Yep. The value is simply incredible.

It really is, especially for people who haven't played Bayo 1 yet (like me)! It's going to be well worth the money spent and I hope people actually support Bayo 2 unlike W101 -- I would be so baffled and sad if Bayo 2 bombs as hard as W101 did. :(

Oh hey, completely missed this announcement. Glad it's at 11pm UK time, if it was any later I probably wouldn't have bothered staying up for it. Should be good to see what the Bayonetta 1&2 price is
so we can complain about the dollar to pound conversion later :P
.

It still amazes me that we're getting Bayo 1 packed in for free and on a disc. Talk about the ultimate EverythingWentBetterThanExpected.jpg

Good guy Nintendo. I never played Bayo 1 but since this is such a steal and with awesome DLC, I'm getting this once I get my WiiU on Black Friday.

Ugh, two amazing games for 50 bucks, including one of the best of last generation. I'm glad i paid off mine, now its just a matter of time to wait :D

Wii U's exclusive stuff coming out is just amazing right now

Dammit I wish you didn't post this. Playing Bayonetta 2 having not seen any footage would be so godlike.

I'm sure it will be godlike anyway. Platinum isn't the type of developer to play all their cards on the first level. This game is going to be a non-stop infinite climax.

holy shit we're getting a sequel to bayonetta

This is how I feel as well. A few years ago I had accepted that Bayonetta would fade away as a cult classic. Now we're getting a sequel that somehow looks a thousand times better than the amazing first game (how is this even possible!?!) AND it's being published by a company who will treat the IP with care.

WHY DID I SCHEDULE A HAIR APPOINTMENT FOR THE SAME TIME AS THIS DIRECT

Get a beehive.

All these directs this month is making it less likely that Nintendo is planning on doing a large September event like they normally do. Sad stuff but I know bayonetta 2 won't disappoint

To be fair, we know what's coming for the rest of the year, except for clear releases dates. So we might not see a global Direct before January.

We could have said this last year, and yet Nintendo dropped that December one where Dr. Luigi and NES Remix showed up out of the blue.

Just woke up to this news! Well let's look at the schedu---

What the fuuuuuuu---

That's too early here! Guess I'll just sleep early tomorrow then to wake up earlier the next day...

I'm so torn on if I want to buy this game at launch. On the one hand, I liked the first game (and W101, too) and wish to support the devs. On the other, that month will be particularly tight with me money-wise... and I typically only play those types of games once (even though I know they are made for replayability). I also have a feeling it's going to be one of those games that will drop in price without too much waiting. I got W101 early this year for like $20. Just not sure yet.

I'm usually a big advocate of waiting for games to go on sale and whatnot, but with this one I preordered, something I never do. It's just as much to support Nintendo and the devs (which I want to do) as thinking that by the second or third printing of the game it probably won't come with Bayonetta 1 included. If that's an incentive for you, I'd buy it sooner rather than later.

I'm just realizing how torturous it's gonna be at midnight on the release date and just having to wait until the next day to pick up my physical copy. It'll be worth it but man will those 10 or so hours be hell.

Bayonetta 1 being included isn't really a big deal for me since I own the original, but that's still a very nice bonus. While I do think the game will be very fun, I'm mainly leaning toward buying it at launch to support the devs, but I'll have to see how my money situation is then, I guess.

I'm torn, I love Nintendo Directs and I love Bayonetta.

But I already know I want the game the less I see going in, the more surprises I'll get.

I'll be about ten minutes from home at 6. I need to print some stuff from the library so maybe I'll just stay there and watch the direct. Hopefully it's a half hour or less.

As for the game as soon as Bayonetta 1 was announced as being included I was getting it day 1. The only way that may not happen is if like the Wonderful 101 some deal from the two weeks after leaks. I waited two weeks after launch for W101 and was able to get it for $40 using Target's B2G1 sale.

I'll go and advice that great games need the best support it can get to fans. Of course if you tight on budget then that is okay. But for those you can afford, and especially those who wanted to see games like these flourish again the market, show the developers and the publishers by buying them at full retail. Not strictly just for Bayo 2, but for other great titles out there as well.

This is hella true, either way there will be surprises but seeing that wave freeze and her running across as the panther would have been sicker to see for the first time in game. I also can't wait to do some surfing.

This is SO GOOD. I feel like I'm experiencing the Digital Event all over again. :-D

These guys are really hype. They're just guys playing video games that so happen to film themselves doing it and they are into a ton of hype shit.

What's great about this is I know next to nothing about the Bayonetta series outside of vids and stuff. This'll be a fresh experience for me when I get my hands on it. :D

Also, Super Best Friends are very hype for this game indeed. xD

Nintendo Direct? Great. Just Bayonetta 2 and nothing else? :(

Will have to catch it afterwards. Have a fantasy football draft at that exact time.

Anyone hoping for Smash support, I think it is SUPER unlikely. As people are pointing out in the Smash thread, Bayonetta would have had to be in the ESRB review video, and she almost certainly would have moved the rating up to T instead of E10+.

MAYBE there could eventually be T-rated DLC for Bayonetta but I would guess not.
can't they get creative? Bayo has lots of costumes.

I'd pre-order her amiibo
Man, even that sounds like innuendo.

Her lips are more next-gen then actual next-gen lips.

Every time this song is linked I need to listen

It's too damn good

Bayonetta 2 with Bayonetta 1 is going to be the best value in gaming this year (2nd place goes to Metro Redux).

I feel like I've already seen too much of the game, but at the same time how can you possibly avoid watching this thing.

On the other hand they did nail the balance between hype and spoiler in the W101 Direct, hopefully it will be the case here too.
lol i disagree, the Wonderful 101 Direct had a lot of spoilers, i would recommend to not watch this if you want a fresh experience.
And Kamiya is NOT the director of Bayo 2 he always repeat that on Twitter :p, so i would not expect him to appear on this Direct.
