PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

Haha damn, I kinda regret setting both to Mean now. The mini games in DR1 weren't that hard for me even on Mean difficulty, these are a bit more difficult I guess? Is it the same as DR1 where you can change the difficulty after clearing a Chapter?

I've only finished the first case in DR2 but I found it pretty easy even on the highest difficulties. The only thing I struggled with was the dumb rhythm game and one piece of testimony. IMO you should go for the highest difficulties on both settings. That's what I did

If you have none of the games in the RSG's Magnificent Seven bundle I think the 70% off discount price is a pretty solid offer all things considered.

Harvest Moon: Hero of Leaf Valley
Harvest Moon: Innocent Life
Half Minute Hero
Blazing Souls Accelate
Valhalla Knights Trilogy

Edit:
I bought the Vita sku back in april, I guess I'm screwed. Nice
...what? It is cross-buy, you get all versions of the game regardless.
Just so it's clear in case you haven't checked again, but if you've bought OlliOlli on Vita from the moment of release (as I did) and it is in your purchase history you should be able to purchase the bundle (which contains the PS3, PS4, and Vita versions of the game) for free. If it isn't showing up for you contact support.

How long does it take for a package to arrive from Super UFO? How long does it take for them to ship things?

I ordered my 64GB on Friday (Hong Kong time) and according to the USPS website the last event was "Processed Through Sort Facility" early this morning. Though I'm not sure if that's my time or Hong Kong time. From what I've read it generally takes 6-10 days to arrive

Yes, if you enjoy a pretty looking game on the PS4 and superpowers. No, if you're looking for a great story or uninteresting repetitive side missions.

So are the side missions good or bad?
Your saying the side missions are interesting but I think you mean they are not.

I was watching season 1 of Banshee the other day and saw a Vita... The vita is so good it gave the kid an athsma attack!

That's 2 TV spots I've seen the vita in now: Banshee and House of Cards.

Hmmm.. *strokes chin*

How about the DLC? Is it any better or just more of the same?

I haven't played the DLC but reading from impressions, say its more focused, with only one power and all, and the story is actually pretty interesting. Its rather short though.

Oops, meant to say the side missions are uninteresting, as in, all the of em are basically finding hidden enemies/cameras and take out either drug dealers or street performers. Nothing memorable ever comes up aside from the Paper Trail missions.

HOLY BALLS

Oh lord...it's Mukago.

I've played some of the Xboxlive Indie games this guy has made.

SHIT: http://xblaratings.com/xblig-list/66-shooter/3214-leucistic-wyvern

based on his yt page that first game is getting a psm release too

kind of wish the people doing personal homebrew ports of games to psm would release them for a day since it doesn't look like sce is attempting to police that service

It's on the show Supernatural as well; two kids are playing them and come across a dead body.

Just got done with Chapter 2 of DR1. HOLY. CRAP. This game has me jumping out of my seat at every twist and revelation. Did NOT see that one coming at all.

Wait 'til you see what's next.

:lol
Chapter 2 spoilers for DR1
Togami is such a dick, right? Fucking with the crime scene because he's bored of all things. Was that the part you didn't see coming or was it Chihiro being a dude?

Ok thanks. I'm still on the fence. If I grab this and destiny then that's $100 gone like that.

Meanwhile I just finished chapter 1 of Danganronpa 1 and although I think I'll enjoy it I'm glad someone said to push through the first chapter, it was super obvious from the moment you find a certain clue
the numbers that obviously weren't numbers
and then you had to go through a bunch of tutorials for mini games it seemed a bit convoluted. I did like the twist in that chapter though.
I was glad when Sayaka died I found her annoying but cool that she was setting me up. That bitch! now I'm doubly glad it backfired on her.

Just tried Don't Starve with absolutely no idea what the game is or what to do before hand.

Not starving is the least of my issues.

Have they fixed the Rising Star sale yet?
Last time I checked curry had a whopping 0% discount
Yep all good now! 68% off for AU.

What's it like? Kinda tempted to grab it too :)

Now it is :O

I swear that yesterday it was still priced

Luckily you made me check again, thanks

Heh, those cross-buy bundles always seem to be glitchy on the store, sometimes they are proper free and other times they revert. Friggin annoying!

Hmm Sorcery Saga Curse of the Curry God is only $15 here in AU.

Anyone recommend it?

I'm buying Danganronpa 1 due to all you hype artists in here >_<

For $15, I'd say it's worth it. It's a pretty cute game, and pretty unforgiving. You'll die if you don't pay attention for a moment. Your level always start at 1 when you start a dungeon, and if you die, everything you obtain inside that dungeon will be lost, forever.
Beware, it has framerate issue quite often.

Such....despair.

Only in despair, hope arises.

Throughout the game, it really does changes my perceptions towards several people. I started to love people I always thought I'll avoid.

I haven't touched my Vita in a very long time, so I've got lots of PS+ freebies to catch up to. I was under the impression that the Vita continues downloading after going into sleep mode (either by pressing the lock button or automatically via power-saving) however that doesn't seem case as every time I'm bringing it out of sleep and notice all my downloads are paused. What am I doing wrong?

nothing

Speaking of PlayStation Mobile, looks like they accidently updated the store page with banners for games that aren't actually out yet. A lot of games. So... next week?

- Jaggy Race!
- Spinning Squares
- Breakout
- Rainboxplosion
- Drop Baby
- Mugogy Jump
- Shooter Speed
- Fruit Space
- DodgeCube

And three other images that don't have titles. One of them looks like another 'Trolly Bird'.

Thanks for the details, sounds worth a shot!

You can usually circumvent this problem by playing a blank mp3 file on loop. You can then enter sleep mode manually and the downloads should continue.

Where is this bundle you speak of? Followup question: is Hero of Leaf Valley Vita compatible?

If you want your downloads to continue during sleep, do this;
  • let your Vita fall asleep, do not hit the power button to force sleep
  • leave the notifications window up with the download progress bar running
That's how I've always done it, and all my downloads work fine during sleep.

The first trial in DR2 has literally floored me with how long and complex it is, especially in comparison to the first trial in DR1. It pretty much compares with any of the mid-game trials from the first game for length so far.

w-what?! im trying this

How do you change the difficulty in Danganronpa? I went medium settings before the game started but now I'm reading that I should have picked the hardest difficulty. Am I screwed?

You need to do it between chapters (with chapter select instead of continue). Either get to the end of the chapter you're on or restart the chapter.
