UPDATE: I've done everything you have said to do and I'm currently stuck on Amazon.com whilst it's trying to pay for my code. It's just endlessly processing the order and not confirming. So not sure what I'm doing wrong?! :S I don't want to cancel it in case I bugger up the order and get charged and not get any code :/
First digital purchase sometimes takes a while. Just leave it on that screen and eventually it will say it needs to do additional checks. My first purchase took about 5 hours and after that, the rest were instant.
Have any eurogaffers bought destiny from the US store? Im worried it might be tied to my US account meaning id be unable to play it on my Euro account.
I know it normally works but worried destiny may be different being an online only game.

Well you won't get definitive answers because it isn't out yet.
Though it's worth noting NBA 2k14 was technically online only on PS4 and I had no issues playing that on my UK account. Battlefield 4 and Marvel Heroes both worked too not that they were online only. The only issues I would foresee would be region locking of servers but I don't know how they could even pull that off with how PSN works.As others have said - just wait in that screen - its been so long I dont remember if my first purchase took a while but they do go through quickly now.
I have pre-ordered it from Amazon themselves (digitally - originally done so I could get quick access to the Beta) - the Beta access worked fine for me on my UK account and I dont see any reason for the main game to be any different - however if its something you are really concerned with them wait until launch day and I (or others) can confirm for you.
It'll be fine. I play TLoU online all the time and that's a US version. That is the whole point of a primary console.

What exactly did you buy from Amazon? PSN vouchers or did you preorder Destiny digitally directly from them?
I buy US PSN cards fairly often from Amazon.com and it's hit and miss whether you get the code straight away or have to wait. Last week I waited over an hour for them to process one of my card orders whereas I placed another card order straight after the first order and that went through in 5 mins.

I used amazon.com to buy diablo 3. Found out afterwards that play-Asia.com offer the same service. As far as I can tell you only need your US psn account details and can pay via paypal. Has anyone used play-Asia for their US store purchases and does it work?

I ordered the Digital Guardian Edition, dont expect any issues have bought BF4 and Diablo US versions and they work fine on my UK account.

I bought a psn card. It gave me the code so it all worked out. Just strange that it said my code was unsuccessful lol.

I get codes literally at the end of the checkout process, it's just displayed on the order confirmation screen. Weird you'd be made to wait even five minutes!
Definitely call them and find out what's going on man, don't trust these people.

Definitely worth doing, especially as Tesco Boost is going until the 8th (iirc). Shame the £15 off code expired, but if you can get £20 off (I'll be shooting for the LE) then why the heck not!

FYI I've generally bought the game codes directly from Amazon.com in the past (rather than the extra step to buy / load credit / buy from the PSN store) as there was no real advantage to doing it any other way - however with Diablo III the PSN version allowed 'pre-downloading' which was not available for anyone who bought directly from Amazon.
So if i bought PSN 'cash' and then purchased from the PSN store I could have started the massive download a day earlier , and I would imagine that Destiny will be the same.
So unless Amazon have an offer for a cheaper version (which they sometimes do) then your going to be better just getting PSN cash from there and then buying it directly on the US PSN store and getting your download started early.

Part me has an eerie feeling that Standard will be RRP £40 with special having RRP £50 (at the same time it could be like Pokemon where the RRP for both versions is the same). We will see after the direct for sure and it costs nothing to cancel.

Nintendo.com is the American site. Comes with the special edition is what Europe has been saying all the while. Like I said before the 5th will clear everything up but it could get messy and really...it is NOEs fault for not give more info about the SKUs to retailers.

Japanese one from Nippon yasan is generally your best best. Bit inconvenient waiting for it to arrive (its not too long).
I bought 2 white ones from nippon-yasan, but atm they are out of stock. They are quite cheap there. Around 24EUR or so.
Nice one, cheers guys. I've set up stock alert e-mails on both the Black and White ones. Not in a huge rush so don't mind waiting a bit for that price.

I ordered from them, a pro controller and it arrived after a week. Funny thing was with the tracking they give you, it took 30 hours to arrive from Japan, yet it took about 4 days to get here via Royal Mail.
I couldn't see it either so I just added a card to pay.
