SCE Japan/Asia Press Conference on 9/1

Judging by the list of what was announced last year... I can get behind this.

I really do hope they don't completely neglect Vita, though.

I think the niche Japanese third parties will continue to support Vita, but honestly not expecting a single thing first party wise.

Also have a feeling Deep Down is either super delayed, cancelled, or scrapped into something else.

I hope you're right about the first part. I can imagine a lot of the niche stuff focusing on PS4 for a while - haven't Falcom & NIS both already pledged allegiance; and Compile Heart are already there?

I suppose the bigger the game announcement for Vita, the less chance it has of coming to the west anyway. Sony have been pretty decent with bringing stuff across but it felt like Freedom Wars/Oreshika was more of a struggle than Soul Sacrifice was a year ago.
 
We're overdue on details on those Gundam and EDF games that were announced for PS4 last year, aren't we?

Beyond that, I just want a Persona 5 trailer. Otherwise I fully expect this to be Sony's worst show of the year again.
 
Last year's was pretty cool, hopefully this one is an improvement over it. Though, isn't this too early? I thought TGS wont start until mid September!

I'm sure they'll be tons of anime girl face games at TGS. If you mean first party vita games, I wouldn't doubt you.

Well unless the first party game is an anime girl face game. Gravity rush 2 coming straight at ya.
 
pss...you guys are so late to the game.. there are going to be some new games but nothing intersting enough.. Mostly it's gonna be games that have been announced before.. Deep down, final fantasy, few slides of kingdom heart 3...That would be it.
 
Just hoping for Virtua Fighter 6 and DOA6 announcements.

They have 2 press conferences next month, I expect each show to heavily focus on one platform. I think the SCEJA one will be about the PS4 and TGS mostly about the Vita.

Like I said, we still haven't seen Dancing All Night yet. I'm hoping they'll show that over the next few weeks. I can't see them showing P5 before it though.
 
Where does it say they have 2 press conferences? They didn't last year.

I also doubt Dead or Alive 6 is coming anytime soon. DoA5 is still being supported and making money.
 
i think they hold the event before TGS to let 3rd parties reveal more information + playable at TGS. Teaser shown there, full trailer at TGS.

Because SCEJA never officially calls their conference a TGS conference unlike E3 and Gamescom, so some are confused that Sony is doing one for this and one for TGS.

This is the TGS one.

Ah you're right, guess this conference will be heavily focused on PS4 with a few Vita moments like GR2 and TGS will probably be the place for lots of smaller 3rd party announcements for Vita. But man, Sony should really urge these devs to make PS4 versions of their Vita games and start dropping the PS3.
