Ferguson: Police Kill 18yo Black Male; Fire Gas/Rubber Bullets Into Protesting Crowds

They are upset with the press? What, that they pointed their non-violent moving-picture making devices at them?

I bet they will try and frame it like the press presence being so large (and growing) is escalating things, instead of, you know, the cops showing up in swat gear, acting like bullies and throwing tear gas at people.

So you're free to protest as long as you don't stay still for too long, leave before 4 and stay in the designated free speech zones. What's going on America?

Yea, the Ferguson PD needs to be relieved of their current operations and a third party (I believe I heard the National Guard was called in) needs to take over. Theyhave managed to suck on every level of this case and the proceeding events. Shot an unarmed civilian, leave his body in the middle of the street for hours, then they gave zero information for days about everything that happened. After that people started peacefully assembling and demanding answers, so naturally the Ferguson PD showed up in fully military gear like they had just been air dropped into Gaza, and start pointing their guns at every and bossing them around.

This police department may be one of the most incompetant and idiotic in the entire country. It is like, next level fail. If they had made any effort to be transparent, or treated their citizens like actual people instead of bossing them around in fully body armor with M4's pointed at them, maybe the situation would have never gotten so bad. This isn't even considering the bullshit curfew and arresting of journalists. One of the people they arrested during said curfew was in his car, in his diveway, smoking a cigarette with his girlfriend and a friend. Police swarmed his car and arrested him at gunpoint and held him for hours before letting him go--he was charged with "failure to disperse".

It's starting to really work against them though. For the first time American's are taking a step back and realizing the Police across the entire country treat the citizens they are sworn to protect and serve like absolute trash. We went from having Police forces that upheld the law to having veritable militias patroling the streets, and with Ferguson people are finally starting to notice how big of an issue it is. There is a weird sort of "hero worship" when it comes to Police Officers, and it makes it nearly impossible to be critical of the police force in this country. Once we get rid of that idea that they are better than average civilians we will finally be able to fix the issues that exist.

I think the intention is to tire them out and keep them moving in hopes someone messes up and they can act with excessive force.
Ferguson was relieved a while back. State Troopers took over, Captain Johnson is the one handling all this mess.

It would save on tear gas and bullets if they just built a wall around Ferguson. If people try to throw motlovs over the wall, they can just target them with airstrikes.

Thought Capt Johnson was making some good moves but after tonight...nah...whole force gotta

There's no legitimate reason for throwing tear gas.

This shit is disgusting, has been disgusting.

There's no official rational for this.

As much I like to say the obama and the federal shouldn't get involved, this shit doesn't even make sense even anymore.

There's no actual logical reason for these two forces to be up against each other.

Does the FBI have the sort of manpower to take over this situation? The people currently in charge seem to have lost it...
Nope. When you think FBI always think a sort of detective or math nerd that catches rich people in white collar crimes or mass murderers on the run.

listening to all the different parties in Ferguson is like hearing WWE dialogue going back and fourth. Cpt. Johnson basically pulled a Triple H lol. he had a "i do whats best for business" type of conversation with Lemon on CNN

The press was standing BETWEEN the protestors and police earlier, TRYING to stop shit from turning like they did....that better not be the issue he's talking about because that was amazing to see.

I hope he hammers them though. Just to get even more backlash.

He'll just take them on a date to calm them down.

I thought the press had mad fucking courage when I saw that part. They got right in the cops face while they were moving in on the protesters.

Makes sense. He just watched his entire side turn the place into a warzone over a few water bottles. :\

Cops are unreasonable. Don't stand still. Go walk towards some other street...where the police down there say the same thing, to walk towards the other street. You have people surrounded and any peaceful protester who wanted to get out probably couldn't have according to Tim's stream.

The last thing Johnson should do is tell the media that they're part of the problem...gonna make the police look even more incompetent and add to the backlash they're getting now.

The bigger news stations didn't even care until reporters were getting gassed, shot at and arrested.

Not to go off topic but this is really not the job of the press nor something they should be doing.

Look how happy those CNN dudes got just because he "answered questions" and was going to give one of them a peak into his POV.

MSM for you.

Not to go off topic but this is really not the job of the press nor something they should be doing.

Intense circumstances like the militaryesque crackdown by police has led to this.

Lol telling people to get off the streets while tear gassing and shooting at them? Oh okay. That helps
They've got to protect all that innocent pavement from those animals. Shame they don't give the same protection to the buildings, or the people.

I'm getting the impression those asshole cops would have probably gassed the President himself had he been there. No notion of what does or doesn't make sense anymore.
