What is the best non-digital way to read some Moebius comics? I always read about what a legend he is, but trades are hard to find. There are some very pricy hardcover trades that aren't very many pages here ($60 for 48 pages), but I'm looking for a better deal.

Unfortunately, that's the only way. I really wish some cheap TPB collections would get released. I'd really like to check out Moebius.

Most of it is hard to find in print I think. Just had a look at the humanoids site though and it looks like they're doing another print run of the Incal hardcover trade: http://www.humanoids.com/album/564#.VAu9qhbhN7M That's dated for September 24th. Bendis foreword though... :/

Man you guys move fast with the thread. I gotta read more DC books I guess!

...if they scored Brubaker back I would be on his book Day 1.

Sprouse was cool as hell, telling us all about his issue of Multiversity.

Yeah, I commented to my wife that not only was he telling us about it, but talking to us in a very natural way. Kinda hard to explain but he is bouncing off all the stuff to us like we wrote the script or something.

How long ago did they start these digital code things?

My God.

I must have a million and didn't even realize it.

Redeem them before it's too late!

Really enjoyed Legendary Star Lord #3. This issue was really silly but I dug the tone. It fits. I also enjoyed the small bits of
Kitty Pryde
. Not sure how I feel about the implied
relationship between Kitty and Star Lord.

Kitty's banana costume was so very random

Punisher 10...

The Widow version of the crossover issue might as well not exist.

Yep. Plus Noto drew Frank oddly and his hair wasn't at the same length as Gerrads' usual style for Punisher.

Marvel editors are way too lenient on these guys, they need to really need to pay more attention to continuity and detail because it's ridiculous. I'm tired of artists being all out of sync in an industry where you're a professional.

You don't want to being like current DC doe.

Also found in this week's reading..Lady Loki has no legs. Also an odd close-up where it looks like she's supposed to be in shadow except her nose, but there's a drawn nose against a featureless skin colored backdrop.

I've otherwise enjoyed how they made the 10th Realm the Bianchiverse though. Marvel put up a cool time-lapse video of him painting one of the Thor/Loki covers.

DC needs to get on the ball as well as Marvel has with the digital copies.
I know that they have "combo packs" or something for a dollar more available but bleh

I never like the combo pack variant colour schemes either. I ended up rebuying most of Zero Year in standard editions to get the proper covers and negated any possible savings.

Whew I crashed. Cons can be exhausting. Especially when you are all excited the night before to get enough sleep. Here is a Phil Noto print my wife bought. He explained that it was no one in particular. Phil was head down for the most part because he was swamped with commissions and he came off as kinda internal. He was a cool guy though.

That's a gorgeous piece.

His rendition of Frank Castle stinks but otherwise he's a stellar artist, especially when it comes to women.

Where can I buy prints or posters of Noto's work online?

Stumptown is so good, Dex is awesome. I really liked reading about Mathew Southworth's drawing process. He puts a lot of effort towards making Portland feel accurate. Onto vol 2.

I'm re-reading the Action Comics issues with The Legion and I dunno why people hate. It's so damn charming and I legitimately laugh at the beginning. It's so good.

Yup. GH was the one who turned me onto this story in particular and I never got around to talking about it before. It's one of my favorite Superman stories.

It's not really that people hate it's that alot of people just don't know. But yeah it manages to be both a great reintroduction for most people to the concept of the Legion while also being a wonderful look at the Superman who is a hero regardless of powerset or state.

You also get a little Secret Origin with his first encounter with them. I've always been a huge fan and proponent of the Legion as part of Superman's childhood. Having those super-powered friends on his level to have awesome adventures with, who love and adore him, without reservation is a core component of who he becomes in the future. That he is both inspired by and inspires the Legion is the perfect cyclical time travel story.

Also, in that run in particular, Gary Franks art is just a delight on top of everything else. His faces are just so expressive. Like Chameleon Girl when she turns brunette before kissing Sunboy.

As to the beginning... Do you mean stuff like
Brainiac 5 sending a giant robot just to get Superman's attention? Or stuff like Saturn Girls "Why no, I don't have a boyfriend" mind reading?

Time for list and everyone forgot but me!

Batman Eternal #23
Copperhead #1
Invincible #114
Velvet #7
Walking Dead #131
Amazing Man of Spiders #6
Hawkguy #20
Ms. Marvel #8
Powers Bureau #11

You're absolutely right, let's all take a moment and enjoy it again.

Brainiac photo bomb. Also love the silent communication between husband and wife as you see the disparate personalities of Colossal Boy and Chameleon Girl. To him, it's not a big deal, it's a friend and they need to save the day.

Marvel is pushing boundaries. They want to see how much they can get away with before the inevitable $4.99 price-hike.

$4.99 is too common place now. Marvel is looking ahead to $5.99.

Realistically, I think $4.99 is where a lot of people just dump all their Marvel books save one or two, and just trade-wait everything. I would for sure. I'm getting most of my enjoyment (comic-wise) these days from Image.

So I just finished Supreme Blue Rose #1 and #2. Man, such a great book. Ellis is definitely writing some super far-out metaphysical whosiwhatsit here, but combined with Tula Lotay's art? HHHHNNNNNNGGGGGG

I just read the solicit for issue #1 and I think I know less now than I did before, lol @.@

It's actually really well-written. There's a lot of metaphysical-OMG-what's-happening mumbo-jumbo, but you always jump back to what I would call the main plot-thread involving an investigative reporter hired to go out and find the truth of things, and I think that's what keeps the book grounded and prevents it from becoming completely abstract.

I'm not even judging the book. I was talking about the solicit pitch on the page for the first issue on Comixology. I was curious and it's just sort of Lolwut.

Oh, I know. I was just trying to convey that there actually is a plot in there. But this is a book that's worth picking up just for the art.
