Guys are there solutions for soft modding 3DS to remove region locking? Because I seriously might buy that Japanese Smash Bros. New 3DS if so...

believe it or not there was supposed to be a 3DS Homebrew channel released TODAY that would remove region locking... but due to the announcement of the New 3DS today, the hacker has decided to wait until it releases to see if his exploit works on the new hardware.

real shitty for anyone who wanted to play Japanese Smash 3DS early. Only way is to import a Japanese 3DS >_<

Whaaaa. that's a really dumb reason to hold it back. Why not just release it and then ALSO check? Unless he's afraid nintendo will use it to reverse engineer a solution on new 3ds.

Bowser Jr. is 99.5% certain since there's been video of him in action.

Duck Hunt is presumably likely, but there wasn't any video of him in the ESRB leak apparently.

Are we really expecting a starting roster featuring 36 characters?

That would only leave ~12 to be unlocked.

They're basically 100% correct, but since there's no official material of the leaked characters they aren't included in the OP.

If a game had 25 regular characters and there were 10 secret characters, the promotional videos would not say "over 30 characters!" Because they could say "over 20 characters!" and still be correct without giving away the number of unlockables with some dumb commercial tag line.

"Over 40 characters" literally proves nothing.

Then that means there are over 40 starting characters.

There's also (kinda) the issue of spoilers. I think it's best to showcase the characters and information Nintendo has officially unveiled.

Mario kart kinda shows that nintendo thinks she's one of the two faces of animal crossing. She's pretty darn popular, and i'd be blown away if she doesn't return in all future animal crossings.

The swimsuit thing is straight out of Xenoblade. All the characters, male and female, have swimsuits as armor options (some of them are really good too). Dunban even has a whole skill tree devoted to going armorless.
