Pay $100 for a Wii copy of Xenoblade for emulation?
Pay around $150, assuming trade in value, to play Xenoblade,on the go?
Neither. The game is pretty decent, but doesn't warrant spending a Ben Franklin.

Do we know of any extras this port will have, or is it just the same game but in my pocket?

Ya you get "extra" low quality, guess you could say it's the same game though even with that.

How many 3DS games suffer from performance issues at the moment? Stuff like Monster Hunter would run more consistently if they were CPU-bound I'd imagine?
right, I'm sure that this (you can clearly see the hardware improvements in this "new" 3DS!)I think that we're so used to seeing "gameplay" footage from other companies that looks better than the final product that we forget that Nintendo actually tends to improve games up till release.

will become something very beautiful. just have to believe in the pre-release Nintendo's magic, yes?
Lol.
Last I checked VITA exists and it isn't a monopoly. Also noone is forcing you to buy the new 3DS for this game. It also exists on Wii if you really want to play it, and if you don't have a Wii you can also buy the game, rip it and play it on Dolphin PC. I guess that Gameboy Color must have been screwing over the userbase also...
Thank goodness that footage is from the final version of the game. It must be right around the corner now!right, I'm sure that this (you can clearly see the hardware improvements in this "new" 3DS!)

At this point though, we're only dealing in hypotheticals about the rest of the market. I don't think we'll see a ton of New 3DS exclusive titles at all, especially when you look at third parties. It doesn't make sense for them to close off exclusivity at all, and likely will only make "enhanced" versions that work on both systems.Point is it will lead to more games that may potentially be exclusive to this revision.
It's funny how you are comparing the 3ds which was released in 2011 to this revision which will first be released in 2014 to the game boy which was released in 1989 to the GB color which was released about almost 8 years later.
Can't believe people are defending this grimy cash grab - it's as bad as Nintendo reducing the price of the 3ds in its first year.

You can just pick up a copy from Gamestop for like $0 and they're basically brand new
Or you can look at history, but I guess you already made up your mind.
ok boys, keep living the dream.Thank goodness that footage is from the final version of the game. It must be right around the corner now!

That sounds more like a five finger discount than a legitimate price.
The feel of 240p. ;-)
Perhaps they just begun with their work on Xenoblade Chronicles for 3DS.

don't be too disappointed when the game will look exactly the same when it's actually out. I'm sure that by then you'll find some more excuses.
Wouldn't the last major one have been Wii Motion Plus?i feel the same way. however there's a bit more going on here than the upgrades the gbc and dsi received. new controls for an updated system is brand new territory for nintendo. not that it hasn't been done before though, it's just been a long time since the last one (dual shock/sony).
I kind of refuse to believe Nintendo would release a game with that awful framerate.

This would be the first one for a handheld, unless the cameras added to DSi and PSP3000 count. Then would Kinect count too?
The resolution seems so low.
But being the weaker, cheaper hardware has won them every single handheld generation.Man that looks absolutely awful!
Come on Nintendo, just for once release a piece of hardware that is not on the low end of the spectrum!

I remember when people were clammoring about how games like SM3DWorld, Wonderful 101, Hyrule Warriors, etc. looked like shit during their reveal trailers. Then when the games actually released "Omg this doesn't look anything like the reveal!" No shit.
