Hey DGaf! Been away for a few days and now we have an OT2. Destiny hype!

Question: Tonight, I tested purposely leaving a green (uncommon) engram on the ground during a story mission. Upon returning to the tower, there was no engram waiting for me at the postmaster.

So I'm assuming that was just an incorrect rumor? Has anyone else tried this?

How one-shots with handcannons are "balanced" is beyond me. Bungie pls. It's not like you only get one shot, either.

Small ammo count, not so fast reload. And you have to go for headshots to be effective with them, which is not so easy with invisible vandals all in your face while a sniper is taking pot shots at you.

you don't get a map, you also don't get a 'deaths' counter in PVP because they don't want you not enjoying the game by seeing how many times you did a dead.

If you enter a mission that a friend is doing, you don't automatically join them. You'll have to manually join their fire team if you want to do it together.

The only real complaint I have about Destiny is the competitive multiplayer. It is completely ass as there is no balance anywhere to be found. You either roll a shotgun or you stay out of comp multi.

i have been disconnected from live (360) 10 times in the last 30 min.. if i let it sit theres no issue but as soon as i get halfway into the lvl 4 map it just quits out (as i capture the first point)... never had this issue. will leave the game alone for the night and see if theres anything wrong tomorrow. what a frustrating experience

if you miss with a handcannon, you're screwed

the effective range is maybe past some of the furthest reaching fusion rifles and the handcannon is still never a oneshot kill (yet #ironbannah)

Nope, nothing in the past. First time having a sony console in awhile. I don't think I have gold already, or automatically got put in a trial. I'm looking at the PS4 start screen and can't tell anyway to check if I do.

I'm kind of glad I didn't play the Alpha/Beta. Going into it fresh has been really nice. I won't be able to play tomorrow. It's going to feel like forever. Just want to get a really nice Hunter Cloak.

I wrote this earlier but I have to ask again since I'm not getting an answer anywhere. Did anyone have any issues uploading videos from PS4? I went to upload a video clip but got "Please Wait..." and then error NP-31828-2. Everything else works fine. Hope I come home and it's working because I had some fun things happen in Destiny.

Finally playing tonight.

Not past the beta sections yet but holy shit does bungie need to do something about these load times.

This is a major problem when it takes minutes to load the section you go to to identify loot.


The first wizard mission seemed pretty fun on hard. I think starting missions on hard will make them more fun and less tedious?

the point of using pistols is you don't miss otherwise stick to spray n pray

you generally don't want to miss with any weapon - missing shots with an AR means that scout rifle has an extra shot to line up on your face. spray and pray is not going to carry you through this PvP.

if you miss with a pistol, you're fucked more than with any other weapon. its a gambler's weapon even if you do have outstanding aim.

I wasn't targetting you specifically as the term has been thrown around a lot in this thread.

I'm hugely disappointing in the game for what it could have been.

In my situation I am the only one of my friends with a PS4, all my friends picked it up on the 360 or XB1. So my perspective is for the solo player, I have no doubt that this game is a blast in groups.

I did play a bit in beta so shame on me, I just assumed joining public missions would be added as it is pretty much a standard now.

The mission mechanics are a copy/paste from Halo, which is no big whoop as I like halo, but the story arc is B movie quality and it is just tedium fighting waves and waves of the same 4 or 5 mobs.

To break the tedium, I goto PVP and after getting my ass handed to me for a while, I adapt and currently love it (yay!). Only you cannot get a group set and actually speak to people unless they are part of you fireteam (I assume you can bring pre-made into PVP?) again something that is standard fare.

It is hard to express tone in posts, most of these issues are more baffling to me than holy shit this game sucks, the game is worth the money I spent on it but Bungie has the expertise (all of these features have been in Halo) , time and unlimited money making this game..so what happened?

I've been doing the same, less glimmer than the Beta but still lots og items. Saving up for a nice ship, I had no idea you could get ship blueprints at all though, so that's pretty sweet. Gonna get back to it in the morning I think, get me my own if I am lucky.

Try the start of the Venus explore too, more or less same glimmer, but enemies and chest seem to be dropping a lot of blues, gotten 6 in the last 2hours or so.
