It's definitely not.
That's honestly my main worry at the moment. I don't know about anyone else but I didn't like how people lived so long in Brawl as-is. :/
I really don't get why the blast zones are so large.

For those wondering what unique abilities Dark Samus could use, here are two of her boss fights.
Prime 2 Elevator Hard Mode
Prime 3 Hypermode
Congrats!
Man, I was really hoping Ike at least got a recovery buff.
Also NoA needs to throw a demo up on Japan's launch day.
You are way off better if you just ignore people.
People always made the thread worst by shitting on the characters or clone characters, actively wanting characters to get cut, actively wanting replacing the characters, blaming everything on Sakurai due to biases, and many more.
They are living evidences of Kubler-Ross Model.
Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with anyone grieving over their characters being cut but if you are going to blame on developer or actively want other characters to cut. It's really tiresome. It's possible that we could have got those characters back through Smash Expansion or DLC. Just keep yourself optimistic and hope for the best.
So nothing on Ike besides 'feels unchanged'? BAH!

So now that Zipso is done for the day, and presuming his impressions are accurate are you:
A) Really Hyped: (largely as a result of game mechanic improvements/detail of characters)
B) More Hyped: (mechanics may not be what you want, but character detail sounds great)
C) Same Hype Level (jury is still out until you get your own hands on the game)
D) Less Hyped (mechanics are offputting/absence of character details are disappointing)
aerial smashes have the same speed and animation as regular aerials but wth more power, knockback and a larger (and longer) hitbox
I mean, all we have that's "different" is confirmation that Eruption is blue flames (finally).
D) Still no Snake.
So the reports state that the pajamas aren't in the game, they are in the game, and that we don't know about the two other costumes?TOON LINK:
-There is no island toon link costume.
- toon link has the four swords colors + old style link color, the black with red eyes.
- Toon Link: Pajamas
Congrats!
Good <3PEACH:
-Peach's forward B has BARELY any startup time anymore (the butt slam)
Crap, this is relevant to two avatar bets of mine, does anyne know what happens in the transformation sequences of Charizard and Lucario? Do any trainers show up?
Just saw an interesting tidbit with the guy who's doing an AMA on reddit about what he played of the demo, it's about Robin's aerial smashes:
Source
So, basically, the aerials are the same animation but they have the power of Smash attacks and you have to execute them like you do Smash attacks. Interesting.
Theoretically, yeah.Yeah, never understood the "that character should be cut" line of thinking. Theoretically, we'd want all characters back if possible, I'd think.
From that wall of text.

Also someone made a Levin Sword.

Theoretically, yeah.
But I'm one of those people that would rather we never see Pichu, Doctor Mario, or Young Link again.
I love Pichu. I'd be happy if the only reason that all-stars was locked was due to Pichu not being unlocked yet.
Apparently not.
Zipzo stated that some characters even went to "bubble status" on Battlefield often.

But melee pichu never left. How else would brawl and smash 4 pikachu know volt tackle?![]()
Hey guys! Been a long time lurker on gaf, looking forward to gettin hyped for the rest of this thread and the upcoming OT.
That feeling when you first wake up and have so much awesome stuff to catch up on

I'd only want to see Young Link again if it meant mask transformations
It was really Pikachu that got cut from 64/Melee to Brawl. shaymalantwist.jpg
Can someone explain what this means exactly?
Okay, I was just responding to another post about Dark Samus.Nobody is wondering that.
It's just getting pretty tiring of seeing the whole "Dark Pit made it in? BUT WHAT ABOUT THIS NON-CLONE POTENTIAL CHARACTER THAT I REALLY LIKE! MAN SAKURAI REALLY FUCKED UP!"
If Dark Pit was not in, we'd have 47 characters instead of 48. It's not a matter of substitution. It's a matter of "Well, this character particular skeleton, animation (or even voicework in some cases) is really similar to this other character (Pit), so hey, we can use it as a basis for an additional character! The fans will be happy!".
You cannot use Samus as animation basis for Dark Samus. You cannot use Dr. Mario for a skeleton basis of Ridley. And you cannot use Lucina for anything else than modeling in a shoe magazine. If Dark Pit, Lucina and Dr. Mario were not in, maybe you'd have half of a character done in advance for DLC. Maybe you'd have a couple more alternates costumes. That's it. Not a whole brand new character for each.
I don't mean to go off on you Toxi so please don't feel targeted, it just happened that your post brought back some arguments in mind that I've seen in recent pages and threads, and I just wanted to make it clear. No character slot bullshit. No Sakurai bias. Only time and manpower constraints in a game that have to come out Holiday 2014.
I JUST WOKE UP AND PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT MATCH BONUSES ARE BACK?!
I JUST WOKE UP AND PEOPLE ARE SAYING THAT MATCH BONUSES ARE BACK?!
Dude calm down.Just saw CPP disconfirmed...
WHAT THE FUCK NINTENDO?!
That's ridiculous and unfair on all levels. Now people will have hardware advantages too?
Oh fuck off Nintendo, you cheeky shits. You should have told us this day one so people don't go out and buy a fucking obselete piece of shit to play their damn games.
Truly bummed out by this. Sure, + and A is more satisfying and more "tactical" but that's a massive middle finger to those with a CPP. Is this a Sakurai doing or a Nintendo doing? BS.

It's a mixture of things for me. For one, I want clones to at the very least be visually distinct from the original characters. That's why characters like Doctor Mario, Pichu, and Young Link are a problem. Toon Link fills up Young Link's role and is much better at it, as he represents a sub-branch of the Zelda series with a completely different art style. So what you're saying is you're evil?
In all seriousness, if they could make them reasonably different (and make Pichu not worthless by... Hurting itself. Who thought that was a good idea?) then why not?
Maybe it's just me, I've never been opposed to clones. Then again, I am coming from Tekken, that series is practically the homeland of clone characters.
My main, and at least he looks quite different compared to his source character.
