Why does the multi player constantly put you in the same map over and over again. I've played Mars 4 times in a row. In the beta I played the Moon 6 times in a row. What gives?
 
I got removed from a fire team right before we blew up the robot spider thing during a public event.does that mean I get none of the rewards since it put me back to the spaceship
 
Destiny drinking game:

1. Get into a neogaf fireteam
2. When you have to deploy the ghost to do everything take a shot
3. we can all die together, friends

That happened to me, but for some reason I thought to look yesterday morning at 5:30 and managed to cancel it while it was preparing for shipment. Fortunately, I imagine Amazon will refund you at least the majority of what you paid. There may be a restocking fee though. Amazon is pretty flexible.

did Devils Lair get harder ? holy crap I really struggled on a run just now. All my tactics from before didnt quite work as before.

Same here....does anyone have a good link describing the 3 classes, didnt play the Beta and I have no clue which class I want to be? Saw a video on the Titan and it looked pretty fun.

Loving it. Smashing heads left right and centre with my titan. Some poor....Hunter? Tried to golden gun me, and got his face punched in for the trouble. lol so good. Getting pretty irritated by never getting any loot for the matches though, especially when people lower on the scoreboards are getting uncommon stuff. C'mon! I haven't got an uncommon gun besides the terrible machine gun I have :(


This game was a great purchase, I think it'll be my FPS of choice for the forseeable future. The gunplay is so much more fun than Halo or CoD imo, and the maps in Crucible are bigger than I expected them to be which is nice.


Haven't gone further in the story than the beta yet, but as long as it's no worse than what I've already done I'll probably give this game a solid 8/10.




Query- where should I be going to get the unlock shaders from those codes we had before? I've got one of the engrams, but the rest haven't showed up and neither have the custom shaders. Also, where can I read my grimoire cards?

^This. It will be my go to PvP shooter for the foreseeable future. I'm pretty burned out on COD, I like BF but that doesn't scratch the smaller scale gun on gun only (or guns mostly) itch for me. I only have PS4 so Halo is out. And I loved the PvP in the alpha/beta. I'll probably play the campaign and strikes while I'm leveling up and they line up well with my level, but after that it's hundreds of hours of crucible for me.
 
Question guys. So by accident, I digitally purchased the PS3 version when I wanted the PS4 edition. I'm aware of the free upgrade but wanted to preload the game before launch last night.

I talk to PS Store customer service, who tells me if I refund the game, which they can do, I may lose pre-order content, which I took to mean the refund will take longer than the remaining time before release (at this point, about 3 p.m. PDT, so 9 hours before release).
He then brings up the free upgrade, which he said "will unlock at midnight". Leading me to believe I would have it sooner on PS4 if I just waited until midnight. Obviously, this turned out to be a straight-up lie.

So now I'm stuck with the PS3 version until tomorrow at 6 p.m., after which I will still have to download the game to my PS4. Here's my question, should I complain to Sony about this? I don't want this kinda stuff to happen to others but I also don't want to get anyone fired. After all, I'm the one who fucked up buying the wrong version.

Damn I regularly had that problem in the beta, sucks it hasn't been fixed. You think it would be easy to just cycle through a rotation of the maps :/
 
Post in OT1 got buried. How are we doing "make friends with GAF"? Is there a spreadsheet? Or something else?

One of my few complaints with this game is that the tooltips are always there. It won't stop reminding me about how to check my objective unless I do it, even if I know what the stupid objective is. And I am constantly being reminded how to go to orbit when I'm in the tower. Thanks, game, I've only done it a dozen times.

I understand a challenge, but this is just pure tack-on of stretching out the fight

I think they made the game harder for no apparent reason
You scale things up gently, on a curve
You can't ask people to put in 25+ minutes to just kill 1 final boss

Even goddamn MMO's don't go 25 minutes in dungeon fight
5-10 minutes, your done

Little by little this game is losing points for me
I may play it for a long time, but holy fuck adjustments for the game need to be made

Also I love how some waves during Summoning Pit, no mob drops ammo
So you have to wait and hope you get something

First impressions after 3 hours:
The Tower is really well done and in terms of production quality the game really shines.
The story so far is... Which story? It just feels poor executed - like when I play an MMORPG. I expected more but maybe it will pick up in this discipline.
The shooting feels quite good but I'm already burned out by reaching a way marker, shoot things, and finishing a mission. Let's see how it's going later on. So far I'm having fun but the hype will make a lot of people disappointed I would guess.
 
Joining the legions that got a ripped up box for their Ghost Edition. As a collector of nice package design, I'm way more upset by this than I should be, but I guess there isn't much to be done about it.

Got a couple of hours in before I headed to work, something feels different from Beta, almost like the numbers feel slightly more balanced. I could be imagining it?
 
Anyone know anything about this bonus Vanguard Armory stuff? I put in the code. I downloaded and installed. Not sure what to do next.

so... how do we find GAF clan members in-game? I keep getting put with randoms and can only see people already on my friends list.

at level 5 you can get the crucible access. it's only control point though.. you gotta unlock the other ones. kinda shit tbh. It's super fun though.


as an aside, why does NO ONE on the ps4 use voice chat? it feels fucking barren and it's sad. I remember playing halo 2/3/odst/etc on 360 and everyone is social and has fun, here it's just... I don't know, feels like i'm playing bots. I'm going to blame ps4 on coming with a garbage headphone/mic. I bought the 8$ rocketfish one and it's already way better, but it seems like no one uses voice and it's a shame :(. I miss the 360 days.

How is the XBone version for people? is there any more communication?
