Sony Pre-TGS 2014 SCEJA Conference - Wait we're in Japan? [Over]

That wasn't it.
There were supposedly 2 SCEJ JRPG's in the works, the first one "would go well with he hardcore" or something like that (so Bloodborne) and the second one would be a direct competitor to the FF franchise.

Or did somebody deny the fact that the first JRPG was Bloodborne?

I wonder if we will see MGR2 announcement tomorrow. Kojima clearly wants the game to happen and he has a good history of surprising us with announcements in Sony conferences (P.T and all...)

I would love a MGR2. In the sequel it should be Co-op or something.

Was Medievil ever popular in Japan? I'd like to see that come back. Or Ape Escape.

Here come beyond the believe my dream for the TGS 2014 :D
Sequel for all those games

Latest Persona Stalker Club episode (official Atlus backed Persona talk show) mentions TGS at the end at timestamp 56:15, with the news article for the episode potentially pointing to their TGS conversation being a "long-awaited" thing. I don't understand Japanese, so it might be nothing.

About this, I asked NeoGAF user Pepsiman to translate what they were talking about for TGS (news post, timestamp 56:15, this image and this one):
Pepsiman said:
Anyway, I don't know if someone else translated the goods or not, but basically all it's saying is that Atlus is holding a stage show "for some reason" at TGS and that the hosts will be there.

If what Verendus was saying was true (about a big budget JRPG currently developed within SCEJ) i think now would be a good time to show something of it.

Otherwise i expect their conference to be too thin of new announcements.

And if you would keep his words in mind. It's really far off and Sony has been avoiding showing gamea early lately.

They will re-reveal TLG at the biggest gaming event around, E3.

Over in Tokyo tomorrow, our colleagues at Sony Computer Entertainment Japan are holding a media briefing to showcase some of the great titles and services heading to that region later this year and into next. While we ask you to bear in mind that not everything showcased is confirmed for release outside of the SCEJA region at present, any early birds among you who want to tune in and watch the presentation can do so – in English – at the Ustream event page.

The conference begins at 3.00pm Tokyo time – that’s 7.00am BST/8.00am CET on Monday morning, and you can follow along on Twitter using the hashtag ##PlayStation0901. Enjoy!

They aren't in a position to drag their feet in Japan, the situation is really bad for the console there.
And they're still not gonna repeat a TLG siutation. The rest of the world is working well enough, why should they rush something thats far to long off and would need extensive marketing for a pretty long period of time ?

A huge amount of the delay on that was definitely switching from PS3 to PS4. The way Shu presents it, the game was too ambitious for PS3 and was just stuck in limbo for a while because of that. Then they basically had to start from scratch for the PS4. I wouldn't consider it representative of any other games Sony has brewing.

It was just one example of a game being shown to early. Another good example would be the SSM game which was pretty close to being shown but got scrapped before that. Sony isn't gonna rush anything again, that was the point I was trying to make.

Does someone know what Verendus is doing these days? Has he said anything? Man, I wish what he said about FFXVI and FFVIIR being in development was true just for the threads here :D GAF down for weeks.

Yeah, this is as close to "Desperation Sony" as you're going to get in the Playstation 4 era. Basically, if nothing impressive comes from this conference, then that's a sign that they've given up on Japan and decided to just reign supreme in all the places it's selling well.

I don't actually recall him saying anything about XVI, or is that a typo?

Fresh from 2 weeks ago:
It doesn't matter that much anyway since pretty much every studio is getting a shot at a new property. So we're back to the beginning in a way with the chance of some games hitting it big, some maybe not. The real problem now is delays everywhere. Some of these games may be hurt by that, others may not. Probably the main game that benefits from its historic delay is The Last Guardian. That's going to do a hell of a lot better than it would have on the PS3.
Think of it like this, Naughty Dog, Polyphony, SSM and even Ready At Dawn have all had setbacks. TLG is doing fine right now. Most of SCEJA is really. That's one positive for you.

I'm gonna have to refer to my Square Enix gifted handbook on this one Amir0x. None of the options presented seem to fit though.

But give it time. Yakuza PS4 will happen.
But seriously, it would be hilarious if TLG got another delay. Not that people would realise if it did anyway, but it would be soul-crushing.

And tons of wrestling stuff since he seems to be a big fan.
