No Destiny for me either. I generally have little interest in MMO's, and at the moment have my hands full with Professor Layton Vs. Phoenix Wright, Danganronpa 2 and I just got Diablo 3 (let's play!).

Can't wait for Theatrhythm and Persona 4 Arena 2 though :O

Been keeping busy by reading Geoff John's Teen Titan run. It's making me super nostalgic for the show and even angrier at how badly the New 52 series was :( This omnibus is massive though! Can't even use the Official ComicGAF method to read it, gotta put it on the dining room table.

Top of the page post: Pick up Stumptown #1 this week!

The title was inspired by a letter on a bulletin board announcing changes in the Walmart dress code "A New look for Customer Service." Had some brah and a speech bublle that read "we will look neat, clean and friendly." Instantly I just felt a unique mix of depressed, melancholy, happy and inspired as if my conscious and subconscious were working in unison. That everything in my life had led up to the moment of me reading the sign.

Hahaha. Oh man. This is gonna be good.
So it's "Retail: The Webcomic" then, essentially? My four years in retail are finally gonna mean something.

No omnibus is too big for the Official ComicGAF Method (TM). If I can read Colossal Conan and Big Damn Sin City in the omnibus position, you can read Teen Titans.

It was a nightmare trying to read Doom Patrol without a recliner, I read through most of it laying on my stomach on my bed with it spread open in front of me.

Animal Man is smaller though, so it's easier to read.

No Destiny for me. I don't really like MMOs. I just got Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney, and I couldn't possibly be happier. I'm also excited for Smash 4 next month.

Slightly off topic, Southern Bastards was insanely good last week. I haven't read God Hates Astronauts yet though.

Not quite....my imagination is..... Well, lets just say it makes Truthers and Birthers look like a second grade teacher's innocence.

Just finished Astonishing X-Men.

That ending was sad as fuck.

Somebody spoil to me what happens with
Kitty after she gets merged with the giant space bullet and lost in space.

Years later, Magneto finds the space bullet and uses his powers to pull it back down. Like, that's all there is to it. It was pretty dumb. Then Kitty's powers are permanently on and she can't touch anything, but they fixed that pretty quickly too.

Don't know why I'm spoiler tagging this, but what the hey:
after he joins the X-Men, Magneto brings the bullet back to Earth and successfully separates Kitty from it, but she's been intangible for so long that she's stuck in a "ghost" state, unable to interact with or even talk to others. For a while they keep her in a stasis tube, and then she gets a containment suit to walk around in, but she still can't talk or communicate in any way except telepathically. Then some aliens from the Breakworld show up in another story about Colossus, and one of them does something that resets her powers and she's normal again.

The Breakworld "sequel" of sorts that fixed Kitty Pryde was actually pretty good. After years of Fraction/Land garbage, it was nice to get a competent 4-part story from Uncanny X-Men again.

Goran Parlov knows his stuff. He's one of those "artist's artists". You should check out his with run with Ennis on Punisher Max, his current Starlight series with Millar, and his work on "Marvel Universe vs. The Punisher" with Jonathan Maberry.
I'm totally onboard with the Parlov love now.

Are you reading that hardcover? Bringing it up cuz it finally came in the other week and I think they did a pretty nice job on it -- I mean, the dust jacket is what it is, but the actual book? Pretty sweet tbh

Yeap, copped the hardcover after some of you guys strongly recommended it. Great call.

Goran Parlov is straight up one of the best comic artists working together. People forget how beast mode he is cuz my dude is always on point. Single handily making Starlight worth reading(well that and the colors)

I'm probably going to get the Starlight trade now. Is the story decent? I know some people were saying it's solid Millar, and deviates from his standard recent horseshit output.

No, it's not decent. It's the most by the numbers story I have ever read since Chika Chika Boom Boom.

So, should I read the new She-Hulk? I've never read She-Hulk in my life. What can I expect? I've enjoyed the All-New Punisher, Hawkeye, Deadpool, Black Widow, and Moon Knight.

It's worth trying out. I dropped it because I wasn't really into the writing but Filthy Slug is a big believer. I really liked Dan Slott's run. It's goofy and fun, which is something that Slott is great at.

And have you welcomed New Warriors into your life? It's the best team book you're not reading
and it's getting cancelled in two months

The only team books I'm reading is Secret Avengers (which I might drop cause my LCS didn't get me two of the issues, so I'll just trade wait) and Superior Foes
which ends in two months too :(

I generally don't read team books.

Yes, absolutely. I know you love Hawkeye, and this is in the sort of, kind of same vein of down-to-earth superhero characters living life outside of giant world-ending brawls. Don't think it's a ripoff or anything, as Soule and Pulido and Wimberly all put a ton of love into making She-Hulk the most fun and vibrant big two book, while still maintaining quality writing throughout.

Check out the first few issues and see if you're feelin' the best giant green single female lawyer book being released currently.

Nothing crazy about this page, but I really like the exchange, the characterizations, and just how calm and cool it is for two superheroes to be chilling atop the Golden Gate Bridge:

Well, I'm pressing ahead with Deadpool and now
PHIL COULSON
! is guest-starring?

Kinda hope this arc has Deadpool
shoot Gorman in the face.

Alright, I'm gonna give it a shot.

I only read the up to the part where Deadpool marries
Shikla
and I haven't read any of the backup stories yet, but...

It's nice to see the underdog finally get a goddamn real win. Plus, finally having a substantial part of the Marvel Universe actually be there for Wade after all the shit he's had to wade through.

I would have died laughing if Frank Castle had shown up too.

Fuck you, you ULTIMATUM tools.

Anyone know when Volume 2 of the Deadpool hardcovers is hitting? I need to add it to my growing collection.

Edit: Are Deadpool: Dracula's Gauntlet and Daredevil: Road Warrior worth grabbing as well? Dunno what's up with this Infinite Comics thing.

LOL I'm gonna have to find your post saying "what the hell's Dracula's Gauntlet?"
Dracula's Gauntlet is the story in where Deadpool meets Shikla.

I'm on a super late start to reading comics so I don't really have a ballpark at all for the betters and worses of comics, but I just picked up the Grayson: Future's End and was really digging how they flipped the structure for this one-off. Was a pretty big surprise coming off New 52 Nightwing stuff which are kinda eh, and some of the other Grayson sillyness.

I think we need Kipp to design the Official NeoGAF Omnibus Stone Lectern.

That happened to to Kitty in the 80s, too. Literally the same thing. I don't know how it happened back then, but I have an old Fantastic Four Vs. X-Men TPB where the plot revolves around the X-Men looking for help from Mr. Fantastic and Dr. Doom to cure her.

WTF Marvel?

Messi, you like and will read bad comics, right? Check out the Flash Season Zero digital comic for us.

Show tie ins are not my Forte

Youre just buying it for the Harley Challenge Maps, am I right?

I love all the Arkham games but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't super hyped* when they announced Harley was the bonus character.

*squealing like a little girl when they trailer ended with it.

Also they aren't challenge maps anymore apparently. It's story stuff.

Do the Guardians use their movie costumes in their book? I know star lord does in his and there was a panel of Rocket wearing his in the most recent Star Lord. I just like Gamoras costume in the Trial of Jean Grey more.

My ideal Gamora outfit would be her outfit from the Abnett-Lanning GotG run, but less revealing.

Or this, again, less revealing:
