What target group comprises iPhone users who are willing to spend $350 on what is essentially an add-on device to their iPhone?
I wouldn't be seen dead wearing this "watch".

Did Tim Cook make this infographic?

Yeah, I've said it before and I'll say it again: Don't underestimate the power of convenience. It probably won't happen right away at these prices, but once smart watch models get as cheap as $50-$99 I could see them becoming very mainstream.
So lg seems to be in the lead now. Their next watch looks great and their phone is mostly good.
And I personally prefer the ZenWatch in both looks and function (apparently, the battery lasts longer than a day with that one). If there was one good concept out of AndroidWear, that one's it. I agree with others that it's best to allow multiple manufacturers tackle these things under a unified OS.
As I understand it, the Apple Watch lacks GPS unless tethered to your phone. Is that correct?
How is that even remotely useful for runners?

I just think it looks awesome. A regular watch that I would normally go for + smart watch stuff.
As long as the battery is decent I'm on board.

Reading the verge is embarrassing today.
"The Apple Watch is poised to dominate the market for digital fitness trackers"

So it's ok for showering, but not for showering

The Apple unveiling was awesome. Not that crazy about the watch, its cool if not necessary, but I have to hand it to the marketing team, that ad was superb.
The G Watch R looks a lot better in press photos than in real life. The press photos make it look like the screen isn't that noticeably different from the bezel, but in reality it's jarring:

The ZenWatch on the other hand...

Pure sex.
Dem renders.
That watch looks cheap and crummy in real life.

Is there a real life photo of the zen watch for comparison though?

Just to clarify:
The watch is completely useless w/o an iPhone nearby? Or just has limited functionality?

People feel too strongly about these things.I wouldn't be seen dead wearing this "watch".
You should post a picture of it on its side. It looks so good with that brown strip.
It sounds like you're being sarcastic, but the brown strip doesn't take away much from the design or make it look very ugly. I don't get what your point was.
Uhh i wasnt being sarcastic at all....
I remember thinking how the iPad was just a big iPhone. How wrong I was.
