii U after 3DS release date would be great idea.

You know, I have to say... I didn't really care about the Tomodachi Life stage before, but I recently got it for free as part of a sale, and I've become HOPELESSLY addicted to it. It's just packed full of charm and really weird-ass humor, and the fact that it can star your friends/family/loved ones/Nintendo execs just makes it that much better. I mean, Sakurai just hooked up with a long-time buddy of mine!

Now I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of quirky stuff they can bring over from the game into the Smash stage. Should be a lot of fun!

Tomodachi Life has one of the worst demos I've ever seen. There's a grand total of about 10 minutes of content.

As for the stage, I'm wondering if there are going to be any stage hazards or gimmicks on it at all. From what we've seen, all the activity in the stage - the stuff the Miis are doing - seems to be going on in the background. It's possible that it will all be for show and have no effect on the fighting.

All set for amiibos sold some things on eBay. Got over 300 bucks ready for that plastic crack.

Man, Nintendo's toy division will never go out of business as long as you're around lol

Yeah, I can agree with you there; it's not a very good demo. Doesn't give you a real feel for the game at all.

The full package is really fun and charming, though, as long as you're down with the kind of game it is. It's very mobile-esque in that it's a play-it-for-five-minutes-while-you're-waiting type of deal. It's not "hardcore" or whatever at all, but then, not every game needs to be!

I'd be fine with the Smash stage having no hazards and just coasting on the charm of seeing your system's Miis interacting in the background. There are already plenty of stages with hazards; I'd be fine with this stage being Smash 3DS's Smashville, as it were.

Eh, if I hadn't made it, someone else would have (people were already discussing it in the main thread). It was the first time anyone was banned for that, but certainly not the first time it was done. No regrets. But obviously lesson learned.

Oh wow, you got the first ban for that? That sucks, sorry to hear that. :( But hey, at least you're back and it's all good now! Just in time for the release hype!
