All media on the ground should have this with them.

Pretty sure mustafa is the guy who had a gun pointed in his face last night, by the way.

You know what could provide footage of the alleged Molotovs and whatever fantastical line of BS I'm hearing Wilson is cooking up?

Wearable cameras on the police.

No, no. Because Police are a beacon of self sacrifice and deserve the utmost respect. How dare you ask them to be accountable for their actions with cameras. They'd never lie, so we have to take their word for it. Fuck accountability, these guys work holidays and are away from their families!!!1111

Yes, I did. They seem to have no (or almost no) experience in this area from what I saw. What point are you trying to corner me into now that I've proven this (diversity) is actually important?

Here's a firm that actually does (not in St. Louis but point still stands). One like this, which I'm certain exist in Missouri, would be better equipped in dealing with the problems in Ferguson especially if they have a diverse staff.

Im just giving you the benefit of the doubt that you did look at that PR Firm website before you first responded to my post a while ago.

Yes your firm is a great firm for handling the Ferguson situation. This PR firm is actually just sorting through media queries and thats it. No Speech's , no representation of any one or really anything important.

"Wilson pursued Brown and his friend, ordering them to freeze, according to the account. When they turned around, Brown began taunting Wilson, saying he would not arrest them, then ran at the officer at full speed, the caller said.
Wilson then began shooting. The final shot was to Brown's forehead, and the teenager fell two or three feet in front of Wilson, said the caller, who identified herself as the officer's friend."
That's the dumbest shit I've ever read.

That's the best story they could come up with? They had almost a whole week now.

i get proper representation, but representation shouldn't be about filling seats with familiar faces based on percentages of the population . i think people are getting too race baited into this whole situation.

Who's talking about just filling seats.

You see this?

This was the republican panel on birth control. If you can see and understand what's wrong with this you can do the same with the force and the PR choice of Ferg PD.

Fox News host just asked if the marijuana could've been laced with another drug. The guy who did the autopsy said he doesn't know about the specific levels of chemicals in the marijuana that might've made him act crazily. A few pages ago, someone joked about how the chemicals in weed react differently to black people to make them crazier. This guy just said it seriously.

Fox News needs to be treated like RT. It's propaganda and appeals to its audience. Those outside of that know it's mostly full of shit.

Fox News, continuing their proud tradition of poisoning the country with bs.

Is it legal to arrest people without identifying yourself? I mean they're clearly cops but can they anonymously arrest people specifically asking the police officer for identification?

They're arresting prominent media figures?

This complete refusal to learn to stop harassing the press is going to be death of this law enforcement team.

Can't wait for this narrative to be added onto the "he reached for my gun and is now headed right for me!"

Keep on keeping on Cops. Ferguson Police has set back Police relations nation wide for a very long time

While that may be true, those people are voters and people with actual political power. It's a very dangerous thing when this can be "debated"

And that's why I've said before that Fox News is the absolute worst channel in the world.

All the other propaganda channels are just mouth pieces of authoritarian governments, Fox News can make real change in American politics, which by extension can have real consequence to the rest of the world.

Murdoch should be ranked up there with the most terrible people in modern history.

So they sign an agreement saying they will not arrest journalists, and now they've arrested multiple journalists. Right.

But they put the words "unless" in it.
I agree to pay all gaffers $1 million unless, something happens where I can't.

Oops, I can't. too bad. sorry.

As if the police's actions down there weren't already disgusting and cowardly enough. Are they going to start gassing and arresting children and handicapped people too?

(and on a side note, what on earth is up with the hair dye job on the chick on the left)

Pretty interesting that for CNN, a friend of the cop on radio "casts doubt" on eyewitness accounts and the results of an autopsy

I think that because it exists primarily to profit through pandering, it is far more evil than the state propaganda channels.

CNN story is making my blood boil.

Using "accurate" as if it mean "true."

Don't get me wrong, if that's what happened I'm sure it will come out, but CNN is effectively transposing the idea of an accurate retelling to mean "true" in the way it's contextualized here.

http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/18/us/missouri-teen-shooting/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

Ferguson, Missouri (CNN) -- The Ferguson, Missouri, police officer who killed Michael Brown says the teenager rushed at him full speed in the moments before the shooting, according to an account phoned in to a radio station and confirmed by a source with detailed knowledge of the investigation.

then, deep into the story it's clarified thusly:

A source with detailed knowledge of the investigation later told CNN the caller's account is "accurate," in that it matches what Wilson has told investigators.

I mean, come on.

It's not quite like RT because there is an opposing view point on other networks. I'd rather have the freedom to have networks with varying agendas and just choose where to get my news than to have it regulated by a government which can so easily be corrupted. When a democrat is in office I'm glad Fox news is around because they are going to have the most critical eye on them... conversely when a Republican is in office, I'm glad NBC news is around for the same reason. A press out to pounce on politicians keeps them at least a little honest.

That's St. Louis City police arresting her, not Fergusson / St Louis County.

i understand. i dont see men being on the birth control board as inherently wrong, its the ideology that i find wrong and their views on birth control. but them being men isn't why theur views are wrong, its their thinking on the reasons behind birth control that is wrong. what if the panel was full of republican women with identical views as their male counterparts, would that make the panel any better? no. so my point is with an all white PR team is that skin color alone doesn't equate to competency or incompetency, there has to be a competent mindset in place more than anything for things to be done right. my hope would be that whether someone is black or white, regardless of their community's demographics, that they would be able to do what is best for their community by having an all encompassing viewpoint. so to assume just because those people on the PR team are all white somehow equates to them being incompetent is a bit of a stretch for me, i would hope we can be a little less cynical than that lol .

Not wanting to start anything, but is it really important that the lady is a holocaust survivor? Did the police hear that she survived the holocaust and then got her into custody?
But by god, please don't try to put the racism in america is luke the holocaust. Its bad, but by no means that bad.
