PlayStation Network Thread (Vita/PS3/PS4) | September 2014

Baekshi is that guy that comes with the inconvenient truths at the most inconvenient times, but you know he's still telling the true and you'll end up hating the messenger. Unfortunately, we can't have a topic where we can delude ourselves that the Vita is doing terrific for everybody and that it'll last for years, spawning several successors.

Honestly, it is totally ok to not like stuff like that and to not want it in a game you are playing, but by calling it "creepy pervert shit" you are simultaneously calling it shit, and calling anyone who enjoys that stuff or doesn't mind it a creepy pervert. You undermine your argument when you phrase it like that. And I know you were just quoting someone else's phrasing, but perpetuating a negative phrasing is no better than starting it.

That's the real problem I have had with the "creepy pervert shit" hating lately. I don't care for fanservice, but it doesn't bother me. I know it does bother people, and they are free to avoid games that have it. What does bother me is people labeling anyone who likes fanservice as a pervert and automatically looking down on them for it. Just like what you like and let others like what they like.

The code for the online pass didn't work on his EU account but since he was able to play online and that he already had the EU digital version I guess that an EU online pass works on that copy. So, if I'm not mistaken, since the online pass should be included in the game in EU and not a stand-alone download, the only way to buy it would be buying the game digitally and use that as an online pass.

Bilinear filtering is a necessary evil when you're upscaling to a target resolution that is not a direct multiple of your source resolution. The resulting "blurriness" is a better compromise than the disgusting "uneven pixel" mess that results from nearest-neighbour scaling.

Of course the ideal solution would have been for them to properly port the game to a different resolution, but failing that, they should at the very least use proper scaling, which they didn't.

For some reason i was not expecting a "new"(let's say so) Fifa on Vita... instead there's even a bundle! Good i guess.

Filtered scaling destroys the 16-bit aesthetic. At any rate, I'm pretty sure the main gameplay was modified to look better on the Vita screen, at least compared to what I've played of co-op on the XBLA version (the Vita version is more zoomed in and follows the character between planes, and the backgrounds are rendered as polygons). The main scaling issues I noticed are in the menus.

If true, this is genuinely unsettling to me. Windows users still have Media Go, but for how long? PSP compatible software is still coming out.

What happens to Vita games five years from now when they shut down its store with PS3's gone a year or two prior? Sony hasn't provided a PC alternative and PS4 looks like it'll never receive that software on the store. There's not going to be a Vita successor either.

Read the thread. The only change is that the store can not be used from the PSP. You can buy stuff through the webstore and download it directly to the PSP through the download list.

AFAIK, tbe only way to access the download list on PSP is through the PlayStation Store.
 
To be fair, I can see why people would misunderstand that PSP thread as the translation level is not high. But yea I was definitely waiting for confirmation on what they actually meant before deciding whether to care/not care.

The source email states pretty clearly that you will be able to download things directly to the PSP through the download list. I would still consider this a rumour anyway so idk

Just a question, I recently bought a white PS4 when I sold my old black ps4, but I purchased the protection plan with the black. Since my account is already registered with the old, is the protection plan transferrable to the new? I can't seem to buy the plan with the new one because I've already purchased it.

Don't quote me on this but i think the plan is probably on account level rather than system.
