PS4 needs help in Japan. Build hype for TGS where the general public get to play. Probably not a big reason is to squash the XB1 even more which is releasing this week in Japan.

I just think it's mind-boggling that you can announce a game like Final Fantasy Versus XIII and then go years without saying anything, until to re-announce it as Final Fantasy XV and yet again let the fanbase wait for 1-2 years so far for anything new related to media.

Yeah, until Kagari mentioned in the game thread after that E3 to temper expectations of how close the game was, I figured them re-announcing it as XV was signaling that they were atleast going to start talking about it regularly.

Yeah, he said it's not going to be at TGS.

Could be telling the truth, but if not then it wouldn't be the first time Shu purposely misled people only to surprise them later.

I hope like many others persona 5 will get a ps4 port in a reasonable time frame, I really don't like playing on the slow ass ps3 anymore despite the games that are on it

nope, this is meant for the Japanese audience. Sony needs to bring their A game considering how poor the ps4 is selling in japan, they need something to motivate the Japanese consumer

It is?! Damn, I like to consider myself a fairly well-read person on gaming current events now that my time I used to spend playing games I spend on GAF but even I didn't know this. Did we ever even get a Tier 2 release date? To release in Japan and just not bother in much of Europe seems strange.

Edit: Not like it needs burying anyway but even 1 major announce/teaser would hold press attention for Sony 'til TGS.
