It's harder to find the original game.
I dunno. I recommended the game 3 months ago to a new Wii U owner and he got the game 1 week after for around $50 (currency converted) brand new. He never had difficulty finding a copy.
It's harder to find the original game.
Honestly the most pissed off I've been with gaming news since the Xbox One DRM fiasco. What's really sad is all of the people defending it.
I wonder what would happen if Microsoft announced the Xbox One.5. It's an upgraded Xbox One that will have exclusive games developed for it! Wouldn't that be lovely?
How so?
I've been buying Nintendo platforms since the original Game Boy and this is the first time I've ever felt this way. Bought a GBA, DS, and 3DS on launch day. It's ok man. It's Nintendo. Nintendo does this all the time. You should have expected it. Just buy another system.
I expect the hardware iterations. That's not the issue. How many times do people have to explain why the phone analogy doesn't work?lol
You guys are sad. We're just happy we get to buy an improved 3DS. Why would we even need to defend great news?
You won't see me crying every time Apple announces a new iPhone either.
How so?
Thanks for making me feel great about buying a 3DS XL a month back Nintendo!
lol

Well then GBC, expansion pack for 64, Zapper, Balance Board, DSI, 4 swords and others should have risen your ire too.I've been buying Nintendo platforms since the original Game Boy and this is the first time I've ever felt this way. Bought a GBA, DS, and 3DS on launch day.
If this was the successor to the 3DS being announced I'd be jumping for joy. It truly baffles me that this is so difficult to comprehend for some people. It doesn't work for you because you don't want it to.
New stuff will get released and old stuff will get old and become useless.
Get over it.
None of those are comparable, in my opinion, although DSi was close.Well then GBC, expansion pack for 64, Zapper, Balance Board, DSI, 4 swords and others should have risen your ire too.

The revision has exclusives, while the original already (arguably) suffers from a perpetual drought of titles.
Nicceee. I hope that most of the upcoming 3DS games are new 3DS exclusive. It sucks for people that bought the old 3DS, but it's great that games like this can take advantage of better hardware.
And? People beg for things all the bloody time. What makes this game so special? Besides, if anything. This will finally drop the price of that Gamestop exclusive. When has begging ever been enough to justify this much contempt?
Yes, because SEGA repeatedly made poor financial decisions.
Nintendo has proven over and over again that these half steps are good for them.
I hear you man, I was an early adopter of the Wii and it really pissed me off initially to see 3DS get games like Pilotwings and Luigi's Mansion 2 which seemed like obvious fits for the Wiimote. But eventually you gotta move on.
Xenoblade will likely still be available in some form on whatever Nintendo system you do decide to pick up later down the line. It looks like they're trying to build it into a big IP.
Why beg for a Wii U port when the Wii one can be played on the Wii U?
Because making a high profile game such as this exclusive to the slightly modified version of a platform you already own, plain sucks. Would you be OK with the new Xenoblade only working on the Wii U+?How so?
lol, because the Wii U and 3DS hardware is revised every year, right? A terrible comparison.lol

There is 1 announced exclusive, and several more that will take advantage of the system but still run on the original... though they are so far off that their names were unannounced.
Can we let the ship leave port before yelling about icebergs?
How? HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW? HOW?
How is this alienating people? Why all the fucking hyperbole? Why is everything Nintendo ever does is claimed as nothing more than "betrayal" or "alienation"? There is ONE exclusive coming out. And its a downgraded PORT at that. We don't even know if its coming out of Japan and already we have our hate engines rolling at full force.
Actually, for that matter, how in is this any uglier than the 3DS? It looks the same!
Well then GBC, expansion pack for 64, Zapper, Balance Board, DSI, 4 swords and others should have risen your ire too.

People are used to it because it's happened ever since fullfledged handhelds exist. Your rage is way over a decade later, sry.
So we should just shut up and accept these anti-consumer practices?People are used to it because it's happened ever since fullfledged handhelds exist. Your rage is way over a decade later, sry.

Golly I sure wish I could shit out money as efficiently as you
Nintendo just shot themselves in the foot.
I don't know how much the rest of you know about handheld gaming (I'm an expert), but honor and shame are huge parts of it. It's not like it is in smart phones where you can become successful by being an asshole. If you screw someone over in handheld gaming, you bring shame to yourself, and the only way to get rid of that shame is repentance.
What this means is the Nintendo public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase Xenoblade for either system, nor will they purchase any of Nintendo's games. This is HUGE. You can laugh all you want, but Nintendo has alienated an entire market with this move.
Nintendo, publicly apologize and cancel Xenoblade for 3ds or you can kiss your business goodbye.
Day 1
I remember the bit where SEGA Japan and Americo tried to go in completely different directions and just ended up strangling each other and also the bit where they stretched themselves really thin by trying to support all their hardware at once (which was about 6 systems at that time). I also remember them blowing a huge amount of money on a single game that was going to be a multi part saga called Shenmue. You say that like half steps are a good thing. Do you remember why SEGA isn't making consoles anymore?
So we should just shut up and accept these anti-consumer practices?

Oh, okay. Weird how I missed that considering I bought a GB, GBA, GB Micro, PSP, PSP 3000, DS, DS Lite, 3DS, 3DS XL, and Vita (most of those on launch day).People are used to it because it's happened ever since fullfledged handhelds exist. Your rage is decades too late, sry.
I don't understand the complaints. Vanilla 3DS can't handle the game, if a new 3DS wasn't coming out, the game wasn't coming out on regular 3DS either.
This way there's an added incentive to buy the new one and people who don't buy one are left the same as they were before, because there was no way Xenoblade was coming out on 3DS.
Speak for yourself, I never accepted this sort of BS and never will. A lot of people don't buy into this BS either, that's why Nintendo is less relevant by the day.these are most common practices we have always accepted though.
Nintendo owes everyone who bought a 3DS to never release a superior system ever. It baffles me that people can't understand.
And what does this have to do with that?Yes. This is Nintendo. That made the Wii U.
Nintendo just shot themselves in the foot.

How is the DSi not exactly analogous to this?None of those are comparable, in my opinion, although DSi was close.
You really believe not releasing this on the old 3DS is purely a business decision to get people to upgrade? The contempt is justified because the very existence of this revision is scummy and anti-consumer as fuck. Holding a fan favorite, high in demand game hostage on it is just the cherry on top.
I agree, what's your point.SEGA's poor financial decisions were characterized by more than one failed half step. CD and 32X.
What is this 3DS game they are missing out on?And please don't compare 3DS owners missing out on a 3DS game to Wii owners not wanting to buy an entirely new and separate console.
That I'll grant you, and hope the game gets a re release. But it still has nothing to do with the fact that XB is not possible on the old 3DS.The original is expensive and hard to find new, for one, and I want to play it on my HDTV without it looking like a mess.
