Apparently "stepping on jordans in the hood" is a great prank idea

I want to first apologize on behalf of all white people.

props on getting your ass mashed for views I guess?

"Prank"

The "I'm filming it so it's a prank" trend needs to die, before someone does get seriously hurt.

Many, if not all, of these 'prank' videos are fake.

If it were to have happened for real I would expect more than a few fists. I would have expected a stabbing or a shooting, as I have seen them happen over shoes.

wtf is the point of these now? cred = asskicked

"It was a joke so stop beating me man ah ah what did I do to deserve this"

Honestly there's doing a prank and there's just being an asshole.

The ones where they go up and say "how much were they? Mind if I step on them?" make them look like massive assholes.

I mean, they are massive assholes, but that is the worst example.

Yeah man, I think damaging other people's things is a hilarious prank.

I think I'm gonna stroll down the street and key some cars. CAN YOU IMAGINE THE REACTIONS XDDDD

This seems like a good way to get yourself beat up or worse.

Also, these 'pranks' aren't pranks, they're just acting like dicks.

These videos are fake, and these people also don't seem to understand what a prank is. A prank would be setting his Jordans on fire only to later reveal they were fake Jordans and his real Jordans are safe and sound. "OK BRO YOU GOT ME!". Stepping on someone's shoes is not a prank.

Huh. I don't see the controversy with the word "prank"

"a practical joke or mischievous act"

mischievous

"causing or intended to cause harm or trouble"

There is nothing clever about it. It's just "I'm going to act disrespectfully to someone lets see if it upsets them". It's also borderline racist that they always go to "the hood" to film these things. WTF is up with that?

No, it's the best because it shows how dumbasses react to getting their fucking shoes stepped on.

They're shoes, for fucks sake. A pair of fucking shoes. Wipe them off, get over it, go on with your day.

Ugh... I find it stupid that people get on a fight because "yo! You stepped on my Jordans!"

So if someone came up to you, asking you "hey do you mind if I step on your shoes", you say no and they do it anyway not provoking?

It's more about the complete disrespect that a stranger would have for you and your property. Especially when they sometimes say it beforehand. It's a taunt at that point.

"I recognize you've spent a lot of money on something you care about. I'm going to shit all over that."

I wouldn't care. Just so long as they don't break my toes or smear some nasty foul smelling gunk on them, I would be mildly irritated at worst. Because I realize that getting into a fight over fucking sneakers is pretty high up there on the 'dumb shit to fight about' list.

It has nothing to do with shoes it's just disrespect. They have other videos that have nothing to do with shoes that end in the same way. Why go around fucking with people for no reason?
