What does Smash Bros have to do with anything? It's a completely different game. Obviously it will still have to go through QA, but that doesn't have anything to do with how easy it is to localize.
you do realize a Japanese system and an American one are identical, right?
region lock isn't a hardware issue. The only localization that would be needed (assuming it's the same Xenoblade we know and doesn't have some new network or community features) is the one that was already done for Wii. That content just needs to be downscaled.
Yes, but won't be surprised it won't and there's a new eShop for DS games that you can buy for $29.99 base price! Will this still play DS games?

I bet 3rd party sellers will make some sick ass faceplates.
I'm all in for the better screen. Don't see how that tiny ass c button can be used for anything, though.
Wait, L+R is to take a photo like on the regular 3DS, but that Y option is new. Take a screenshot?

Oh wow! Thanks for letting me know. got carried away assuming it was only for the new one.
Woops, English version is up, too: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/corporate/release/en/2014/140829.htmlThe Press Release for the New 3DS (LL): http://www.nintendo.co.jp/corporate/release/2014/140829.html
(hopefully) Irrational fear of the day:
If Nintendo Europe decide that MH4U only works with the new version I will kill someone or something.
I know Nintendo wouldn't stoop to that.....
Why does the screen look worse sometimes? Is it an auto-brightness thing?

You cut off the important part around the screen. It has an ambient light sensor, like smartphones, so it adjusts with your surroundings.

I need the white 3DS. I love it and i'm gonna buy it!
The question is... Why the second stick resemble like a nipple?
I hate how the XL doesn't have colored buttons as well. I don't see the reasoning or point in not having them colored.

So they increased the screen size on the small model? Nice - I'm in for that.
Look at the post above you, the spec/features have been trasnlated in english. So, let me get this straight:
New LL screen is same size as old LL?
Micro SD card full replaces normal SD card, right?
Are the faceplates only for the smaller one, or are some faceplates for the LL?
Why does the screen look worse sometimes? Is it an auto-brightness thing?

Do the extra buttons/stick basically work exactly like circle pad pro? Games that support CPP also support the new buttons?
What other details are there that I might have missed?
Can the OP put this in his post ?Woops, English version is up, too: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/corporate/release/en/2014/140829.html
You should also add some kind of exclusive games to the model in the works.

Not really, just games that make use of the new control options. FF Explorers and Monster Hunter for example are still playable on a regular 3DS, with or without the second analog add-on.
Sorry if it has been answered already but did they increase the resolution? And if anybody knows, how big of a jump is the new cpu? I have so many questions but I'm buying no matter what! I love the 3DS and I'm so happy about this. Plus I never got a chance to play Xenoblade on Wii, so now I'll be able to play on the new 3DS!
Soooo... Anyone wants to buy a used Zelda XL?
