You're the author aren't you
I wold love a vet....but I don't think we have gotten any kind of hint towards getting one soon, like we did with Metaknight.

I think Meta Knight was the only time we got a hint toward one that actually amounted to anything.

Which is why it makes me think the next vets shown will also have hints. Obviously could be wrong though, but would be fun.

Anyways, as you can tell, I've got a leak (as if you couldn't see that from the title). I may as well tell you guys now, should I not? As for the backstory, I'll keep it short and sweet. I have a good friend who lives in Japan right now, and we got to know each other through what I believe is called pen-pals, thanks to our schools, since he was studying English and I was studying Japanese. After a while, we both raised money to see each other, and we both had a great time spending time with one another. He knows that I'm a huge fan of Smash Bros, and thankfully, he was able to get a good paying job and is now working on Smash 4. He's definitely of Sakurai's nature, being of a troll-ish guy, so he only tells me things in small bits, unfortunatly.
Regarding the Gematsu leak, he said it was partially right, and he says that Shulk is still going to be playable, although he doesn't really know anything about the Chorus Men, although he suspects that they may be an Assist or Smash Run enemy, but he doesn't know to much about them besides who they are.
Dealing with the veterans, almost all of them return. The only one's who don't are Squirtle and Ivysaur. So yes. Both Lucas and Snake return, along with Wario (as if we didn't expect to see him return)
Alternate Costumes:
In case you haven't found out from last night, there are some last minute alternate costumes. He says that Dry Bowser is an alt. for Bowser and he says that Daisy returns as a palette swap for Peach. He also says that he doesn't think there are any Hyrule Warrior alts. in the game, unfortunately.
Assist Trophies:
He says that Ghirahim appears as an Assist, quickly attacking people with his sword and daggers.
He also says that Krystal will be appearing as an Assist also, using her staff to shoot different colored things.
He also says that most Assist Trophies from Brawl return, if not all.
Newcomers:
He says that there are some more newcomers for Smash 4, and that some will be secret characters.
First off, he says that Mewtwo is definetly returning, and has a mostly different moveset, although he does keep some moves, such as his Nair. His final Smash is him transforming into Mega Mewtwo Y and then using Psystrike.
Upon showing him some of the more recent leaks with Dr.Mario playable, he says that he was aware of Dr.Mario being Mario's alt, but not playable. He then goes on to say that he was probably the last character added into the game, and is probably in the same vein as Lucina.
Ridley and K.Rool are also playable, with K.Rool in his King costume, but he utilizes different weapons from his different costumes, and he says that Ridley has a very good air game. He also says that Ridley's Final Smash is Meta Ridley.
He also says that there is a Zelda newcomer, he said that at first he thought it was a Wind Waker styled Ghirahim, but later found out that it was an entirely different character. He says he believes that the name was Veran, or something along the lines of that and that he was a short purple character who used different wind, fire, and electric attacks. He also said that he transforms into a giant eyeball for his final Smash and can shoot out other smaller, flying eyes.
He says he is unsure of Dark Pit, but believes he is playable among the same lines of Lucina.
He also says that a Bike Riding character is playable. He says he looks pretty badass, but that's all he really knows about him.
DLC:
He does indeed say that DLC is a thing, and that several packs will come out, although he doesn't know the exact names of each one.
Cut Veterans Pack:
This will have all the cut veterans from Brawl and Melee that didn't make it into Smash 4 in any form, it'll also come with a few Melee and Brawl stages.
Hyrule's Protector Pack:
This has Impa playable, it'll also have a few trophies to come with it, mostly from Hyrule Warriors, since Smash was too late in developement when Hyrule Warriors was announced.
Hoenn Pack:
This will have a playable Sceptile along with a 3rd generation stage. He says he believe's the stage will be Mt.Pyre, but he isn't quite sure.
Fungi Pack:
This will have Captain Toad playable, along with some Captain Toad trophies.
Now, my friend does say he's not 100% sure about everything, and he says he will get back to me if he finds out anything else.
Stop being so bad at simple game!![]()
Hikana564 Leak
This is my favorite leak origin story yet. His source is his pen pal, who likes to troll him. Correctly guesses Ghirahim as Assist Trophy two days before. Says DLC includes Roy, Young Link, Pichu, Squirtle, Ivysaur. Impa, Sceptile, and Captain Toad. The mods imply that Hikana564 is a moderator's alt account.
BONUS: I noticed JediLink of GAF frequents Smash Boards.
There seems to be no rules over there. Even the mods are in on the rumor game.Vaati, lol
Can you not get banned on Smashboards for posting obviously dumb leaks?
So I thought it's be fun to discuss some of the weirder moves in Smash, and try to find out what inspired them and makes them tick. Here's a few.
Firefox/Falco - Love this move, but I always wondered where the hell it came from. Fox and Falco are just pilots, not super animals. They shouldn't be able to engulf themselves in flames and shoot forward. Has this move ever been explained, like with a Slippy contraption or something like the reflector?
Luigi's Up B - What the fuck is the deal with this move? If used normally, you get nearly no damage and one coin, which is already weird enough. But if used directly next to your opponent (I think only on the ground), you get an extremely powerful attack. My guess is that it's just a play on Luigi's awkwardness/luck?
Jigglyouff's Rest - I'm no Poke expert, but my understanding was rest has always been used to heal Jigglypuff. Why then in Smash, does it create one of the most powerful attacks in the game if used directly next to an opponent? On top of that, it doesn't heal her!
Bowser's Koopa Klaw in Melee - Did this have.....any purpose whatsoever? I was always so confused that this was a special attack...
I guess that covers pretty much all of em' for me. Anyone got any thoughts?
So, Captain Toad to have the worst recovery in the game? He can't jump.

I thought Bowsers Koopa klaw worked as a grab if used up close.
And yeah Rest doing insane damage is silly![]()
Aahahahahah oh Smashboards.
And quite a few of our dudes do, actually. I dunno how they manage to survive through all the stupid.
Another weird one is Captain Falcon's up special. What is he even doing?
Joke Character Tier. Definitely
It is actually one of his most useful moves in Melee, not that it means much.Did it in Melee? I haven't played it in a while, but I thought I remember that mechanic being added in Brawl, where as in Melee it was just a swipe.
I always assumed they were just blowing and since they're from the arctic said-breath is super cold.Speaking of bizarre moves, I have no idea what's going on with Ice Climbers' down special. I know there's not a lot to work with in the source material, but why can two seemingly normal children summon an icy mist?

He's already playable.
I'd like to see [Captain] Toad as a playable character in Smash someday. I'm probably 1 of maybe 4 people total who do but I don't care :V

The biggest mystery is how peach can cause fire/heart explosions with her side b. Heck were does she pull toad from?
You know what I meanHe's already playable.

I wish other sites banned for improbable leaks so all this crap would stop. Then again, GFAQs banned all leak discussion pre-Marvel release, and it was a terrible idea since Lupiko was real.
Vaati, lol

Luigi's Side B still confuses me.

But yeah, it grabs up close.
Sakurai be looking pretty fraudulent right now. This might be an interesting project for Project M to make Ridley playable!
???
You know what I mean![]()
Searched it up, and it did, what I did not know is that it also grabs in the air!

Yeah, there is no way any Westerners are making it 3 weeks.
