Really loved that tweet D'Ron made about custom specials being a good thing for competitive Smash. Based on what I've seen/heard of him, he seems like a really cool guy with a positive attitude. It's people like him that prevent me from completely giving up on the competitive Smash community. 
(Just so you all know I pay attention to the good stuff coming out of the community too!)

I feel like Sakurai saw DDD and Falco's chain grabs in Brawl and SWORE to never let such a thing happen again. Grabs leading into... follow up attacks? Grabs leading into another grab? Never. Enjoy your throws that have too much knock back to lead into combos but not nearly enough knock back to actually be a kill move.
Kirby's up throw kills at around 80%, so maybe not all hope is lost, at least for some of the stronger throws

I'm not saying I want a wallpaper with Uncle Jesse and Little Mac in there together, but I'm also not not saying that.
Because moves get weaker the more you use them, I guess you have to save Kirby's throw to kill with it. I don't know if moves become stronger fast enough to un-weaken them before a match ends.
About the first paragraph, I am REALLY glad if that's the case. I hated any sort of Ice Climbers / DDD chain grabs, no matter how difficult they were to pull off, unless there's a way to readily get out of it.

I thought I was the only one who wanted Marina! Damn, that was a good game. I keep forgetting if Nintendo, Treasure, or Enix ended up with the rights, but whoever has them should make a sequel. And if we can get Marina in Smash as a grappler, that'd be perfect.

Some of the classic combo setup grabs have been nerfed, but it's not a global thing. One of Luigi's throws goes nowhere.
