Lol why do people think Smash is some sort of popularity contest? The second game featured Ice Climbers, Mr Game and Watch, and fucking Roy, a character from a game that hadn't even been released anywhere yet. Why would the fourth game randomly care about if some people remember some random Pokemon from the anime?

This is not a serious anwser: Charizard

You're right. It's just, earlier we were all discussing most iconic Nintendo characters not included in Smash.

Replace Mach Rider with Chorus Kids and there you go. That's the only choice I don't really agree with.

Swap Dixie out with Ice Climbers too. DK's great, but it's not getting 4 reps.

Anyways, if we're talking about who's iconic to old people, than Dr. Mario is the most hyped veteran and will be everyone's main.

Not when Phaaze & Sanctuary Fortress exist.

I really hope one day a Smash game is made with a Metroid level that capitalizes on more than "filled with lava/acid".

The Donkey Kong level is lava-based and the Metroid level is jungle-based.

I feel like Mario Kart's rising popularity is more responsible for the lack of F-Zero than anything else, not that Nintendo hasn't had multiple franchises in the same genre but I feel that the two are connected.

Not only that, but I want someone to realize that Metroid's universe is filled with some great organic environments and alien worlds, and it's not all just some boring industrial setting.

Pretty sure F-zero's unpopularity is the reason and Mario Kart has nothing to do with it

- No Ice Climbers
- No Snake
- [Almost] Every other god/goddess/top commander in Uprising > Dark Pit
- No Takamaru

It'd be pretty damn good objectively, but it's not my perfect yet. :P

This is always really interesting to see in every Smash community. After following Brawl and Smash 4, I believe more so than ever that Sakurai does what the fuck he wants and you better pray his whims line up with your wants.

Mario Kart had been more popular and heavily outselling the F-Zero franchise ever since its inception. The best-selling F-Zero game was the SNES one (which sold about 1 million copies world wide), and the sales for the series have been declining since then, whereas Super Mario Kart has almost 9 million sales, and Mario Kart 64 sold around 10 million units.

F-Zero's drop has nothing to do with Mario Kart, even though Mario Kart is making references to F-Zero.

I would love a Sanctuary Fortress Level would be amazing, have it switch between light and dark and adjusts the layout slightly.

How cool would a stage be on the Wii U that uses the game pad camera and retrofies it into gameboy camera style that shows up all black and white and pixelated, or maybe if it would let you texturize the assets with them in the create a stage part

People still think Sukapon has a chance?

Although maybe Sakurai will give him a Trophy...

People have forgotten the original 151 Pokemon? LMAO Um... no, I hope you're joking, but in case you aren't: Leading a role doesn't make you more iconic than the members of a game that has become a huge part of pop-culture. So stop dictating your opinion as fact.

Either way, this a silly argument guys. Why argue if the OG 151 is more popular than Dixie? Smash will eventually get Dixie as a character anyway. I'm almost positive she'll be DLC.

Where are

Ice Climbers
Rhythm Heaven rep
Tingle
Impa
Captain Syrup
Isabelle
Snake
Andy
Squirtle
Ivysaur

You've got room for at least four characters. Throw RH rep, Ice Climbers, Andy, and Isabelle into it!

Don't introduce more clones, cut that in half and only half newcomers and veterans.

I don't get that :v so you would prefer 12 characters instead of 24?
