That didn't stop Lucas from getting PK Fire, PK Freeze, and... his entire moveset was stolen from Kumatora. I don't think it really matters. People are just pissed that Sakurai decided to go with Dark Pit when Dark Samus and Dixie Kong would have been perfectly viable clones instead.

Let's see how differentiated Dark Pit will be, because Dixie would need a reworking of many of Diddy's animations to eliminate his tail in anything where it's relevant. Dixie without hair attacks also would be really odd. If Dark Pit is mostly a straight rip of Pit with some tweaks, no way Dixie could have replaced him without requiring more resources and time.

You cannot use Samus as animation basis for Dark Samus. You cannot use Dr. Mario for a skeleton basis of Ridley.
On the other hand, Dark Samus could be done. Dark Samus easily could use Samus' skeleton and have modified versions of her attacks. Yes, it'd be a waste of potential and miss a lot of what makes her unique in her games, but we already have a character like that - see Ganondorf. In fact, Samus' moveset would still fit Dark Samus better than Captain Falcon's fit Ganondorf.

I'm already buying 3 copies though :( (one for me, one for my fiance, and Wii U)

She may need both digital and physical copies for the game to handle it all.

I'm definitely double dipping but if the double pack does come here, I'm buying it too, not sure why, but I'm buying it :lol
And of course, buying the WiiU version.

Why on Earth would you want another Ganondorf situation?

WOW. That's an incredibly baseless, out-of-nowhere assumption if I've ever seen one. You have no idea what I value; you've never even met me, let alone talked to me much on NeoGAF. Stages are in fact very important to me (especially being someone who doesn't turn off or "ban" any), and I in fact share in your disappointment. But "unforgivable?" Hardly!
I'm intentionally hyperbolic, it's how I post. If the specific wording really bothers you that much, then replace "unforgivable" with "incredibly disappointing." And I would much rather be loud and hyperbolic than my point to not come across to those that it should. I would certainly hope Nintendo gets the message that the stage roster is pretty bad, and we know NoA at least reads this topic. Smash Bros. comes out once a generation, and if this is the price to be paid for having two Smash Bros. at once, then it's a price I'm not okay with and would rather it be avoided in the future.

Well, I liked Ganondorf's addition back in Melee. The real problem is Brawl and now SSB4 apparently not adding a new version of Ganondorf or any other Zelda newcomer. If we at least had a Ganon character, or even Demise, I'd think there'd be a lot less pressure to "fix" Ganondorf.

Tool-assisted. It's not modded, it's just programmed beforehand so everything's timed perfectly. It's technically doable, but no human's gonna be doing it.

It's also modded. Using the "Super" Fox and Falco hacks where they can cancel out of animations immediately.

They break up in to teams for things

The idea is that people can meet AKB48 members so they keep expanding to have more shows in different places.

They're also the best example of how awful idol culture in Japan is. People become obsessed with them. The more popular ones are not allowed to have any social lives. One was seen with a man once in public and had to issue a crying video apology where she shaved her head as penance because so much of the audience was angry.

jesus. there's still great artists in the jp music industry though. i've had the pleasure to meet some here in LA when they tour.

They only show up with customizations on, seem to have no default move set and maybe body type, and seem to be exclusively tied to equipments.

Being tied to equipment is true, that could be a problem.
However, I don't think showing up only while customs are on is a problem.

Different menu according to leak

Maybe it can be like how you can adjust specific control schemes to a name, same way with your Miis. People already work with that, so shouldn't be too much of a problem

The way it works is apparently it replaces the random icon when you have customs on. Which makes sense-because with customs on, you'll have custom moves and equipment, so a random would have to include all that.

Although I agree that it's awful, your wording makes it sound like all Japanese idols are not allowed to date. This is just an AKB48 (and other spinoff '48' groups) phenomenon.

It's the same with Hello! Project Idols.

Also Minegishi wasn't forced to shave her head, she did this on her own.

A lot of the time you allegedly have contracts allowing management to pick your dates for you in the West. I'd bet money Zach Efron and Vanessa Hudgens was a contract relationship. We know Lance Bass and other gay boy band memebers have been forced into 'dating' women to keep up appearances. And then there's alleged professional beard, Taylor Swift.

There you go.

It's the same with Hello! Project Idols.

Also Minegishi wasn't forced to shave her head, she did this on her own.

My bad, I'm not super-kuwashii about all this ^_−☆

I think my point still stands though that one should be careful to attribute these phenomena as a result of Japan being weird (not saying that you did this, ShockingAlberto).

On topic, I'm very excited.
