Massive improvement.

Wow. I'm so glad they re-did the commentary. /s Looks good otherwise.

EDIT: Cole and King even still look like they're talking to each other during the end of Ortons entrance, but no words.

They have the old scratch logo on stage but the New Logo on screen and it still doesn't look like how it does on tv. I see a delay incoming.

They just introduced the new logo on stage and on the turnbuckles this past Monday. They won't make the final game - simple as that.

the faces look good and clearly the game looks better overall.. but it still doesn't have that next-gen feel, talking just graphics.. the presentation still lacks authenticity.

don't get me wrong, i'm excited for this game.. but graphics-wise so far 2k15 don't change my impression about WWE games always looking worse than other sports games. It certainly doesn't feel like a whole new engine, just improvements upon an old foundation.

Nah, he needs that Cody Rhodes/Goldust hybrid jacket he wears now. Shit's so awesome.

Holy Shit, that commentary. They can't record introductory commentary from a live RAW and embed that into the game?
They usually don't have a track record of keeping their games up to date.....

Keep your expectations realistic guys. The game is showing good improvement graphics wise and we have to wait and see how much the gameplay has changed. Next year we will probably see much more improvement. This is the first current gen WWE game, cut them some slack. People were expecting NBA 2K15 or FIFA 15 level changes suddenly I guess.

Compare the game to WWE 2K14 rather than comparing to other sports titles to actually see the improvement. WWE games were always 10 steps behind other sports titles (WWE isn't even a sport, its sports entertainment lol) and they always will be.

I think the Randy Orton intro was damn impressive graphically. Same with Goldust NBA 2k quality. There are going to be presentations issues but, as you said, this is the first year that they are on current gen. It's also the first year that 2k has seriously been involved in development of the title. I like everything I'm seeing so far.

As for keeping costumes up to date, that's just really hard to do with WWE games. It's not like every other sports game in which you know the guys are going to be wearing the same uniforms the entire season. I would like to see Goldust wearing his coat, but that isn't a huge issue for me.

The models definitely show a massive improvement over the previous one,if the crowd and the audio could be given the same treatment it would go a long way towards improving the overall presentation.

Yeah, the crowd audio is disappointing. For the Attitude mode a couple of years ago I swear they actually used the audio from the arena itself. Just for that mode though. It made a HUGE difference.

I won't comment on commentary until I hear more.

No, it should be compared to all other games that are competing for my money. It doesn't get any extra slack for any reason.

If it needs more polish, delay it. I don't care who the barrier to this is, WWE or 2K. It needs a year off and has needed that for years. I'll give them until it releases to judge it as you never know, it is still possible it's an old build, but it doesn't get a free pass unless they give it to me for free.

Not only the audio, the crowd looks out of place with the models now being so realistic.

That's the one bit I'm fine with. Hell, make then 2D with 2 frames again if it means I can get more high quality wrestlers in the ring.
I think they have reached a point where the models look good enough,I'd like more consistency across the board.

Good. Vote with your wallet. Don't buy if you dont like. Just that dont keep unrealistic expectations. I buy WWE game every year, and from what I am seeing, game is massively improved compared to what they were improving each year prior to this.

It's the jank that concerns me most, which that off-screen footage showed and hopefully they still have time to polish. I'm thinking it'll be a fun drinking game when it hits £20 pre-owned, but that October is so damn stacked.

If 2k really did want to delay until Wrestlemania, I think that would be a smart move. Less packed schedule and the hype of the biggest show of the year could make me make a silly mistake each year... Well, one of many of my yearly mistakes anyway.

They are bound by WWE license which dictates a new WWE game every year.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the new logo at least on the turnbuckles. They had the foresight to add the new logo to the 'WWE Live' thing on the screen, so they'd surely replace other instances of the scratch logo too.

It's not like it was a big surprise Monday when the logo changed.

what was up with the fireworks in goldust's entrance?

It looks like his WWE '13 Attitude era entrance.

I have watched the intros several times. I really do think they look great. The crowd looks really good too. I have been playing a ton of MLB: The Show and I think the crowd actually looks better here than in that. Haven't played NBA 2k14 in a while but I don't think the crowd was anything great in that either.

I don't see the jank in intros either. The animation is sold IMO and we are only seeing it at 30fps. They have stated in interviews that they feel they can achieve 1080p 60fps on both systems.

Now we just need to see it being played by people who know how to actually play it. One of the last bits of offscreen footage we received actually had a couple of decent matches on it.

Biggest issue was the fireworks in Goldust's entrance.

I actually went to a WWE live event last night here in San Diego, and first thing that shocked me was how tiny the ring actually is in-person. It looks so much larger on TV, probably because of the camera angles and what not, but it looked like the wrestlers barely had room to do work. Once the show started though, got used to it and everything was normal.

Great show btw, got a hell of a Divas title match between Natty and Paige (which wasn't listed so was a nice surprise) and a badass Table match between Seth and Roman Reigns (RR speared Seth through the table in the corner of the ring for the win).

You'd be really shocked at a WCW/ECW or indie show, as WWE rings are the biggest in the industry. Look up 70s UK wrestling. THOSE rings are basically adult playpens.

The ramp look like trash. Just a big flat gray texture that looks like its not effected by any of the lighting or pyro going on. It really stands out.

I don't suppose anyone preordered the XB1 Hulkamania edition and changed their mind? I'd buy it off ya, I went called around all last week and sold out, even online. So bummed :(

Only 25,000 I think, I missed out on amazon and gamestop too :/ , I think I'll pre order any collectors edition from amazon now, doesn't charge til it ships and it seems collectors editions are starting to become limited D:

I'm not sure what's going on there, but the PS3 version doesn't look as bad as 2k14 does in that video. WWE 2k15 looks like a higher res version of 14 with better models for the wrestlers. The crowd and announcers still look horribly bad.

reminds me of when HDTV first came out and they would show comparison bullshots/videos with the SD side a completely blurry mess.
