PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

People have their opinions. As long as it's not excessively fanboyish in nature, I see no reason for "vita hating" to be moderated.

constructive opinions that contribute to the discussion yes definitely! but idk some of the recent stuff I've seen... definitely blurs that line.

Is there a Vita game with more DLC than PS All Stars? I just wanted to check out how much the extra characters were and holy shit. It's just a giant list too. No way to sort to just find the character DLC.

On top of that, I've still yet to see a PS4 owner complaining about the PS3 holding back a PS4 multiplat game. Although I'm starting to think Persona 5 will start that debate.

There were. A lot, actually. You didn't visit any Destiny thread, right?

Giant list? They are only four DLC characters.....SS and SSD have giant list of free DLC's that isn't just accessory, game system's money or small items.....

I am sorry Vita GAF, for I have sinned.

On the battle between Danganronpa 2 against Ace Attorney vs. Layton, I chose the latter first.

But you have to understand, it's a Phoenix Wright game... by Shu Takumi himself... and it has Maya in it <333333333333333333

You made a bad call, son.

I bought both, and pick to play DR2 first. why? because I really need to know what the hell happened to Byakuya. Layton isn't going anywhere so I can play that later.

Man, I love NISA.
Here are all the games I bought from them in just this year alone

Just felt like posting :)

I had to double dip and buy the digital version of Under Defeat HD. I had no idea that it was so cheap. It's certainly not the best shoot 'em up ever made, but it's a really fun game. And for $2.69 it is well worth the asking price.

My Velocity 2X download is taking so long. Ugh. Although I'm sure queuing both PS4 and Vita versions at the same time didn't help.

Also, hi Vita GAF! Long time lurker, really looking forward to joining the community!

I think he mean how did he become a fatass, as you can see on the cover?

I'd love to see your face after chapter 1.
I'm not going to visit the DR2 OT, though. It's like walking to the minefield without any sign.

I'm torn between Velocity 2X (no I don't have PS+) and Super Time Force Ultra (Steam). Or maybe just saving the cash to put toward SK:SV when it comes out.

With almost a decade under development (and the costs that entails), I'd be surprised if FFXV doesn't come to PCs.
I hoping it does come to PC. But at the same time, I'm hoping it doesn't.
I may not want a PS4, but it would feel more right to play FF on a console than a PC (and I enjoyed playing VIII on steam even with the butchered music)

I'm pretty sure you know what I mean about that.

It's just best you ignore them. People's ridiculous opinions should not deter anyone from enjoying their handheld/console of choice.

I think he just means how he gotten so fat.
I mean, I'm sure everyone who first saw the him in the game wondered that.

I'm positive that's what he means. People just are too sensitive that they jumped to conclusion,
but further discussion will be a spoiler, even with this part, so let wrap it up here
. I'm not blaming them, though, as Danganronpa is the Game of Throne of anime world.

You're going to love all 1080p/60fps/superior version shit in FFXV thread if that happened. Just look at Dark Soul and Bloodborne thread.

DON'T YOU DARE CLICK ON THE SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN'T REACHED ATLEAST 3/4THS of the game!
Byakuya?
That fatass is an imposter. His real identity is unknown.
Also,
Everyone is in a program or so since all of you are supposedly friends / allied with Junko. And LOL Junko is in the game.

You made the right choice.

Hi Takao.

The mobile game Rise of Mana now has a Vita version.

I think it is safe to conclude that Vita is just a little more than a smartphone to Squeenix.

thanks for heads up

I don't care or indulge myself in the 1080p/60fps nonsense, but really, it should not occur for a game such as XV. Assuming a PC port doesn't get released, everyone should know by now which platform Square will put the most effort in.

At least Vita is something to Square Enix...

I obviously would like more, but Square Enix tries with their phone games. Chaos Rings and Rise of Mana aren't Dragon's Dogma Quest-tier.

I recently bought a PS Vita 1000 (My god, the screen is beautiful) and am new to this PSN thing. I've got an american $20 PSN card, but I'm in Canada, and there is apparently region locking on the cards. Is there anything I can do to get the funds on my Canadian account?

Welcome to VitaGAF.

The best option you've got is to try make a trade with someone for a $20 Canadian PSN card. There's nothing else to do unless you decide to make an American PSN account, but you can't transfer funds from different PSN regions.

I don't think other want to care either, but you'll see it pop up all the time, like those PC port begging post for every big console game ever announced.

Thanks. What are the advantages (other than having access to the US store) of having an american account? What are the disadvantages? Would I need a second memory card for the second account, and, I assume, the account would be completely separate from my Canadian one?

Damn. The Atelier vita games are on sale now at prices low enough for me to want to find out what the thing is about. Which game should I pick up if I'm grabbing just one?
I haven't played them yet (bought them on this sale, too), so I don't know how much the story between them connects, but they were originally released in the order of Rorona, Totori, Meruru so if you only buy one I would just pick Rorona first.

Finally finished downloading Danganronpa. What can I expect? Also, quite surprised I've chewed through the SSD content so quickly. I'm almost to the end of the original story, and then I can go back and finish all the Guild pacts for Avalon, Grim, and Sanctuarium.

I'm in the AU, but generally speaking if you wanted to effectively utilise another account on your Vita you'd need a separate memory card and reset the Vita every time you wanted to switch accounts.

I'm not exactly privy to the differences between an American and Canadian PSN account, but AFAIK the difference is primarily in pricing. Therefore for you specifically I wouldn't bother creating an American account in this instance.

There are a lot of American PSN users here, maybe they wouldn't mind purchasing a Canadian PSN card to swap with yours?

Edit:
Finally finished downloading Danganronpa. What can I expect?
Expect an absurd and outrageous plot that doesn't attempt to 'ground' the theatrics in any semblance of reality. Go along for the ride, don't worry about attempting to 'social link' characters too much since you'll have another opportunity after the story is over.

About halfway through Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate Vita. This game got a bad rap, yes it can be confusing sometimes but it's pretty damn fun. I'd recommend it for a cheap price like I got it on psn sale before.

You can also trade someone in the US for a game code.

Game codes issued in the US and Canada are interchangable as long as the game is available in both regions ;)
