If I get MGS(1) on the German PSN store, will it be the original German release? Because I already have that on disc. It only features terrible German voice acting with no alternative language options. I want full English text/VO.
I think you're going to be out of luck. Unless I've heard differently you're going to have to change your region if you want to purchase MGS1 in full English VO.
Edit: Buy Half-Minute Hero, Virtues Last Reward, Danganronpa 1 while they're on sale, and buy Danganronpa 2!

Damn, I'm getting so confused with the August/Sept threads being open at the same time. lol Totally my fault for not looking closer at the thread titles. Anyways, I'm only 5 hours into Danganronpa 2...welp. This shit is brutal. Starting to wonder why I like these games. It's like masochism.
I think I realized why the premiere indie game releases are creeping back up to $20 this last couple months... it's so that, when a PS+ subscriber is looking at the store, the discount seems more significant to them when it's only discounted to what the normal price would have been before. Then, when it's free, damn.... they just saved nearly $20! And pricing what's going to be free to most customers at a higher "normal" price, makes the title seem better and therefore, not just some crappy game they gave away.
tl;dr non-PS+ subscribers who buy games day 1 get gouged for marketing purposes. I have a $55 cart that probably would have been $40 last year. Going to wait until I get my $10 back from the last promo to buy this week's releases.
My PS+ subscription ends tomorrow and I checked my games for when it ended, most of them had a counter but Don't Starve (Vita version) doesn't have a counter, it just shows information like normal games. Does this mean it'll be playable even if PS+ ends? And is the Rein of Giants DLC included? Whenever I start a new game it says Reign of Giants has been enabled.

The Vita version of Don't Starve has the DLC expansion included alongside the original game and can be toggled on or off whenever you start a new game.

Maybe Most Ps+ cross buy games have that "issue". You get something via plus, get the other version for free. That free version count as a normal purchase and you keep both forever.
That's what happened to me when I got J&D Collection on Ps3. So there is that. If this had happened to more people and different games I'd be nice to confirm it.
Today, on my lunch break, I was enjoying some Velocity 2x while in our designated smoking area. I overhear two middle aged moms at my table, one talking about how her daughter wants an Xbox One for Christamas. After a little bit, I overhear one say: "Well that's a neat little handheld game there..." referencing the glory that is Vita. I told them what it is, and just a scratch of what it features and what it can do. I even brought in the "downsides", with the memory card pricing woes, and lack of first party support, which they totally understood, and didn't seem phased by it. Their ultimate response, though?
"Wow, I never even knew something like that existed!"
I laughed, agreed with them, briefly told them Sony does a piss poor job of advertising, and continued talking to the moms about games. Turns out they were pretty knowledgable about games, with one saying she loved the PS2, thinks it was the greatest console yet, and the other lamenting her boyfriends need to own all PS systems, but barely plays on the PS4. One even knew a ton about the PSP, and went on to say that the 3ds was too lame for their daughter. Responding to that, I laughed, mentioned both have great games, but Vita is where it's at!
From there, I turn the conversation to the PS4, bringing the Vita back into the mix, and talking to them about it, and all the glory that comes with owning both. Games, system capabilities, upcoming features, and more. The conversation started to steer back to the XOne, and at that point I started to go an area one of the moms mentioned - how the games take over the tv..
"Not with remote play!" I say, and both seemed to really dig it. We talked for a while more, and when they left they both thanked me for the info on it all, and for the conversation.
In summary, I believe I sold a Vita, and also a PS4 with a Vita to two moms. Not now they were mentioning Black Friday, but that is right around the corner, with even more savings. It feels good. Let's go get them bugs! I mean, go Vita!
Sorry, had to work in another Starship Troopers reference.

Figures, I'll just ask for it as a B-day present or something. I just didn't want to spend the money, and then find out I needed another book for class...

Just tried picking up Deadly Premonition Gold as it seems some of the RSG sale is now up in the EU but just getting "You are not eligible to buy or download this content." Guess the sale isn't really up yet...
So far, yes. I wonder if there's some P4 voice actors in there, though. I think I recognised Chie (as Ultimate Fashionista, I wanna say?)? And probably this isn't true but I like to think Monokuma is voiced by the same guy who did Teddy, lol.

I can confirm that PSOne games are the exact same version that was originally released in your territory back in the day. If MGS was released fully dubbed and translated to German, then the PSN version will also be completely in German.
I know, it sucks. I got FFIX and have to play it in Spanish... or, well, delete it and forget I ever bought it in the first place.
Edit: Oh, and, yeah: it's the fucking PAL 50 Hz version of the game. Honestly, you're better off not buying any EU PSOne Classic.
Sadly nope...if you don't show certain friends online that you know are indeed online...I'd say sign off for a few minutes and sign back in. It's very annoying. Tons of games aren't built for 100+ friends, either. I know Hot Shots Vita crashes everytime I scroll through my friends list to send turn based challenges. GTA:Online rarely shows my friends online, but I can see them in the crew status. I had read before that the system would load appropraite friends based off games, iirc, but I doubt that is working as intended..
When I first played the demo on PS3, I was looking for a Trials like game since I didn't want to hook up my 360. I was immediately turned off by it, and deleted it. Now that I have more time with it, I'm with you. I am really liking it, despite some graphical inconsistencies. Like Trials crossed with Tony Hawk, almost. Ripe with content, too, with the "training" mode, career, and course builder.

Well, the Spyro PS1 games are the US versions, and ironically they only work on Vita in Europe. So that's something worth keeping an eye on.
That and Resident Evil 2 and 3 is all that's worth something on the European side of the PSOne classics.
