Yes, but it also takes away the surprise if you say 50+
as soon as SSB4 launches i'm going to make a ridley scott mii fighter and PM you awkward miiverse screenshots of him non-stop out of spiteneat title
mine was going to be "Ridley will never be a playable character"
Other M should really never be mentioned or referenced again, aside from the suit I suppose.
And Anthony is such a generic character anyway.
That's one way you can interpret it.They said at E3 they were planning new 2D and 3D Metroid titles, so probably not!
original articleSo it has been a while since we released the last one and we're having discussions internally about what we can do next. So at this point we have two different types of Metroid games. We have the Prime style of Metroid game and we have the more traditional style of Metroid game. We feel that we do need to take care of both of these styles of play. And the hope is that at some point in the near future we'll be able to share something about them.
Machamp is iconic
No shutup, that's just silly. Machamp's most famous role was being the rare holo in the very first constructed TCG deck
They said they're continuing the series.A large part of me thinks that Other M might be the last Metroid game ever.
;~;
Just had an interesting debate that turned into an argument for no reason with somebody regarding competitive tournament play and the new Smash. It got me curious so I figured I'd get a response from smashGAF.
Am I the only one that seems confident that Smash 3DS will not be supported at major/high-level tournaments once the Wii U version comes out? Heck, am I alone in thinking it won't even be majorly supported before the Wii U version comes out?
My main point revolved around the fact that competitive players actively avoid using non-crt monitors and wireless controllers due to potential lag/latency, and having a handheld device that requires wireless LAN to play wouldn't jive with that. I also mentioned that handheld games aren't as easy to spectate without incredibly expensive equipment.
Am I crazy, have I lost my mind? I thought this was a generally understood and universally agreed thing.
But they still count as one slot together. Pokemon trainer was made up of 3 characters and still counted as one slot
When?
They said they're continuing the series.
Miyamoto explicitly said "I like Prime. I think there's still a lot of new things that could be done with the Prime series."
EDIT: Beaten like Ridley.

This just seems a little ridiculous to me. I doubt Nintendo's marketing division is going to alter the wording in a commercial simply to conceal ambiguous information about the game from a select group of hardcore fans.
The intended audience for commercials such as this likely couldn't name more than 3 newcomers in the game. They wouldn't understand the significance "more than 50 characters", because they couldn't name more than a dozen.
Wait what... No Ice Climbers?![]()
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBXddbXQaXE
So the commercial released and this one says "over 40 characters". If there really was more characters to the roster to make it 54 characters wouldn't it just be nicer to say over 50 characters? Cause you know more is better is a big thing when you market something etc etc
I think we saw the final roster
But they still count as one slot together. Pokemon trainer was made up of 3 characters and still counted as one slot
They did that so when they reveal the 5 missing characters that will be Day One on Wii U and free DLC for 3DS, they can advertise the U version saying "over 50 characters"!
I want to believe
I find it more telling Miyamoto seems to skirt around Other M's entire existence in that quote.idk that last line is pretty telling
Prime 4 and Dread confirmed
Hey, I would too, to be fair.I find it more telling Miyamoto seems to skirt around Other M's entire existence in that quote.

DKC2 and 3 are old games only grandpas have played.Sakurai considers Brawl to have 39 characters, which means that Sakurai doesn't count slots w/ multiple forms to be simply one character.
Also Pokken Fighters ain't shit, that's literally the most important thing Machamp's ever been in since Gen 1 and Pokken Fighters can't fight DKC2 and 3
Nintendo is quite conscious about badly received/selling games. Other M did not do well, and I'm sure Miyamoto recognizes that as well as anyone.
And thats why Miyamoto is still one of the best in the industryI find it more telling Miyamoto seems to skirt around Other M's entire existence in that quote.
what kind of seeds have a name that has "egg" in itMost people think Exeggcute is a bunch of eggs when they are actually seeds. No one makes that kind of mistake with Dixie, no one thinks she is a giraffe! If you can't even get the type of object they are meant to be right then they have no chance.

Miyamoto lumping GX/AX in with stupid shit like Adventures and Assault when he was talking about how outsourcing certain properties during the GCN era didn't work out was infuriating.also see: GX bombing and the corpse of F-Zero

DKC3 son. Dixie Kong's Double Trouble. Like EA it's in the name. And then we have DKL3.
You are arguing for all 151 Pokémon, most of whom people have long forgotten vs a character who not only has their own leading roles but has just had a well received recent game that they've starred if.
It's a silly argument and there's really no point in continuing because no matter how many words you type, they'll all be wrong. That's not an opinion, that is logically deduced fact.
Dark Samus being a clone of Samus, Jody being a clone of Falcon, and, more importantly, Mona being a clone of Wario makes no damn sense to me.
It had nice music and a few neat story ideas that didn't really translate to interesting gameplay. I have no clue after the backlash to stapling the SF licence onto Dinosaur Planet how Nintendo kept insisting for another two games that people didn't really want arcade, bullet-shooter style action in SF.Hey now, I like Assault....'s multiplayer.
If I have to use google just to tell what the fuck I'm even looking at in Pokemon then I refute the claim the original 151 all more iconic than someone who already has several million-selling games in her name.Literally all of the original 151 Pokemon are more "iconic" than Dixie Kong
And Mona is easy to do if you put your mind to it.
B? Just replace the Chomp with something to trap the opponents!
Down B? Mona drops a Wario Bomb explosion that sends her upward!
Side B? This is easy, her scooter!

No, this is all not only reasonable it's what's going to happen.
Large-scale tournaments with lots of matches going on simultaneously in early rounds will not be doable with wireless multiplayer. There's a reason why wired controllers are the standard for fighting games, and it's not just latency, it's interference. Too many wireless devices of a similar nature doing things at the same time are going to mess eachother up.
Also there's a big difference between "bring your own controller" and "bring your own 3DS system", especially since homebrew stuff is supposedly starting to happen. I'm not saying anyone would do so, but having people provide their own systems with their own copy of the game increases the chance of them cheating in some way by quite a bit.
Combine that with the fact that only hard-wired 3DS units set up SPECIFICALLY for footage capture can be used to capture footage of the game, and you've got the least tournament friendly setup possible.
Wii U version will be fine for tournaments. 3DS version is going to be great for playing on the go, for playing online, and for playing locally with friends. It might even be good practice for the Wii U version! But it will not be tournament-friendly. Like, ever.
People have forgotten the original 151 Pokemon? LMAO Um... no, I hope you're joking, but in case you aren't: Leading a role doesn't make you more iconic than the members of a game that has become a huge part of pop-culture. So stop dictating your opinion as fact.

Sorry, meant to note Samus as a semi-clone.
Jody makes perfect sense though
And Mona is easy to do if you put your mind to it.

Don't ask me. These are the same people who didn't advertise their high production value justification for the Wiimote.i don't know what the fuck happened with f-zero
like in 2002 nintendo was like "the kids love the falcon punch in the super smash brothers we should capitalize on that" and then they released a gamecube game, an arcade game, 2 gba games, and an anime within a year and a half span
like in what world is that a good idea
