They did announce wind waker would be available digital early, so it's not IMPOSSIBLE, but it's still pretty darn unlikely. Since treehouse says they're streaming the final version of the game... that means it's... done... so the release date is basically arbitrary at this point and makes me really angry that it's 3 weeks later for no reason :/

Maybe they delayed it to prevent leaks, like the ORAS release in Canada?

They said final build didn't they? so I'm assuming they mean the Game is mechanically finished(which it kinda has to be since Japan gets it Friday), but it's probably not fully translated yet. That's the only explanation I can think of.

I mean, it's possible it's not gold yet :/ I just don't get why you wouldn't go the extra mile to do worldwide release. It kinda deflates hype a little for a game like smash bros :/

Oh well, I imported a japanese 3DS, and will be buying it on there ALSO, so I guess nintendo wins? Just not NOA.

Exactly, because the Japanese version came out first, so American leaks can't spoil it, like in an international release. Nintendo trusts Japanese people more.

The thing with Wind Waker is that the Intend To Buy Digitally (Club Nintendo) was also up 2 weeks before the physical release, aaand it was announced in advance, plus it also came with a new Wii U SKU. IF the Smash 3DS XL came with a digital copy of the game, this would be a no brainer, but that not being the case, I don't have any hope in this regard. I do share your irritation at us having to wait three weeks because NoA's gonna NoA. At least I hope we get the Wii U version in parity with Japan, if not earlier.

Even without any leaks this thread would hit that. Look at how many pages pass on a bland and boring day. It will easily reach that goal.

Finished products get held back for marketing reasons all the time. Could be that they just want to sit on it because they expect better reception for it in October.

actually, Dixie was part of a related "leak" that predicted Bowser Jr, Duck Hunt Dog, and others. thats why people keep including her. also, if you needed more reasons, her data was in brawl, presumably almost making the cut as playable.

You can get them for under 20 dollars before shipping. Some ship internationally.

Hey Joe, you should totally check something once you get the game: check how Mega Lucario works. So far its the only transforming final smash that we've seen without the darkened camera lighting effect, so I think the way it works is that it keeps Lucario Mega-Evolved until Lucario gets KO'd, which makes sense, since it seems like one of the arguably weaker final smashes (it just boosts him to full aura).
