Anything that isn't an image or footage should be taken with a grain of salt. The Ridley/Impa/etc. stuff is just SmashGAF being hopeful.

Bowser Jr. And Shulk are in, without a shadow of a doubt due to cold hard (fuzzy) video evidence. Presumably Duck Hunt Dog, Dark Pit, and Dr. Mario are in by extension.

Everything else is up in the air.

Any other images released trying to piggy back off it = fake

All text of unconfirmed characters and stages not in then esrb pics/video = probably fake

I think #1 is a black Kirby alt, #2 is the same Kirby alt disguised as Meta Knight.

In crossover games I tend to just gravitate towards the characters I like as characters and just learn to get good with them.

I thought the whole point of a 'main' was that it was your 'main'? It's not that I don't like the red diamond characters, but if I'm being honest with myself I'm not going to be playing as them that often.

In crossover games I tend to just gravitate towards the characters I like as characters and just learn to get good with them.

Personally, I took the grey characters as the ones I'd like to try out at least, and red I really don't give a shit about. But your interpretation makes sense too, of course

Probably because of Nintendo history and being an unique character. I know Snake fits into the latter but I guess they wanted Mega Man and Pac-Man instead and Sega and Nintendo have a partnership so Sonic wasn't going anywhere.

The only reason Slime is not in Smash is because Sakurai lacks the foresight to understand its value

(same reason why Tingle, a second Punch-Out!! representative, and a second Wario representative are not)

Yeah, it could be obvious. I'm talking about animation itself such as items, etc. However we can't really make any assumption yet unless we see the move test because I have a feeling that Dark Pit might have one of his own weapon.

How can you have one main, a few secondaries and then almost never play as anyone else? Anything but changing character every match is so boring to me.

Some people like to specialise in certain characters.


It's never boring as long as you have the mindset that you can always be better with your main, nothing is ever "good enough", you have to keep improving your game.

I haven't posted in a Smash Bros thread in a while, as it's safer just lurking but I am pretty pleased with all that has leaked. Sure Dr Mario means little to me, but Pitoo is great and Jr, Duck Hunt Dog and Shulk being added is definitely interesting.

Getting to play as Alph is actually all I want confirmed at the moment.

I'm not sure I agree with you a hundred percent on your police work, there, Lou. I can see Snake, and I can mostly see Ice Climbers, but Wolf was one of the last characters people unlocked, while Lucas could reasonably have been made an unlockable character. Further, it's also possible that Ice Climbers were turned into a single character as opposed to a tandem one, and Sakurai decided to make them secret (both to bolster the unlockables and keep it a surprise).

Pic of the day. Spectator Mode is available even on the compact 3DS version!! In this mode, you can watch players all around the world fight and make bets with in-game gold. Wager wisely by checking out the player names, rules, win rates, odds, fighters, and stage!!

Being able to cheer someone on is what really makes spectating matches fun. This time, 1st and 2nd place will get prizes in four-player matches, and spectators can bet the gold they win on Bonus Chances.
